fluffymma
I'm having some trouble getting any Gecko codes for Radiant Dawn to work on my Dolphin emulator. It is Dolphin 3.0 and the codes I received were by clicking the "Download Codes (WiiRD Database)" option. None of them work, on either my PAL or my North American versions (yes, I have different codes for each) I also have cheats enabled. Any help is greatly appreciated. I don't know why, but they offset the addresses. If the microsoft excel calculator I have doesn't work for you, then you're pretty much SOL unless you port them yourself. This Calculator is the one I used to get this to work. Edited August 4, 2013 by shadowofchaos

I'm trying not to sound like a complete idiot, but I'm not that experienced at all working with any of this type of stuff, how am I supposed to use this to change the codes? shadowofchaos
Open it in Microsoft Excel. Copy the first code if it's a character code... like say for example... Micaiah's EXP value... Paste it on the left one. Your proper result should be on the very right.

Say I wanted to put in the control enemies code, or the end battle when hitting end turn code. Where would I put them?

You should take out the button activators. Dolphin doesn't support them. You should use savestates and then enable and disable codes after restarting dolphin and then using the savestates to get back where and when you want to activate the codes. shadowofchaos
So I enable, activate the code, savestate, disable, and then restart on the savestate? Also, how do I activate the codes without using buttons? Thanks again for your help. You don't activate the code via buttons. Because Dolphin doesn't support those codetypes. You take out the button activators on the code itself. Quick Game Over (push B+A on WiiRemote then end move) [g6flavor] 283D78DA 00000C00 <--- These lines 003CAFFC 00000002 E0000000 80008000 <--- Like this It ends up being: Quick Game Over (push B+A on WiiRemote then end move) [g6flavor] 003CAFFC 00000002 As soon as you move. It will be a game over. Same concept with other codes, such as the instant win or chapter warping codes. Basically, you savestate WITHOUT codes. Enable them, and then load the savestate to resume where you left off. You stop Dolphin emulation. Check on the Gecko codes tab (by right clicking the game on the Dolphin menu, clicking properties and enabling/disabling codes under the Gecko Codes tab) and make sure to enable it. Then start the game again, load the savestate. If you want to disable a code, for example, one that's not game over. Savestate with it on, close emulation, uncheck the code, start emulation again, and load the savestate.

Thanks, it still doesn't work for me. Does that mean I should use the other version? If so, could you do that one too? I hate to be so needy, but I can't myself. Thanks in advance. shadowofchaos
what is the program for you to get the shifting of the offset, thx. Uhh... If you mean the program to use it with... it's a Microsoft Excel sheet. Now as for figuring out the offsets to shift it by in the first place? The Microsoft Calculator.
