Omega's_End
I am trying to prove to someone that having Vengeance and the Vengeance Axe doesn't do anything besides waste a skill/weapon slot. Is this correct?
Elieson
Yes. Activation rates don't change if you have the skill twice

Melissa
I guess applies to all the other weaponized skills
eclipse
Yep. A weapon with a skill (say, Vengeance Axe), will make it AS IF you had the skill. It's great if you want to have a "sixth" combat skill, but the weapon's stats themselves aren't very impressive.
Czar_Yoshi
I guess applies to all the other weaponized skills It does, yes (including Leif's Blade). Think of it as the game reaching a battle and needing to do battle calculations. Somewhere in there, it'll ask the unit "do you have Vengeance?" and the unit'll check their equipped skills, and if they have it, they'll say yes, and if they don't, they'll check their weapon, and if their weapon has it they'll say yes, and if not they'll say no. The game merely asks whether or not they have it, not how many copies of it they have.
