So the rules for this are fairly simple, follow the guidelines and that's about it. :P

Ask for clarification if needed.

Guidelines:

-Make your maps original, don't copy/steal someone else's design.

-16 colors and hack box sized :P

So, we'll be going back to the remake/reimagine thing from earlier. Participants can choose to remake one of two maps.

Choices:

FE5 Chapter 2

OR

FE9 Chapter 9

Tileset: Any (Customs are allowed)

Size:

- Width: 15-30

- Height: 10-30

Remember to choose just 1 map and be sure to post which one you chose.

Winners shall pick the next map to be revamped, any map from FE(or anything similar to FE ex Tear Ring Saga) that isn't GBA FE for obvious reasons lol or a new map and tileset like normal

Winners of 3 contests in a row are barred from entering the round following their 3rd victory.

All participants must vote in the round they entered or they will be barred from entering the following round. Refusal to cooperate consecutively will result in multiple bars.

Note: Let's try to actually make maps and not Photoshop creations.

30x21. It's a re-imagining of the FE5 map, uses one of Feaw's custom tilesets (and I think I used a few custom mountain tiles of my own).

(In case you're not seeing how it matches to the FE5 map, look at this, and then try again)

Hah, we already remade a bunchy of maps of FE5 years back on FESS. Too bad everyone used grid'd tiles :p

(not a submission, just a point of interest!)

tbh you could just remove the grid if it was that much of an issue.

and that is the weirdest image I've ever seen, partially quality destroyed by Jpeg-ness, partially intact PNG

No, part of it being made years back means it wasn't made with mappy or tiled, but was stitched together manually tile-by-tile in paint. It'd have to be redrawn to get the bars out of it (as a simplest solution), as they aren't a separate layer, but directly interposed with the graphics themselves.

Yes I know that, and in order to remove them, you manually remove them in paint, I know what I'm talking about lol.

And mappy is pretty old to begin with, like 2003 or earlier, so it was around at the time this was made(FE8 came out in 2005), so whoever made that gave themself more work.

Would it be more socially acceptable if I took the second integral of it/ back to homework.

Pfft, take a line integral instead and find the work done on a particle moving throughout the map.

@Cam's entry: Very slick, I got a kick out of it. A good kick. You should enter more often. smile.gif

Heh, I figured I wouldn't laze out this time. (Also a lot of the more recent rounds were indoors which take me way longer and school and yeah I have no excuse)

Update:

Fixed the stair-bridge and the other horizontal thingy (thanks Feaw).

There may have been more to him initially, considering there's another unused bandit theme, if memory serves, in the game. Comical bandits also became a thing for Fire Emblem too :p

(26x23 - this tileset has absolutely no diagonal mountain lines D:)
