PapaDragon
So I'm trying to figure out whether or not it is possible to get more than two sets of boots in a single save file. The first is picked up through the course of the game (I forget where), while the second is a renown bonus at 50,000 renown. According to the main site, boots are one of a handful of items that cannot be sold through streetpass. I'll be able to test this for myself once I manage to boost my renown for the second boots, but I doubt the result will contradict this site's info. Does anyone know if there are any other ways of acquiring boots? Can they possibly be found in any of the villages in the Heroes of Yore DLC's, or any other DLC's that haven't been released outside of japan yet? I doubt that the Spotpass teams would sell them, but I haven't been able to find a full list of items that can be bought from them yet, so that might be one way... but I doubt it. I realize that I'm grasping at straws with this question. It's just that this is the first (and possibly the only) thing that I've found in the game that can't be replaced or replenished if one is inclined to do so. Othin
Chest in Chapter 17 and Fame are indeed the only places to find them. Yeah, it's weird. It's worth noting: if you manage to max your saved Fame, you could start a new file, play through Ch3, get the Ultimate Emblem and Boots, sell the Ultimate Emblem to hire an MU or past-game character, use the Boots on them, and then save them back to the list to be available like that on other save files. This only works for guest characters, though, and each character can only use Boots once.
shadowofchaos
Nope. Another item that is similar is the "Naga's Tears" which you again, only get two of per playthrough via Morgan's paralogue and Renown. Though Naga's Tears is less useful considering you have access to Change Seals... but that's if you're grinding. It's plenty useful if you're playing for efficiency or just going through Lunatic Mode or something.
VincentASM
According to the wikis, there's only two: one in a Chapter 17 chest and one from getting 50K Renown. When I have time, I'll add this to the Hints page ^^ The Outrealm villagers give you any item except the ones excluded from the guest teams, so you're out of luck. PapaDragon
Bah, that makes me a sad panda :-( Still, thank you for answering my question so quickly! Also, props to Othin for that MU trick!
VincentASM
Lol, I got ninja'd by two of the craziest Awakening players X D But anyway, I kind of like how boots are limited in this game and can only be used once per character. It was fun having maxed movement characters in the GBA games, but it got boring quick.
smygba
hey guys, sorry for the bump on an old thread - but this has been driving me nuts and I'm hoping one you guys has the answer. I only ever completed Fire Emblem Awakening once. I am trying to work out if I actually had more than 2 boots or not. Anyways, I am re-visiting my first game and I used boots on Tharja in my first ever game and I still have the 2nd boot to come. Its the evidence I keep finding on the net - but then how did I get her to have 10 movement? / +2 on everything? shadowofchaos
You used the boots on her, and you haven't gotten renown yet. Unless you have boots in your inventory, I don't see the issue.
