Phoenix Wright
it's pretty damn good. i'm excited for the new album. a little bummed he won't have many guests because he "has a lot to say," though.

peener weener
By the way, if you haven't heard, Flylo's new album is dropping soon. It's already leaked in fact. Here's a single featuring kendrick off it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4Oz8UmUXbg the video for it is dropping later today
Dijon Mustard
Yup, here's the video. I generally don't care about music videos very much, but this one was nice. Plus the song is really good (even though songs like Look Out For Detox and Backseat Freestyle are what got me into Kendrick originally, nowadays I think I prefer his relatively chiller songs like this one). Topazd
So, I don't know if there are any fans of jazz fusion around here, but I've recently come to really love this album. Some big names were even involved with the project. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgMbGWfLS1c Edited October 3, 2014 by Topazd255

Dijon Mustard
I found myself listening to Steven Wilson music a lot lately, so I'll just post something: The Raven That Refused to Sing (And Other Stories) is my favorite album he's made, although my tastes in music tend to skew recent. I'm not sure what I like the most from it, so here's the title track: [spoiler=Steven Wilson]
Black Dynamite
Anyone here ever head of Shpongle? They're awesome. My old roommate showed me them and I've become a huge fan. Super trippy yet rhythmic at the same time.

Super trippy yet rhythmic at the same time. Psychedelic music is usually a "not with a 10-foot pole" thing for me, but I do like Nothing Is Something Worth Doing. It's pretty. Dijon Mustard
That new Flylo album is very good. Let's see, i've been really enjoying this Death Grips LP for the past couple of months, I love it. I'm forever bitter that they broke up. Gotta love Takyon. Hacker is probably my favorite song of theirs - went back and listened to it the other day, actually. In other news, Run the Jewels has been busy. They even managed to resurrect Zack de la Rocha of all people to record a song (and he's really good in it! I think I'd rather have Zack show up for these sorts of random verses here and there than have another RATM album at this point tbh). peener weener
my music listening habits have been shifting a little lately. i'm tending towards singer-songwriters a lot. i've also been listening to loose songs lately as opposed to albums. right now, i'd say i probably listen to sufjan stevens, st. vincent, joanna newsom, and frank ocean the most what i'm saying is basically throw similar people at me edit: speaking of flylo, never catch has been in very heavy rotation for me. i god damn fucking love everything about this song Edited October 16, 2014 by fuccboi

Disinnocence
haven't posted here in a while... but, no one noticed, right?...Anyway, my interests have lately been shifting to more ambient/drone/post(er?)rock. Not sure why this video doesn't include "Movie (Never Made)" on it, considering it's the last part.Still, "Broken Chords Can Sing A Little" is my favorite. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLH-6MTSHV4Probably the only ambient/drone band I've listened to other than Bass Communion, it's still the best. Also, I've been exploring more "heavy" metal. I've only started listening to this album because I really liked the cover I saw at the record store. I also listened a bit to Jane Doe, and, well, it'll take a bit getting used to, considering the vocals. Not that they're bad, it's just they're... not what I usually listen to.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGH034Ur0KkI saw that O'Brother was listening to them, so I figured I should too. The only one that's still growing on me is The Watchmaker. I don't know why I'm not a huge fan of it.Anyway, have some Storm Corrosion. Siuloir
https://soundcloud.com/officialinsideoutmusic/pain-of-salvation-linoleum-album-track/s-zoPbd Progressive rock/metal, and one of the most talented bands you'll probably find amongst that number (or any number, really, they're that good) - Acoustic version of an old single. awww yiss mutha fuckin steven wilsonWhile Porcupine Tree will probably always be my favorite Steven Wilson project (even though I love all of his projects), I've really enjoyed the jazziness of The Raven (listening to it right now, actually).Luminol or The Holy Drinker would have to be my favorites, but then again, I really like Drive Home and the title track. I fell in love with it on my 2nd listen, but I'm accustomed to that sort of screamy stuff. I don't know that there's a place to start with Converge that makes the transition easiest, but AWLWLB is probably it. Their frontman does all the album covers, btw. I've only heard a couple Old Man Gloom songs, but I know the band members' other projects very well. If you're not familiar with Isis, check out Oceanic; it's an ideal post-metal album. As for Cave In, listen to Jupiter (It's like a spacey post-rock/hardcore sort of thing? I love it). what i'm saying is basically throw similar people at me [spoiler=Hmm, maybe some of these will stick]Julia Holter (Basically everyone likes Loud City Song) Bilal (R&B singer-songwriter. Flylo made one of his music videos, coincidentally) Fiona Apple (She's still around!) Perfume Genius (He's got a brand new album folks are raving about. Dijon Mustard
Fiona Apple was famous for the song Criminal back in the late 90's (It was one of my favorite songs when I was little. She was 18 when she made it iirc). I also recommend the song Paper Bag and anything from the Idler Wheel album, although you can't really go wrong with her.
