I won't pretend that I know anything about computer security or stuff like that, but it looks very serious, and I just think that the word should be spread. buttmuncher.ops Posted April 9, 2014 Share Posted April 9, 2014 yeah, you should be careful with logging into sites like yahoo / okcupid lol? because apparently passwords can be keylogged. i haven't read too much into it, but i think the main issue is with less than secure online banking. if you are concerned that a specific website might be vulnerable you can use the LastPass website to check it out beforehand: https://lastpass.com/heartbleed/ on a conspiracy side note, i find it funny that a major flaw like this is "discovered" around the same time Windows XP officially loses Microsoft support. according to the researchers, the bug has possibly been affecting systems for over two years. i'm well aware they're unrelated on a basic level from an OS vs Data Encryption standpoint, but i just think it's an interesting memo to the world to upgrade their systems / check for security flaws anyway.
