Dragoncat
The title makes no sense. It's wheeling corby, and I had no idea what corby meant, so I looked it up and the only definition was a town in England. Can anyone shed some light on this mystery? Acacia Sgt
Well, ravens are in the Corvus genus. That's probably why.
Dragoncat
So it's a play on the word corvus then? Still, could be better.
CT075
corvidae is the name of the extended family that includes ravens "corby" is a bastardization of that
Lord Raven
Also Corby is a French name according to Google that means young crow Also wheeling is a form of torture Edited February 8, 2015 by Lord Raven
Dragoncat
I thought wheeling meant the circular flight pattern he does in the battle scenes. Idk...
Lord Raven
I dunno, I just googled wheeling but that could also make sense.
Plegian Dark Mage
Maybe it's a translation error. I mean, you probably know this, but in Japanese words with "v" are pronounced with "b". For example, my name is Kevin, but they used to call me "Kebin". So, I guess "corby" was originally "corvy", because of "corvidae", as you guys said. There are a lot of that kind of mistakes in the series, so it's possible. Mekkah
I always thought the wheeling was a vague reference to Naesala's tendency to turn around and backstab his allies. edit: must've been late Edited March 5, 2015 by Mekkah
Jedi
I always thought the wheeling was a vague reference to Naesala's tendency to turn around and backstab his alleys. Does Kilvas even have alleyways? But yeah I think its a combination of what Cam and Lord Raven explained.
