Win spear is my favorite, because it covers Caeda's low strength.

Rapiers and manni katti are meh against knights because of the weapon disadvantage. They don't have a weapon advantage against any first tier units, they're effective.

Ike is so good that he doesn't even need the regal sword. He gets an armorslayer in chapter 7 anyway.

Thani is pretty much an oneshot to the armored and mounted bosses in part 1 thanks increasing the weapon effectiveness to x3. But it loses worth in part 3 and becomes only really useful in 4-P and E-1 again.

Reginleif is pretty good overall.

Wolf beil is good against knights and lance cavaliers.

Which would actually matter if the armorslayer didn't stink in FE9 - Having to put up with its 17 weight, and thus losing a lot of AS on top of WTD??? No thank you.

Anyways... Thani and Noble Rapier for me. The former makes armors and horses quake with fear from range, and I always liked the concept of getting a stronger Rapier.

A normal Ike has enough strength and speed to double the armors. The reduced evasion is the only thing, which matters (only till the point he can support).

And the reduced evade is kinda a big deal for me since he's already got WTD to begin with, so why would I want to encumber him with a stupidly heavy weapon??

It's not like Ike taking a lance or two to the face is big deal though.

Maybe, maybe not. But an Armorslayer isn't something I'd want to be caught dead to rights with on the enemy phase, at least in the earlygame... Especially when compared to the Regal Sword, you're not getting any notable advantage.
