I'm new to this whole rom hacking thing I will admit.

I'm working on a Fire Emblem Eight mod that will hopefully be quite enjoyible for all.

Right now I main need help with finding tutorals on inserting new battle animations as I intend to incudle many diferent classes.

If you happen to also know the tools I will be needing I would appreciate the help.

do you mean ripping and importing animations from other games or making your own?

eiter way check out the Ultimate Tutorial, Chapter 57 & 58

Kind of both, I downloaded a bunch of animations from the hackers resource but I don't know how to insert them into the game, some of their scripts other don't. I noticed these frame data.dmps but none of the files have any explanation of what to do with them and they were never mentioned in the tutorial.

Thank you, it did. The hex editor way of doing it doesn't seem to work for me but I did get it to with Nightmare so I'll just have to hope I don't need more spaces.

Edit: I'm also looking to add the king animation from FE6 into FE8, I'm not sure how to go about doing that. If you've got the time to help I'd appreciate it.

The king glitches if directly imported, there should be a fixed package in the thread

Believe it or not I couldn't find one, even used the search for the thread and all the forums, I'll ask around a bit, if I can't find one I'll just skip it for now. Still thanks.
