Very odd issue with headphone jack

Put simply, it doesn't wanna work when I'm running Windows 7. It's not detected on my sound control panel, there are no issues with drivers, and the speakers work just fine.

This is what's stumping me, though. See, I thought that the above meant that my headphone jack simply failed; however, I can use my headphones/earbuds just fine when running Ubuntu (dual-boot).

Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
