secondworld
So this completely flew beneath my radar until tonight. Basically there's a more traditional 2D DBZ fighting game... Developed by Arc System Works... ...For the 3DS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoXw3-x1lm4 I played the demo and I was having fun, but then I found out that the game is apparently rather lackluster. Like how it lacks an online mode. It's a fighting game in 2015 that doesn't have an online mode, and was released on the 3DS. Despite my fun with the demo, what little I had played already started to take a toll on my hands. This is all a bit... odd for me. I found out this game existed and was out already, played the demo and had fun though I was still confused as to why this was a 3DS game, looked up what kind of reception the game got, and saw said reception and what seems to be very valid complaints, all in under an hour. This has been the most sudden roller coaster of hype, confusion, and disappointment. Everything about this screams to me that the 3DS was not the system this should have been released on. To end things on a more positive note, the sprite work is pretty great.
The Geek
What surprises me personally is that they didn't seem to have gotten the English voice cast, which is strange seeing as even SuperSonic Warriors on GBA had voice overs from the Funimation cast. Radiant head
Oh yeah I saw this on the eshop. I'm not a huge fan of non-Smash fighting games, but will give the demo a shot.
Jedi
I've been waiting for another 2-D DBZ fighting game since the Budokai series and Burst Limit were really fun and could actually be compeitive, but the fact that this is portable kills it for me It doesn't even look like its as fun as Supersonic Warriors. Rapier
It doesn't even look like its as fun as Supersonic Warriors. I thought I was the only one who loved Supersonic Warriors (well, the first title at least). The gameplay and alternative stories were interesting. It looks like that SNES/Genesis game but with better sprites and more characters. Ehh, sure why not. I'll play the demo when I can.
