1% critted
How has being anonymous affected how you behave on the internet? If at all. It can make anyone into the bravest person on earth, ya know.

Tables
My real identity isn't hard to find. I behave roughly the same way online as I do in real life - sometimes blunt, but generally try and be helpful.

Phoenix Wright
srs discussion exists so i argue/debate a lot more This is a consequence more of how I write and less of how I actually feel, but when I try to help people here it always sounds so matter-of-fact, which is never my true intention; I don't have all the answers. My "advice" should always be taken as suggestions. I don't like being close to people online so I also don't initiate serious conversation. I'm also a lot less goofy here. Only because I'm not able to be goofy on the Internet, as it requires body language and physical interaction too. But I still like to be funny, even if I'm the only one laughing. >:D

By the way, you can be perfectly goofy on the Interwebs as well, it just requires the proper use of smileys. 8]
Phoenix Wright
i hate emoticons that aren't to give you an idea, my buddy and i denoted god as the great fruit smith in a room of scientists debuting their 3D tablet called the Z-Space. there was also a 3D TV in the room, where there was an image similar to this one. naturally, my friend said those were gushers and that the big bang brought all of the known flavors of the universe, so i said "god is the great fruit smith." i rarely take anything seriously because people get so bent out of shape for no reason. it pretty much doesn't matter where. i'm almost always laid-back and calm. edit: that being said, the experience was nothing short of amazing, and the Z-Space is a tool very well-fit for future research. i can only imagine turning and rotating the horse-head nebula about its axes and studying it. it was extremely cool. Safyrya
It's not so much the anonimity, but I can make better discussions online with my friends since I can collect my thoughts before I type, where as you don't get to do the same while talking irl... Kitsuneko
I tend not to be as focused on being polite and civil online as I am in reality. It feels more liberating to be online for me as a result.
pinkbubblegum
I was glazing over the past threads and stumbled across this one o:I think I'm a lot more vocal and forward online than I ever would be offline. I'm really reserved and quiet around strangers because I always constantly fret over what I should say or how I should phrase something (so I don't offend people I guess), which ends up with me spending more time thinking about talking than actually talking haha.In forums I don't have that problem since I can take my time to organize my thoughts and edit what I've already posted, so I'm much more frank with people. Bluedoom
I actually fret about how I should word things online because reading tone into things is harder. That and I generally feel its easier to read someone as hostile online. ;_; Not a big difference otherwise. Guess I'm way more silly/serious IRL ( basically I tend to be more extreme IRL)
