Lag in edited effectiveness modifier?

I've repointed the effectiveness modifier for the rapier from 6615C6 to 1001F20, it works effectiveness and all, but whenever I cursor over the rapier there's a lag delay. Would this have to do with how far into the rom I've placed it?

EDIT: Nevermind, I wound up solving it myself, turns out the 00 on the end exists for a reason, silly Onmi
