shadowofchaos
Yeah... The faces. If you're going for "girly"... the dark eye outline and the general shape of the faces, pretty much kills any chance of that. I'm gonna have to go with Trent and say "their faces scare the living hell out of me." More specifically, the second one, Ilyana's face looks more manly than anything else. The chin especially makes that feeling apparent.
eharper256
Huh, yeah... I've always had a thing with that. Whenever I try to draw chins too small though, they just don't look right. I know they're not great; but scary? That's harsh... Oh well.
Parrhesia
Not exactly my finest work; but I figured somebody may appreciate them. Constructive criticism is fine; but I may not listen, and I have an utterly bizarre way of drawing anyway that infuriates my more artsy buddies: I literally draw pieces by visualising exactly what I want and effectively 'copying' it from my own mind, rather than starting with basic shapes and adding in details- this makes proportion my greatest enemy and I'm aware of that. From one look at that ... Lovecraftian piece of work, I have but one piece of constructive criticism to offer; THAT IS NOT WORKING.
Nanami Touko
I know they're not great; but scary? That's harsh... Oh well. It's the truth. Sorry if it's harsh. You're going to have to learn actual proportions, and not what your brain tells you, if you ever want to get anywhere in art. I'd suggest buying some books on anatomy, or taking some life drawing classes, if you're serious about this.
eharper256
Tough crowd... Lol, of course I'm not serious. I'm a writer, data analyst, and serial snarker, not an artist. Art is just fun for me; if it gets serious, its not fun any more. Hmm, perhaps I'm in the wrong place if everyone is expected to be professional here. I knew I'd get some bashing from good artists, but since I just seem to causing universal horror, I apologise, as I'm obviously doing something wrong. Note to Self: Creative is not for being Creative, or for fun with pictures, it's for serious business art critique only. Silly me. We apologise for the inconvienience and shall be withdrawing post-haste.

We apologise for the inconvienience and shall be withdrawing post-haste. I think you're being a bit defensive. The bashing you're describing sort of never happened and ignore Furet, he's always like that. I made one comment, and then suggested you learn anatomy, if you wished to improve. The Creative section doesn't require you to be a genius artist; most people here simply ask you to try, once someone has suggested something. If you're going to shrink away because three people didn't like your art, and one suggested to get some anatomy books/classes, then maybe you should stick to your writing. It's not a bad thing if you do, I was just hoping you'd at least give learning a chance.
