It's not particularly difficult for veterans but a misstep can still kill you unless you lowman it to hell and overpower using raw stats. If you want some extra challenge without going into Lunatic territory first (which is a mode I'm also very fond of, but I wouldn't recommend unless you know FE gameplay very well so that's for you to gauge if you're ready for), you could do Hard Mode no pairup full deploy. In the absence of Maniac mode it's a decent substitute for an inbetween difficulty between playing Hard normally and Lunatic. One thing I really like about FE:A is the amount of different types of runs you can do, so if you're into challenge runs or theme runs, it's a great game for that.
