Kao
So. Chapter 6. I hated this chapter. I always have. Dunno why. Fun fact, I actually had to restart this entire chapter because I messed up somewhere. I'll just ignore that and just go to the successful run. I might show the level ups at the end. Well, if I remember which levels were from the failed run. Story things. And then preparation screen. Oh yeah. Stat boosters. I guess you could tell me who you want me to use them on. I'll probably end up not using them if you don't suggest possible owners of them. Anyways, these were my preparation things after I failed the first time, sold a Red Gem from the Garcia chapter, bought 1/2 Torches, 4 vulneraries, and some heals. Vanessa stocked her Recover and took the Torch, and these are the units I took this time. This was the failed run. Start of the chapter, it's fairly easy. Vanessa torches. ...I wish I could unsee that. Garcia-phraim torches. Nothing happens. Move some units, equip armorslaying weapons, Josh gets the pointless Antitoxin. Enemy phase, Garcia levels up. When was this? Josh gets the antitoxin. Garcia does a thing. Good thing Josh is out of range. Iunno why I equipped the lance. Also random soldier appeared out of nowhere. Said soldier is attacked by Colm. Gotta feed Neimi some kills. Just for the exp. Lute level! The point is moot. Colm and Lute switch. Probably could've put this where Colm's thing was. Moulder does a thing. Could've been bad. I miss that last level. Looks like I need to keep feeding you. Also Erina level. I don't remember which one it was. Whatever it was, going to get her out of there. Josh does...something. Yay risk. And then 0 damage things. Random white screenshot. If you turn out badly, at least I can make you a dodge tank. 'bout time the enemy gets their taste of missing. ...oh. Why'd I attack with a lance? Lute is eh. Garcia does well. Kid. Work with me here. You gotta get stronger. As in STR. Or at least be more like Moulder. He hits pretty well. Josh does more things. Shaman fight. This is going to take a while. Facial hair levels. Moulder got Luk. Meeeeeh. It's something at least. Best idea. ...oh. ......oh. Just going to get rid of this guy. Josh does things. Natasha does things too. (Commentary running a little bland?) Normally I'd complain about this, but. Every little bit counts. Good bye Silver Lance. (I think that's the first weapon casualty?) Even the little girl is crying ...oh wait. That's just the timer. Gotta kill the spider Bael. Is it Bae - l? Or Ball? How do you pronounce it? Part 2 coming right up. Edited October 17, 2014 by Kao
Kao
Part 2. Josh does thing. Soften him up with Colm, Nothing could possibly go wrong. (forshadowing?) Whoops. Impress me kid. ...you impressed me alright. You at least killed him. I guess. And you didn't screw this one up. That'll do Franz. That'll do. : *witless comment to make Erina seem like a naive young girl who doesn't understand the ways of the world* Woo. Promotion item. I think I made all promo items work like Master Seals? Iunno. Next Time: What's this? A series of quotes for all the alive and recruited characters we have? This must mean... THE END IS NIGH. Well this was a fun series. Next chapter is the second to last chapter. And then we finish the game. See ya then. Well, you know that was a lie. But what about those people that didn't? Kao
Whee. Laziness. Honestly, I wish I could lose chapter titles more often so I can remake them in paint. Chapter start, Erina's sure her kin is in the castle, And goodies to walk away from this chapter with. That ring won't be too hard to get. Gilliam does things of UTMOST IMPORTANCE, And then Lute gets in position to make a move. Escaping Gillam won't help you. But it'll help your friends. *things happen* Lute's in position to steal the Ring from the mage. Vanessa disappoints. Uh. ... Gilliam still is cursed by the soldier. ...really Vanessa? Trying to avoid MAG are you? oh no 12 hit so skurry This time, I got to steal. ...meh. You got the ring at least. And then rescue/heal the thief. HAH. HOW DO YOU LIKE THE RNG NOW. Also, I think Neimi really needs some work. Just. Uh. Wait there. At least you're doing something better than Vanessa. Honestly, I think you're doing okay. Yay RNG. Uh. Next part? Kao
Part the next. ... Yeah...I'm going to need to give her stat boosters. Did I show this yet? I think I did. Things happen. Almost broken, already has a couple cracks in it, glass cannon. Glad to see some people aren't cracking under pressure. Might as well feed her more kills. Maybe she'll become better. Got it. It's STR at least. Glad to see someone's getting STR. Just comparing Erina to Josh. Houses. Why not? Just. Fabulous. /sarcasm Josh is getting attacked a lot. Even by ballista guy. Feeding kills...again. ...Garcia, we need to talk. More STR would be appreciated. And Joshua hates the RNG. The soldier fears Garcia. That mage doesn't though. Woo. Ballista guy. Good job kid. Lucky 9s. What? It's 7 that's lucky? I don't see a 7 here. Getting a new Heal staff. The old one's worn out. RNG, you and I might be good friends again. Why do I bother with Vanessa? Stealing this, And then rescue chains. Oh yeah. I forgot this was a thing. Chip at Murray. ...Garcia, we really need to get around to that talk. Yay mid match weapon switch. Joshua MVP. ...well, maybe. Healer grinds later, No. NEXT TIME: \ What? Nobody with that name here. There's an Erina though. Kao
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack~ (okay, probably not.) Well that escalated quickly. Not even our pirates can walk on this water. You're screwed Seth. And look who gets a statbooster. It doesn't help. Starting off, Garcia kills a guy. *lost data: Lute died, restart. Turn one ends.* Look who it is. And they're here too. We don't even need that sappy little band of-- oh wait. They have pirates. Meh. Could be worse. I mean, it's decent. Haven't done this in a while. 3-stat levels ups must be common nowadays. Oh? Forde got another level up? How peculiar. ... Every wants Forde. He waaaaaaas voted Mavgul's "sexiest Brigand alive" after all. Forde's not doing all the work though. Lue opens a door. Garcia facetanks. Cav reinforments spawn with lances and a sword. Hopefully Josh won't disappoint. Defending Lute doesn't give you an excuse to not level your other stats. Lute: Best thief ever. Josh suffers quite a beating holding that chokepoint. Tearful reunions are to be had this day. Mooching off of Josh's work really pays off. More knight shenanigans. ...oops. Sparkles! Oh. It's just a levelup. When was this? I think this is from when Josh died? Speaking of, He(she?)'s doing fine. The pirates have to be on reserve, but it works. HAH! Take that RNG. ...ow. Erina: bes mercinry 12/10 Better than Erina. Yay for wasting statboosters. Kyle as a myrm is just. Wow. This'll hit, right? Nope. You did something. Good for you. You gained STR. Good for you. Now let's work on that speed... And then I realized I forgot to give Lute lockpicks. I'll get on that right now. RNG hates me. A lot. With the cavs dealt with, Josh/Ephraim go and catch up. I mean, look how far behind they are. Best myrmidon BTW. Just going to heal before things go terribly wrong, and they will. Who says axe users are useless? They can facetank at least. Kyle on the other hand... Colm too. That's what happens when you forget to heal. And now Kyle is useless. Still waiting for that lockpick. Of course he gets everything except two important stats. Wait. THIEF. LOCKPICKS. WANT. She actually has enough speed. Huh. Smash that wall. RNG hates me greatly. Finally gets MAG. ...crap. I lost the rest. Oh well. You can make up the rest of the story. Accompany Innes to Jehanna. : Still betting 10k gold that Jehanna Hall will fall.
Kao
The answer's pretty obvious. I mean, with choice like these, you always pick the best one. We're going with . I'm sure you already knows what happens when you pick a story, the units all go to Eirika/Ephraim, and then they both leave. Innes just goes off on his own. Screenshots, story, yeah. Oh boy, this is going to be good. We get a new unit in this chapter too! Oh? Looket that. A typo. Shouldn't that say "Innes"? Eh. W/e. This is Olaf. He is a unit. That does things...yeah. Oh Olaf! This is why you're one of my favorite FE characters. Innes has some great dialouge. Also, it's an IntSystem game. The enemy always does rash things. So anyway, Innes is a sniper. For this particular chapter, he isn't actually deployed. He's just the tactician. So all the units you get? They're nameless, faceless soldiers who will happily die for you. *Paladins. Jeezus. I think my ROM broke. Oh? Who's this? *Grado army Seriously. What's with this glitch? At least Adder's still the same. You know, I'm probably not even going to bother to correct them anymore. I'll just leave the text be. Story condensed into a spoiler for your pleasure. And here's Adder. Pretty solid stats. Looks like a tough nut to crack. We have balistas, he has Paladins. Hoo boy. Despite their armor, we do a nice amount of damage. 100% hit with these units too. Thieves, Archers, and Soldiers too. They'll each play their part in this chapter. I think that's a good way to end this turn. On Bases, and the soldiers on peaks. Nothing THAT bad can happen amirite? ...oh. Great. Tutorials in chapter 9. I got this far. Just lemme play the game. *skip* Innes seems happy about the fact we can get back to killing things. Whee one-sided combat. I'd say this formation looks pretty nice. Watch it all fall apart next turn. Ow. Looks like his soldiers carry stronger weapons. Didn't expect that. Time for some revenge. *Ends turn* Oh god. Special ability activates. All his units get +MOV. Not THAT threatening. I take that back. My turn to use my ability. Ballista/Archers get +2 range and more attack. Awwww yeaaah. Beautiful work. Also, if you're curious, they're all level 20, so no exp. Oh. Whoops. Part 2, coming up. Edited November 6, 2014 by Kao
Kao
Part the second. I'll just...uh... Yeah. Soldier can finally launch a siege weapon. BOOM! And with that, my turn ends. And all he did this turn was move. Dasit. Start chipping the Paladins. Or finishing them. THat also works. *I think he still wastes this turn moving too.* More siege weapons. Yeah! Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll crit. Thieves > Paladins. Weapons about to break. Oh well. Ooooh nooooo. He ued his ability. /sarcasm Ow. *2 Paladins* *counter says 1* Not anymore there ain't. Now there's none. Then I take the time to completely rout his forces. Yes. With Archers, Soldiers, and Thieves. everybody. Tactical person. Yeah. That's right. Well that was fun. Shame it's not canon. I'll actually move on with the story next time. THis was a fun side trip. Whose story do you want me to do? Probably already going to do the one I originally intedned to do though... Edited November 6, 2014 by Kao
Kao
Ugh. Chapter 9 is painful. Uuuuuugggghhh. So many images. Until then, have a Gaiden update to hold you over. Random map screen. AKA your main source of exp. Condensed into a spoiler for your convenience. And with that, let's grind. Pretty basic, kill a promoted monster, deal with the foot soldiers. Floor 1 has ~level 10- monsters. Usually there are Revanants and Bonewalkers with all sorts of weapons and droppable goodies. Might as well grind my quicker units, since Revenants are too slow. *Sonic joke here* Colm needs a sword *cough cough* so he goes to the armory to get one. So...yeah. I set up my formation, and then end. ... Well, it's something. STR could've been an option. Then again, was a thief though... *more innuendo* And everything's going swell until *BAM* It hits me. I didn't carefully look though the map. And it comes back to bite me in the arse. New formation, Lute gains a level, I lose the screenshot, And more innuendo weapon levels. And then a very slightly worse showing of skill from Colm. On my turn, I realize just how useless my team can be. I weaken it though. Not like it helps ease the pain. Lute's attacked, Colm's attacked, And guess who dies? Then I realized I could've killed it with the armorslayer. Too much MAG. Waaaay too much MAG. Whoop. Armorslayer's almost dead. what if I... ...never mind. I'll just have Lute on standby. Natasha runs away. Colm tries to redeem himself. More okay Levels. Save the gold. Beat the princess. Earn the bad guy. *slow clap* I'll let Colm deal with the revenant. Or Natasha. Whatever works. Even with a Slim Sword. Lute is just going to be the strongest Thief. Way to end on a high note. NEXT TIME: Will we go with ? NO. Yep. I approve of this ship.
