Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne/Lucifer's Call ON HARD MOOOOOOOODE!

Recommended Posts

Ahhhh yessss~

Beat Nocturne for the second time yesterday as well as obtaining all of the demons in the game, all of the Magatama, and kicking Lucifer's ass to prove to him that I am strong enough to wage the holy war against YHVH but not before he Root of Evil'd me and then pointed at me to death. Stupid Almighty finger point of death...

My final party was as follows:

LV. 100 and something Demi-Fiend (obviously)

LV. 100 and something Shiva the Lord of Dance

LV. 100 and something Beelzebub, Lucifer's right hand man

LV. 100 and something Metatron, YHVH's voice and is secretly Megatron

So yeah... I was kind of overpowered for that fight but Root of Evil is a bitch.

Any who. Hard mode shenanigans.

Named Demi-Fiend Kashima Naoki since that's the name he was given for some radio drama thing. Nickname is Ein as per usual. Ah yeah~

Chose the hooded jacket because I like the Strength and Vitality bonuses. Hehehehe...

Since Hard mode is a bitch I actually got a few game overs during the first few battles because Critical hits snargleblargh.

Got my obligatory Pixie because that seems to be the main thing in the main SMT games which is getting a Pixie as your first demon. She's cute too.

Some hospital exploration later and recruiting a few demons I reach Forneus the Fallen floating stingray angel thing. Yeah.

He's weak to Electricity and my Pizie and Shikigami Zio skill made short work of him despite his Bufu skill dealing over half damage to my demons so yeah...

Wadatsumi get and I can go explore Tokyo since it's now a sphere and YHVH seems to like Japan. A lot. He must be a weeaboo.

To Yoyogi Park since the Pixie wanted to get back there but I decide to keep her since I can always use her help.

So Shibuya it is and then I realize one of my main gripes with Hard mode that being that everything in the stores cost three times as much than in Normal mode and the two Magatama in Shibuya will run you a pretty 15,000 Macca bill. Glorious...

After exploring Shibuya a bit and getting some info to the Amala Network I go.

More crawling dungeoning later, a boss fight later, and I am now in Ginza. I think... I'm pretty sure it's Ginza. Memory don't fail me now...!

Some demon recruiting and demon fusion takes place since I can fuse any demon regardless of their level now which is gonna make Hard mode somewhat more bearable and I can always buy back some of my high level demons since they're half off due to getting all of the demons.

This should be fun~

Oh yeah. This thing exists. I guess I'll post an update.

I explore Ginza as I foolishly attempt to recruit demons for fusion stuffs although demons happen to be jerks and usually just take the stuff I give them and leave. snargleblargh

Not much to do in Ginza. I just went to the Great Underpass of Ginza and I end up level and macca grinding by breathing fire on Isoras. A lot.

Damn you Hard mode for making everything in the shops cost three times the normal amount!

I did buy the Magatama I couldn't afford at Shibuya since the stupid thing costs 9000 macca as opposed to the regular 3000 macca.

I still need 36,000 macca to buy the other three Magatamas available for purchase in the Great Underpass of Ginza... ;~;

I'm baaaack~

Finished up leveling up and getting macca and junk. Bought the Ankh and Hifumi Magatama and Hifumi will serve me well in an upcoming boss fight all Nocturne players hold dear.

Any who.

More dungeon exploration in the Great Underpass of Ginza.

The first third of the dungeon isn't too bad but there happens to be some guy preventing me from passing through a gate.

SOOOOOOOOO... I decide to help out some collector who's looking for a "bill".

So back to Ginza it is.

I ask Loki if he has a "bill" and he says he might have one and offers to let me rummage through his room for 20,000,000 macca. Haha no.

I'm still gonna raid his sweet pad and that involves killing his guard posted outside his room after I raid it because I'm da best.

I give the "bill" to the collector dude and now I can continue forward.

Only problem being that the flames of the Candelabrum of Sovereignty begin to flicker wildly which can mean only one thing!

A Fiend. :3

Our first Fiend is none other than a Spanish Grim Reaper who is called the Matador!

Ah yes the Matador. That one boss that will hand you your ass on a silver platter if you don't take advantage of the games battle system.

What makes this fight SO ANNOYING are several things.

1 - He has no weaknesses so no extra Press Turns without critical hits.

2 - His Red Capote skill is the same as 4 Sukukajas all at once so unless you have Sukukaja yourself good luck hitting him.

3 - He can cancel any debuffs you use on him with Dekunda making them a waste of MP.

4 - Taunt, Focus, Andelucia. Nuff said.

So yeah. The Matador is one of those humps in a game that forces the player to be a better player.

Fortunately this fight went too well for me that I was actually rather disappointed by how easy he went down. The fact that he never managed to use Red Capote helped a lot.

Fortunately the Atlus gods felt the need to punish my progress my having enemies with poison skills blindside me like 15 times and poisoned Demi-Fiend and my Koppa so I had to cheat death every random encounter because like I said earlier you CAN NOT FLEE FROM BATTLES ON HARD MODE. Fun right?

So a nail biting hour later and I manage to surface in some none obligatory sewer level place and I make it to Ikebukuro and head the Healing Spring ASAP.

Guh... The First Kalpa is gonna be hell... I want my Shiva back! ;~;

Any who. Time to snoop around the Mantra Headquarters because nothing bad can come out of that.

Unfortunately for me I get captured by Thor and I am forced to prove my strength to earn my freedom.

Yay for forced battles~

Any who.

I have to fight an Orthrus and a Yaksini and they down without much trouble.

...Except that the Yaksini killed my Unicorn with a single Mazanma... This is a good sign.

After those two are down Thor himself decides to challenge me to see just how powerful I am. Cool?

I heal up and swap my Unicorn for my Flaemis even though he won't help much but he's not weak to Electricity like the Unicorn and Thor is known as the God of Thunder so yeah...

I set up my buffs and thank goodness that I do because me and my demons actually manage to dodge some attacks.

With Thor satisfied by my strength he allows me to leave and gives me the Narukami Magatama. Gee... I wonder what kind of defenses and skills that will give me? (IT'S ELECTRICITY!)

I heal up and save because I have to fight another boss.

And this boss is a very special boss.

Unfortunately said boss handed me my ass with a single critical hit with a skill called "Rebellion" because he's a jerk. Argh... This is gonna suck...

(The following is how the first battle against Dante tends to go for any Nocturne player)

Dante: "...I'll give you ten minutes to decide.

Which would you rather end up in...

a coffin or a dumpster?"

Demi-Fiend: "Uh..... Neither?"

*instantly one-shotted by a Rebellion critical hit*

Dante: "Smartass..."

---

.....Aaaaaaaaaaaand three attempts later and he goes down. And by goes down I mean he decides to end his little game because he'd completely own your face like no tomorrow if he was actually taking the fight even 1% seriously because Dante is just that badass.

So yeah. Dante face was just testing me because he's curious about what I'll be doing.

*insert yaoi fanboy/girl fantasies here for... some... reason...*

OHGODWHY

AHEM!

Any who.

I bought the Kamudo Magatama for 18,000 macca because Hard mode is a bitch and Kamudo reduces physical damage by 50% so yeah... Taking only 160ish damage from a Rebellion critical is waaaaaaaaay better than 240ish+ damage which one shots me and every other demon I have...

After surviving against Dante face I decide to check out the First Kalpa of the Amala Labyrinth.

Which turned out to be a terrible terrible idea so yeah... Not gonna be checking up on the place until I have stronger demons or buy back Shiva and/or Beelzebub... Or Mara's mount. Actually, I think I'll go with that. Or something.

Guh... Screw the First Kalpa. Everything pretty much kills me in two or three attacks and I can't flee from battles! So much sadness... Shiva I need you! ;~;

Oh well. I gotta talk with Gozuh-Tenno anyway and get two more demon slot for my reserve demon slot things. Yeah.

After that I jump of the 60th floor of the Mantra Headquarters because if Dante can jump from an even higher floor, said floor being THE GODDAMN ROOF, and landing safely like nothing happened to point his handgun at my face and play around then I CAN TOO!

...And everyone in the party has their HP reduced to 1...

I have a long ways to go to be as awesome as Dante. :<

Oh well. Time to fight Daisoujou who looks like one of those mummified priests who actually mummified themselves while they were still alive by isolating themselves and drinking only water for sustenance while their only means of communication was a bell they rung each day so people knew they were still alive. HISTORY!

So yeah. I probably shouldn't have kept the Kamudo Magatama ingested since his Preach skill exploited my Nerve weakness so I almost lost... That and he kept draining chunks of my party's HP and MP with his Meditation skill. And he has his own version of Dragon Eye named Shriek which gives him 4 half-Press Turns... Geez. Daisoujou is such a boss.

After he goes down I get his Candelabrum and now I have to go back to Ginza and head over to the Assembly of Nihilo to go pay Hikawa a visit and ask him where Yuko my love intere--I mean... teacher. Yeah, that's what I meant. I've been looking for her after this whole time. SMT doesn't have any romantic tension crap anyway unless it's Persona, Digital Devil Saga, and maybe some other games of the series. Like the first SMT... Huh... Never mind then.

So yeah. Time to infiltrate the Assembly of Nihilo and maybe wreak some havoc and foil some plans. Or both.

*glugglugglug*

Huh... This strawberry flavored soda doesn't really taste like strawberries. Almost as if it's artificially flavored...

So yeah. Assembly of Nihilo junk. I have to get some Kilas and I have no idea what those are in actuality.

Give me a quick sec to google that.

...

It's an Irish band apparently. So I need a White, Yellow, Red, and Green Irish band to proceed to the boss? Coolio~

I nab a Kila right away since an a Koppa and Incubus and HIS MIGHTY RED HORN DICK OF POINTINESS have one for some reason. They die and I'm one step closer to becoming even more awesome.

Red Kila is next. I just have to navigate through some red colored corridors which obviously does not indicate the Kila I will be getting next. An Eligor who happens to be a rather cool looking fallen angel clad in red armor with a cape and riding an ebony horse while wielding a spear.

His physical resistance is annoying but he's weak to lightning so my Sarutahiko with Zio just so happens to be rather helpful. Then again I have a freakin Sparna and Wu Kong with me so yeah. I'm pretty sure I can take anything the game throws at me right now and some.

...Why do I get the feeling that saying that is gonna bite me in the ass later on?

CLICK THE LINK DAMN IT!

Uh... On to the next area and more rotating some cube rooms to continue puzzles.

I forget which Kila is next. I'm pretty sure it's the Yellow Kila. Either way I have to fight a Berith who happens to be a cool looking fallen angel clad in blue armor and rides a brown horse while wielding a trident. He's also resistant to physical resistance but he's weak to Ice so Naoki's ICE BREATHE helps with that.

Green Kila is next~

But an annoying Kaiwan who looks like a starfish that isn't named Rick with a human face.

He messes with some switches that move the cube things and some backtracking is involved but nothing I can't handle because this puzzle is easy as pie. A PIE THAT CAN KILL YOU!

Er...

I find the room with the Green Kila but it isn't there. The Kaiwan from earlier took it and floated away.

I chase after him and corner him in a room when he could have simply gone somewhere farther away than one of the locked rooms from before that are in the same green area... Pro AI.

The Kaiwan somehow duplicated himself somehow like some kind of ninja named Hattori Hanzo who happens to be the ninjaest of all ninjas.

Only annoying thing about this fight would be the Mudo spell they could cast but they never targeted me so that was coolio. IF ONLY I HAD A MAGATAMA THAT MAKES ME IMMUNE TO DEATH SKILLS.

Sadly, I get it after fighting the boss here...

That's the third time this game has done this already...

First Forneus. Then Thor. Then... Uh... I can't seem to remember. But you can trust me on these kinds of things. Maybe perhaps not really.

So yeah. All Kilas in tow which means I can now access the place to get to the place where I have to fight the boss.

So one more detour. Which I get through and now I have to fight one of the 9 foot tall Cheetahman from that one game called Cheetahmen but this Cheetahman happens to duel wield swords and wears a cape and diaper.

This series is fuckin awesome.

Ose goes down and I get the Anathema Magatama which makes me immune to DEATH SKILLS but weak to Expel skills. Ye-ahh~

Guh...

Damn you floating space place... Why is there a desert in the middle of space anyway?

OH GOD! Sand Dragons and Sand Lions!? What kind of space desert is this! And why do they even look like dragons and lions anyway? THIS IS SPACE! Unless God got bored and made stuff look the same only with the same composition as their surroundings AND WHY IS THERE A GIANT SAND TRAP BUG THING IN THIS SPACE DESERT?! Unless this space desert IS the giant sand trap bug things sand trap... That's a thinker.

ALLCAPS gets my point across.

Now that's dead, time for more space and... Bubbles? FUCKING BUBBLES!

At least I have lasers and Options.

...

They didn't help at all... Fucking bubbles man...

But enough about Gradius III. Time for more Noctunre... ON HARD MODE!

Well then... Ose is dead and Hikawa pretty much nuked the Mantra Headquarters. I wonder how Gozuh-Tennoh is doing?

TO IKEBUKURO!

And into the Mantra Headquarters.

...And Chiaki is there for some reason...

How the hell does she keep showing up in places without having to fight a bunch of demons while I have to fight my way to the freakin toilet at 3 AM...

Bleh... Stupid convenient NPC invincibility...

Apparently Chiaki figured out what she wants in her ideal world which involves the strong ruling over the weak and I'm like "Say whaaaaaaaat?" and she walks off to where ever it is she's going. Wonderful.

I guess I should check up on that one door I couldn't open before in the basement...

Oh hi Isamu. I guess you're gonna go do your own thing to huh? I guess that's cool...

And he's gone until I meet him again to progress the story and because I have at least 24 strength I can open that one door I mentioned earlier which has the second to last Magatama in the Magatama list, Gaea.

No way in hell I'm using it since it makes me weak to Force, Death, and Expel skills and I can't learn the first skill from it for about 50 more level ups. Besides, Gaea Rage isn't as cool as DEADLY FURY!

Now to go see what's up with Gozuh-Tennoh.

...

Apparently he's dyi--Whoop. He's dead now. And he died all kinds of mad. Coolio.

Alrighty then. Time to go jump off the building and--Damn it... Random encounter...

Damn it... I got ambushed.

...Hey. You stupid Babd Cathas! Stop targeting me!

GUH!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!

*game over*

...

Aw man... My head hurts... Where was I? Oh yeah.

Well then... Ose is dead and Hikawa pretty much nuked the Mantra Headquarters. I wonder how Gozuh-Tennoh is doing?

TO IKEBUKURO!

And into the Mantra Headquarters.

NO! No.... I better SAVE this time... Something tells me I should...

Oh hi Isamu. I guess you're gonna go do your own thing to huh? I guess that's cool...

And he's gone until I meet him again to progress the story and because I have at least 24 strength I can open that one door I mentioned earlier which has the second to last Magatama in the Magatama list, Gaea.

...

Apparently he's dyi--Whoop. He's dead now. And he died all kinds of mad. Coolio.

Alrighty then. Time to go jump off the building and go save and heal and junk.

Still not badass enough to not have my health be reduced to 1 from jumping off the building... ;~;

Alright. Now that I've healed up and saved it's time to exit through the East side of the Mantra Headquarters now that the guards are dying.

Whoa... trippy. Red glowing mist/fog thing that appeared and disappeared. You know what that means~

Time to fight another Fiend. :3

Today's challenger is none other than the Hell Biker!

His motorbikle's burning wheels are just a fraction of the his hate for the world and himself. And he sports a bitchin' leather jacket!

Let's see... Hell Biker tends to use Force skills often and Fire skills too. One of his Force skills deals damage as well as gets rid of any buffs you have on and he also has Dekunda so debuffs may be a waste of MP. ;/

...But! I has a Wu Kong, Sparna, and Girimehkala. I think I'll be fine other than that one bit where I almost died. Twice.

I really need to improve my magic stat... Losing a third or half my life is no bueno...

After I beat the Hell Biker I continue on to Kabukicho Prison because I had a lead and I'm going with it because what else am I gonna do? Explore the Amala Labyrinth? Haha. No. And I'm pretty sure I misspelled "Kabukicho" because memory bad.

I should probably explore the Amala Labyrinth anyway...

Dem money, items, and Deathstones aren't being looted themselves.

That and level ups. DELICIOUS LEVEL UPS!

Link to comment

So I decided to explore the Labyrinth of Amala since I have a Sparna, Wu Kong, and Girimehkala and I made short work of it after buying back the Pisaca with all of those exploration skills so yeah.

Pretty much looted everything on the First Kalpa other than the stuff behind the silver doors. I'll get back to those later~

Second Kalpa

Well... Since I defeated Daisoujou and Hell Biker I have access to the Second Kalpa.

When I entered the room where I have to place the Candelabra a Noble Voice spoke out to me and demanded I cease my exploration of the Labyrinth of Amala lest my soul becomes overcome by the darkness that dwells within it.

So I agree to not do that.

For about 15 seconds.

You swear I'm gonna stop. There's money and items and Deathstones to get that I'm not gonna use.

Since I'm not gonna be completing the Second Kalpa for a bit I make a beeline towards a CERTAIN area in it.

It's just a corridor afflicted with an evil curse that deals damage to the main party after every few steps and there's nothing I can do to stop or lessen the damage.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!

High level demons that you would normally see IN THE LAST DUNGEON OF THE GAME inhabit this hellish corridor.

Not only that! They just LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to attack first whenever you have a random encounter coupled with the fact that you cannot run from battles on Hard mode... You can imagine just how much of mmhmm this place is.

Luckily my Pisaca has Trafuri which when used will allow me to flee with a 100% success rate. If the enemies don't kill me off before I can even act that is...

SO AFTER 19 FREAKIN ATTEMPTS! (Yes, I kept track.) ...I finally make it to the end of the corridor and talk with an Ifrit. This cool guy gives me 250,000 macca since he made a bet with a friend up in the surface that no one could make it to him. Luckily I was stupid enough to do just that and I get the fuck out of the damn Second Kalpa because I wanna buy back some old friends.

YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!

Shiva, Beelzebub, and Metatron are back baby!

Hard mode, you are now my bitch!

I'm gonna regret saying that too aren't I...?

I apologize for being slightly off-topic here, but have you by chance defeated Hitoshura in the first DDS? :O

Also I commend you and this entire thread because I lack the patience to beat Nocturne in the first place T_T

Oh snap. I forgot about this thread and now I'm in the last dungeon. Well then. Looks like I have to work on the writing and looking up stuff and writing some more.

Also, yes.

I tried taking him out normally around twenty times which didn't work out too well...

Then I just went with the Red Star strategy and he went down rather easily after surviving the Girimehkala's Mamudoon's and the first Gaea Rage.

You'd think that five Hindu Gods would be able to defeat a half-demon rather easily but Demi-Fiend isn't a normal half-demon.

Back to this thing yay~

I returned to the Second Kalpa and went through the areas rather thoroughly. Except for that invisible wall maze. That thing can go to hell which is funny because I am technically IN hell. Oh me~

I have to find a key to open up the silver doors in the area to proceed to the Third Kalpa. Luckily I come across it on my first attempt through the invisible wall maze and make my way to the Third Kalpa and said path is actually hidden behind an inconspicuous wall that a soul near by tells you you can walk through. Tahnk game developers even though I would have noticed it anyway since I like to explore stuff and junk. Yeah.

Alright. Made it the Third Kalpa without much trouble since have freakin Beelzebub with Death Flies with the nifty ability to instantly any enemy that isn't immune to Death and deals some decent damage to anything that is immune so that Metatron and Shiva can clean up afterwords.

UNFORTUNATELY the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse show up and ask me whether I'd like to continue and I'm kind of tired so I say that I've had enough and they get pissed off and disappear.

I like reading the Pale Rider's dialogue in Death's voice from Castlevania Symphony of the Night. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I should probably have a doctor look into that...

Any who. Since I can't actually access the Thrid Kalpa I have to backtrack to the entrance of the Amala Labyrinth from the Second Kalpa and return to the Vortex World to do whatever it is I need to do since I can't access the Third Kalpa until I defeat three of the Four Horseman. Oh well. TO KABUKICHO PRISON!

Alright. Time to rescue some Manikins and kick ass and take names and maybe get a Magatama or two. Yea-ah.

Since I don't like this dungeon I'm just gonna briefly describe.

Disorienting the dungeon. Seriously. You go up to go down and down to go up because of the whole mirage gimmick it has. Meh. It's still rather simple to navigate once you get your bearings.

At the top of the prison, inside the mirage mind you, a HUGE Mizuchi is waiting for you. It's the cause of the mirage and you gotta take his water snake ass out to continue. Rather simple boss fight really other than its Mirage and Fog Breathe skills. Mirage in particular inflicts Panic so deal with it accordingly while Fog Breathe is something no one likes so get rid of it with Dekunda or offset it with two Sukukajas.

Once the big Mizuch is dead I get the Miasma Magatama and rescue a unique Manikin named Futomim who happens to have the ability to foretell the future and he's the Manikin leader so that's cool.

He says that my friend, Isamu, is in a room near by and I pay him a visit. Apparently Isamu has his own Reason in mind and enters the Amala Network himself to be alone. So yeah..... Back to Ikebukuro so I can get to the Ikebukuro Tunnel to get to some other place via underground tunnel with tricks and traps and maybe a few bosses. I like saying Ikebukuro. It sounds cool~

Oh god why did I start a FOURTH playthrough of this game is addictive and I haven't even kicked Satan's ass in Digital Devil Saga 2 on HARD MODE no less since you can only fight Satan on HARD MODE or started playing Devil Summoner 1 so I can own face with Alice and Mou Shovuu because damn it I love those two cute little demons /catface.

That was a long winded run-on sentence that didn't accomplish much...

So yeah. Ikebukuro Tunnel. It's dark. Bring Light Balls or a demon with Lightoma or just that one Pisaca from the First Kalpa you can buy for 30,000 macca which saves you from a lot of headaches and such. That and Pisaca is one freaky looking demon that goes inside you and manipulates your actions. I like learning about these creatures from all kinds of faith and myth. It's fun.

So as the name implies it's a tunnel that is actually a dilapidated underground subway system since the world kind of ended if you recall. Kind of obvious really.

Fun thing about this place is the unlit areas that make your tattoos far more prominent as your only source of light. Sexy light~ But obviously limits your vision in both the field and on the map. So yeah. Light it up.

Also, red misty floor section that damage you. Lift it up.

Oh yeah. There are also FOUR optional bosses inside this here tunnel and they all happen to be one of the four Oni from some thing who are controlled by a certain individual. Don't ask me about it look it up. My memory is bad as it is.

The four Oni are the following:

Sui-Ki the ice Oni

Kin-Ki the gold Oni

Fuu-Ki the wind Oni

And the best of the four, Ongyo-Ki.

My personal fave is Ongyo-Ki since he has the whole pitch blackness going for him and his ability to be all ninja like gave rise to the ninja's supposed abilities so he's actually the grandfather of all ninja nonsense. PAY YOUR RESPECTS!

The first three Oni aren't too much of a threat..... Other than that they Beast and Dragon Eye to gain 2/4 half Press Turns and buff and debuff you and attack and such. Kin-Ki in particular can be annoying since he resists Physical skills by a lot. Not even 50% like the usual resistance I mean A LOT so magic for him.

So..... Ongyo-Ki.

Make sure you fight him during Full Kagutsuchi unless you want to keep lose in a horrible ninja like way. Other than that all he does is Dragon and buffs himself a few times before using Replicate.

After he's dead I obtain the Murakumo Magatama and unfortunately it's not a moe as fuck blonde girl. I sad.

Once all of that is done and out of the way I make it to Asakusa, the Manikin town they themselves have begun to renovate and make it their city. Good for them.

Welp. That tunnel was kind of thing. Now all I gotta do is heal up and save and why is there a red mist that appeared and disappeared all of the sudden?

Eh. Probably nothing. TO THE SAVE POIN--Wait what? I feel the presence of a terrifying demon?

I don't wanna fight a terrifying demon...! I wanna save my progress! ;~;

Save points are supposed to bring you sanctuary. They're not supposed to harborers of death...!

Oh well. Fiend battle time~

Now, when you can fight him will vary depending on what you answered when you reached the Third Kalpa. If you agreed to the Pale Rider's challenge the White Rider would show up near ALL of the Save Terminals on the Vortex Worlds. If you decline the challenge you will face the White Rider near the Save Terminal in Asakusa. Just something to keep in mind although having to deal with the White Rider every time you wanna you save will get annoying after a while. Probably because he keeps kicking your ass. The other three Horseman show up in predetermined spots after advancing through certain points of the game so need to worry about them since the next two show up in places waaaaaaaay off the beaten path.

That poor path. :<

Today's Fiend is none other than the White Rider!

The first Horseman of the Apocalypse, cloaked in a black robe who rides atop white horse with many eyes on its body. He wears a crown that is said to grant the wearer victory and a fearsome bow!

As usual he's not weak to anything and he nullifies Fire. Unlike the previous Fiends he summons allies to help him out which happen to be Virtues which is a demon of the Divine race. You know, angels that serve God and such. I like this game.

The White Rider starts off the battle by summoning two Virtues. These Virtues are annoying as they cast Hama skills so having the Ankh Magatama ingested is a good idea... And they cast Rakunda. I think. It's been a while. I'm pretty sure they do.

They are weak to Force skills. Something to keep in mind hinthint nudgenudge.

As for the White Rider he's kind of a jerk... His Prominence skill deals Heavy Fire damage and it can definitely kill you off if you get unlucky. He can cast Dekaja so be wary of going buff happy. And his most dangerous skill being God's Bow. God's Bow will instantly kill ANY demon not immune to Expel. Yes, that includes you.

If you can take advantage of Force skills and buffs and debuffs, as usual, you can get through this fight without much of a problem.

Once he's dead and just now I realize how odd that sounds since I killed one of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse and he looks like a skeleton cloaked in a black robe. Anyway. I obtain the Candelabrum of Compassion~

D'aaaw~

I guess the White Rider was just a big softy all along. And now he's dead. Again. Maybe. This is so weird it's awesome.
