We're supposed to get half a foot of snow and the weather says this storm might very well be a new record in NC. It's really bad outside right now. My stepdad cleaned off the top of our outdoor canopy not an hour ago and the snow already piled back up on it. Anyone else in the state, prepare yourself for possible power outages. I live up in VA and we are completely covered in huge blankets of snow, everyone was urged to get home by around 2:00 pm on the news yesterday and now its snowing AGAIN. Unlike Canada, the south doesn't normally get weather like this, so we're not used to it. So they don't NEED to have all those winter vehicles lying around. They'd just almost never be used. It's just like how New Jersey and New York were bombarded by Hurricane Sandy last year, though that was still a worse disaster. Up there, they very rarely even get category 1 hurricanes, much less category 4 storms like Sandy.
