mercilesscharizard
I'm trying to connect my Wii to my Hauppauge so I can record. Only problem is it keeps wanting to go grayscale. I have all of the component cables plugged in the right spots and the HDMI is plugged into my TV. Everything's connected right, so why is it going straight to grayscale? Is your TV grayscaled or the recording program when plugged in? Check the brightness, contrast settings on the system you may have accidentally set it to grayscale or something in there. I tried switching some things around to see how it would work. Oddly enough, with my Wii's normal composite cables, it shows up fine, but when it's plugged into with the component cables into the TV or the device, it shows up gray for some reason. If it's the Hauppauge itself, I don't know where I'd have to look to fix it. I don't remember having this issue with the PS3. EDIT:: Color shows up just fine with ym PS3, so I don't know why my Wii is getting high on...whatever game systems are on. Zera
Maybe it's the cable itself?
