Read all about GMR: http://multiplayerrobot.com/About/FAQ

It’s basically a pitboss/hotseat mode, meaning we each take turns one after another, but doesn’t rely on setting up your own server or mailing around files. Managing games and save files is automated. Also other features like vacation mode, etc.

I recommend you adjust the settings after installation wrt to directx, notifications, etc.

Certainly, this will be very slow paced, but the time investment is fairly small when your turn does come up. GMR will allow the AI to take your turn if you miss it.

Tentative rules (comments are welcome):

1. This draft is for however many players join + equal number of AIs, the more the merrier.

2. Human players may not attack each other but may attack the AI or bribe the AI to attack other humans. (subject to change)

3. The game goes until someone achieves a Science, Cultural, Diplomatic, or Time victory. Domination is enabled for AI purposes, but Rule 2 essentially prevents human players from achieving it.

4. Start in Ancient era. When signing up, indicate preferred difficulty, map type, and game speed, and resource allocation. You may also n/a these options. Results without consensus will tend toward lower difficulty + standard or random settings. Map size will depend on number of players.

5. Entrants are randomized. Then pick AI civs 1->N, then pick civs N->1. May add more bans if people want.

6. Have fun!

Rule 2 is in place because players are at different experience levels and it’ll be less pleasant if someone warmongers otherwise. But it can be repealed if you really want us to kill each other. >_>

Please indicate your username and what DLCs you have (so everyone enter the game properly). Also what difficulty level (highest level you’re comfortable at, keep in mind other humans can help you with army + Research Agreements, etc), map type and game speed, resource allocation, if any, is preferred.

DLC: All except scrambled map pack

Difficulty: Deity

Map type: Pangaea

Game Speed: Standard

Resources: Strategic balance

Don’t really care about difficulty but I’ll go as high as possible. Pangaea because there’s more player interaction early on but stuff like continents, fractal and terra might be interesting. Standard speed for balance, but quick (or even epic) is fine. Strategic balance because this’ll be a long game, and not having Horses/Iron for your UU is boring (strategic balance guarantees horses and iron in your start).
