Current version is 1.41, covering 4 major areas, this fanmade remake feels identical to a Metroid game and the added stuff is amazing, the gameplay, secrets, everything feels like a proper "Zero Missioning" of Metroid 2.

I highly advise you check it out. It has some shoutouts to Prime and stuff too in certain aspects.

I've never not been impressed with this project. I've yet to play it myself though, as I'm waiting for the finished product. Hopefully I don't end up waiting forever, a new, really good Metroid isn't something I want to die.

I've only played a bit of it, but from what I played it was very good. Honestly, Zero Mission is probably my favorite Metroid game, so to see a remake of the only classic Metroid I haven't played in the style of Zero Mission is just awesome I especially love the music and the improved AI. I also found the colors to have a certain, feel to it I really liked. I forget, does it have controller support?

Fuck yeah, this game. I've been following it for a year, and I can't wait for the full version. There's also going to a whole new area that wasn't in the original Metroid 2. Though the game's development is slow (but steady). I haven't played Metroid 2 so I'm waiting for this one to be finished.
