I don't feel like dragging out my post with superflorous text, so I'll ask straight up: Would the ending have been better with the MU completely dead, turning it into a bittersweet ending? I love the current ending, where the MU survives, but I would equally love an ending where the MU truly dies. The ending I truly would wish to have however, would stop at the part where every character is saying stuff like "I believe the MU is alive", leaving the door open for a sequel. Keeping the fans guessing for a while longer would have been much better. Edit: Changed "do" to "don't". Now it makes sense.
