King Marth 64
I have been wondering that Ced did have the same name from the Crusader in the Japanese version and is there like any real proof that Ced was named after the Crusader? I just saw this in the other Fire Emblem Wiki that had the Crusader named Ced (since they said it that they added an info about his decant, but I wasn't exactly too sure if that was entirely correct or not? CT075
the kana for holsety (or forseti if you're going to go by localisation) is フォルセティ, with the last three (セティ) being phonetic for "sety" ced's name is セティ, which is the same thing, and i'm pretty sure that was intentional. Personally I think that they shouldn't have renamed sety into ced because that implies that the tome is named "forced" (lol).
Chiki
Yes. The have the same name. Do you think Levin just came up with a random name and said "Sety sounds cool, let's go with Sety!" without knowing its history? No. Levin knew who Sety was, and he named Sety after him. CT075
i'm of the opinion (i don't have any proof aside from there being no reference to "crusader sety" aside from "crusader holsety" in fe4) that the guy's name [the crusader's] wasn't actually sety and they just retconned it in for fe5 because it's cooler that way

Greener223224
They changed the crusader's name to retardation, too, so yes. Also, I'm surprised this many people still stand by the old translations.
