Weapon Triangle question

I'm looking at the calculations page over here:

http://www.serenesforest.net/fe13/calculation.html

Eg. if Chrom has a B rank in Swords and faces a Barbarian with an E rank in axes, Chrom will receive a Hit rate +10, Attack +1 bonus, while the Barbarian will receive a Hit rate -10, Attack -1 penalty.

If all the changes to hit rates/power come from Chrom's B swords, why list the fact that the Barbarian has E rank axes? Wouldn't the same occur if the Barbarian had A axes?

Listing unused data will help demonstrate the fact that such data is unused. Otherwise it may take a while to realize that it is unneeded, instead of being an error on the writer's side.
