Gold Vanguard
Why is it that every time I buy a bag of chips it's always half air half the actual chips? I pay for the whole bag not half of it!
Icon of Sin
To keep them fresh, you need a special gas (IIRC it's nitrogen) because they lose their freshness when exposed to oxygen. Oxygen has a lot of decaying properties in fact.

Ike-Mike
You pay more for the bag than for whatever is in it.

I pay for the whole bag not half of it! It's done in order to reduce weight gain. If you go to Europe they have full chip bags because ppl there are too skinny. Hawk King
No, look at the bottom of the bag. you pay for the weight listed not the volume of the bag. Plus the air helps to cushion the chips to keep them all from breaking.

Helios
It's all a business man. They get you to buy two bags of chips that way
Rewjeo
Where do you live? Altitude is a big part of it. If something gets bagged at sea level and then shipped to 6,000 ft, the gas in the package will increase in volume.
