deranger
When you're splicing hair, make sure you don't screw with the proportions of the head. The eyes should be in the middle of the head height wise. You've cut the forehead off some guys when splicing on hair that isn't suppose to cover the forehead. Keep at it. blyegg
Two insanely old maps. I'm not going to bother fixing the errors. Just thought I'd post here.
deranger
There don't seem to be too many. The pyramid screwing looks pretty cool.

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep that in mind! Another mug. Looks a tad odd, but I'm happy. The colors are final. I just want to know if any improvements can be made before I make the frames. EldinnerPlate
Just thought I would drop in to say everything looks good. Not much I can comment on besides the mixing colors on the guy with the blue mane.
deranger
Ear (which I assume came with hair) is not lined up properly with eyes. Following the eyeline should lead to the top of the ear's attatchement to the head (which makes glasses work). If you want to keep Sain's face you need to make sure you account for his face being a different angle.
blyegg
Gosh, I haven't mapped in so long, I've become incredibly rusty at it. This is going to be the prologue map for my hack. Honestly not sure how to fix it up..... Any suggestions? That grassy area is a garden BTW (and enemy reinforcements will come there later (including a thief)). Too much open space. Very symmetrical. Like, everything is either a square or exactly parallel of another object. Spread out the forest. Moar variety on the grass tiles. That's all I have to say. blyegg
Tile spam. Everywhere. Maybe change the flooring between 'floors?' Too much open space. I'm fine with that (it is a indoor map after all, but i see your point, ill try to fix it). Very symmetrical. Like, everything is either a square or exactly parallel of another object. I see no problem with this... I mean, outdoor, that would be horrible, but.. Spread out the forest. Done. Moar variety on the grass tiles. Tried. That's all I have to say. Arigatou. I tried. ... Maaaaannnnnnn, I suck now. I need to sprite more often. EDIT Maybe move the pillars around? I dunno. Also, just noticed an error in the down stairs in the bottom. I think. Another EDIT: I <3 slight edits. Edited November 27, 2013 by Kurix
deranger
I think pixel man was saying don't make your columns follow a pattern (though this is indoor as in man made). I'd check out prime's indoor mapping tutorial, it's in his sprite thread (in incompleted form last I checked).
blyegg
I've already viewed it, but I decide to look over it again... 1. 2. 1 or 2?Leaning towards 2; after the wall is broken, another crack appears right above it. Better? Edited November 27, 2013 by Kurix
blyegg
Aeron, the new Lord of my game. A Bow Lord too =D I know there are many problems...... This is just a temporary splice till I'm not too lazy to go spend more then 10 minutes/a splice. Still, might as well post it. And, disregard the question on the above post, the people over on IP Chat chose 2.

Chocolate Kitty
walls typically have shaded tiles at the bottom since the sun in FE maps is from the top lefthand corner
blyegg
Oops, totally didn't forget some of the shading.. I think I got it... I think
deranger
Center area doesn't seem to be one higher or one lower despite stairs all around it. You have to adjust the walls around it according to its height (you have height errors).
Agro
The pillar near the southern staircase needs to cast a shadow on to the tile to the right. Also, the shaded tile in the corner of the east section is the incorrect shaded tile. Edited November 30, 2013 by Agro

deranger
Nicely done. (Usually it takes first timers a few tries to fix height errors. Or they just don't.)

blyegg
So, I revisited and redid a map that I tried forever ago and could not finish/do. I NEED TO MAP MORE OFTEN I hate you, outdoor maps. At least I don't have any mountains in this place... Please help, I'm dying right now, not being able to make a damn map Note: It's supposed to be simple. But mine is just lame... Maybe add some grass in the middle? Edited December 7, 2013 by Kurix
deranger
Grass, or whatever. I'd throw a few things in there, and then work around that to smooth them out and make it look natural. What is this? A courtyard?
blyegg
Wow, people really love courtyards I changed the size a tad, and I'm about to add some forests/thickets... I'll update when it's done. btw, its supposed to be a sort of Training Grounds for new recruits for the prologue of a different hack (@_@), that resembles a courtyard, yes
blyegg
Instead, I decided to add a observation place thingy... Does that make up for it? Should I block off that one area right below the observation place? If so, how? Also, I know its supposed to be simple, but it doesn't feel right in the top right... should I/what do I add there?
