Question regarding the L command

So I'm trying to remake the Necromancer animation and I'm having problems with the loop.

I've read the topic about how to fix loops. But I still don't quite understand though. Basically, since it's an animation made from scratch, I don't need to use the C47 command right? If I want a loop I just put L on top of the frames I want to loop, correct?

So how would that go? Something like this?

L

L

Or do I put the L over a group of frames like so?

L

But in the case of the latter, how do I let FEditor know when to stop the loop?

edit: by the way, I'm importing this animation to FE8, if that matters.

the second way is right. You put the L over the group of frames.

and to stop the loop, you put command C01 which is the wait for hp depletion.

So it will loop those two frames over and over until the hp is depleted. Then It will move

onto the next frames

ex.

Why the hellll would you remake it?

Uh...because I wanted to add the shaman circle whenever he does that thing where he gathers power.

And thanks for the help. Although, it's just a waste. I just found out that the shaman circle is actually part of the frame. So I still have to edit some of the frames again. I just hope the colors will still be under 16...

Perhaps I'm wrong, but doesn't the loop only work for certain animation slots? (If you insert it over the old necro, you should be fine, but IDK)

not if you use the fix in the hacking resources topic.
