PuffPuff
Dat Rules (borrowed/stolen from Integrity) - Ratings are assumed to be on Normal. - Votes need some explanation regarding their gameplay performance to be counted. If somebody has already given good reason for a score +/- half a point from yours, you can decide not to explain your score, but I always encourage personal reasoning. Incredibly low scores or high scores without proper justification will not be counted. Don't put in some random text thinking it'd count as justification. Put in at least a little thought and give REAL reasoning. +/- ≤1 point extra regarding personality/appearance is encouraged, but no more. If you exercise your bias privileges, please do so explicitly. Also, if your vote is already a 10/10 or greater than 9 and you give a full point of bias, The score may not exceed 10! - Numerical votes out of 10, or something proportional to it. Make it easy to calculate for my sake. - Every ranking phase ends from 2100 to 2200 EST. Every ranking phase starts from 2200 EST to 2300 EST. Do the math if you are in another timezone! - I will insist you do not use the "Not X" reason on any character, where X is another unit. If you do, your vote will be thrown out. - "Recruits X" or "takes you to X chapter" arguments are explicitly banned. C'mon, people, this shouldn't need to be a rule. That's not gameplay performance. - Assume that the character in question is being recruited. - Similar to the "Recruits X" rule, do not use "He Comes with a Free Weapon" as an argument. - I withhold the privilege to tell you your rating is bogus and demand you revise it if it breaks any of the above. I will not throw out votes anonymously, you will be informed and given a chance to revise. Quirino
He has okay bases, but his growths are even by Gaiden standards bad. 20% on everything except HP, which is 40%. He will be one of your strongest characters during the remainder of chapter 1 -which is 1 battle-, but on chapter 3 he'll instantly fall behind due to his bases not being impressive at all anymore. During chapter 3, I was constantly trying hard to not get him killed, so he was nothing but a burden to me. And why bother with him while you also get Matilda, Zeke ánd Mysen on this team, who will all be much more useful. He comes with a steel lance which is nice, but that's about the only good thing this guy does, but he really doesn't excel in anything in a game which is unforgiving to those characters. 2.5/10: worse than Robin. At least Robin can be a decent archer. Edited June 21, 2012 by WindMage25
SRC
Augh, I really want to like this guy (awesome mug!), but he just comes off as worthless. His bases are okay enough, but his growths alone are far from enough to carry him. Gold knight will help him a little, but that's a long ways off with his meh killing ability and the class's bases still pale in comparison to Demon Fighters and Barons by a longshot. Oh, and he is stuck with 1 resistance, making him unable to take much damage from one of the few types of enemies he easily doubles and also is prone to be gained up on by witches. I love me some paladins, but Clerbe just has a slew of problems compared to Zeke and Matilda for basically no reason and unlike others can not take advantage of a class that can hide his mediocre stats. Overall, I give Clerbe a 4/10 (with bias). He is worthy filler for a few maps after he joins, but his long term prospects are unimpressive even as a Gold Knight. His awesome move is wasted on him. Mekkah
6/10, he has some minor use for a little while when he joins and that's more than a lot of other characters can say. After that he probably has to be benched in favor of others, so basically a low maintenance unit.
Mikado
Pretty worthless to be honest. If you want, You can level him one level and promote him ASAP, but I don't recommend that. Once Matilda joins your party, he's history. You can kill him off and resurrect him so Cellica's group can have a knight, but he'll still suck. 1.5/
