Siegmund
I am trying to run FEditor Adv on my PC desktop because I am in the middle of making a hack. However, whenever I download it from romhacking.net, or any site, it opens a small black window and then closes the window instantly. I dont know how to use it and could use some help. Thanks! Forgive my incompetence.
shadowofchaos
That's probably the cmd window. Probably something with your "java is not recognized as an internal command" or something. Try reinstalling java or fixing those environmental variables.

shadowofchaos
If you're having that happen to you, you need to fix your java. Which I'm not going to go through.

Siegmund
I reinstalled Java with the latest update, but the window still closed right after it opened. Could it have something to do with the computer (Windows 8), or where we downloaded it (romhacking.net)?
CT075
check to make sure that you're not getting that message again, because your system variables could still be unset (i'm not gonna go into how to set them) also try java -jar or somehting

CT075
this has nothing to do with hacking go back to the window where you typed in "java" to see if you get another message saying it's unrecognized if you do then go google how to set your system variables
