Hubba also says that the Einherjar aren't really people, they're a projection of the person. A more sci-fi way of explaining it would be instead of downloading the mind of Person A into a robot, they programmed a robot to act similarly and believe that they were Person A.

Well the original name for the chapters are "Spirit Talismans", so yes... the localized dialogue is spot on to describing Einherjar as ghost/phantoms that are only an image of what the original characters are.

They don't have all their essence and they are bound to do what their masters command. So the "heroes" seeing them as brigands is the only plausible justification for those heroes to attack them.

This is probably the best explaination. One of Hubba's dialogues (I think it's in Roy's DLC) explains how there are two Marths, in that each is different having been painted and represented by a different artist, which impacts the "character" of the phantom.

You'd think these characters would be displayed in their prime, rather than what we know them as. Surely someone young like Roy would've gotten stronger as he got older...
