Plot

You are a noble who has been notiffied by the king that a mysterious guild has risen and are terroryzing the kingdom of Gohln. You are to team up with the Lords of the Golhn nobles to take down the gang of mercenaries. But you will soon discover that there is more to them that meets the eye. What at first seemed to be an effort to stop a rebellion, becomes a race to stop the threat of eternal war.

How does this work?

Each player may have up to 3 characters. One being a Lord, your main character, and the other two being your retainers, all three having a similar character profiles (though with your retainers, you will have to explain how they ended up serving your lord.) When all the spots are taken up, I will assign NPC units to each Lord for you to command.

There will be three types of chapters. A normal chapter will focus on development of the characters and story. A war chapter will be similar to the FE games, where you would be commanding units to fight through enemy forces. The third kind is a "duel" chapter, which features a battle with a small amount of characters (usually the lords only).

The Rules

  • While not nessisarily a requirment, it is reccomended that you have some basic knoweldge of the Fire Emblem series before joining (Knowing the FE reps in Smash Bros does not count as basic knowledge. :p)
  • Try to be realistic with your characters (well as realistic as a high fantasy world could get).
  • The Magic here is basically in a high level on the scale between reality and fantasy. The Magic system is based on the ones in the GBA titles ( The Binding Blade, The Burning Blade, and The Sacred Stones). See "How Magic Works" for more information.
  • Each player has a limit of 3 RPC characters, unless they have a very good reason for excedding the limit like for story lines, which in that case, must send a note to me the GM.
  • Major additions to the story lore such as new races, magic, and completey new storylines must be disscussed with me through the PMs.
  • You are welcomed to create personal storylines for your characters, but if they are going to majorly influence the storyline, check with me through the PMs
  • Killing RPCs is not allowed without the owner's permission. You can go open season on NPCs however, but just be realistic and don't make a god out of your abilities.
  • The Weapons Triangle (not the one in Fates) will take affect, which means that sword classes will have advantage over axe classes, and they will trumph spear classes, and they'll beat sword classes, while bows and daggers will have no effect. The trinity of magic will also be used (Light> Dark> Anima> Light).

Classes

One of my favorite parts about Fire Emblem, are the Classes. We all know what these are. They tell you what the character's abillities and occupations are. Most of the Classes here are influenced by the Sacred Stones in Gohln and Dornar. Promotions can happen almost at anytime, except right in the middle of a direct fight. Just try to make the time and place you promote reasonable. You are more than welcomed to start as a pre-premote if you like If your character is a lord, but retainers cannot be pre premotes.

Most of these were copied and pasted from another rp I am apart of, not trying to advertise though so I won't mention it by name.

Basic Classes:

The basic starting classes for most members. These classes have had some decent training and can hold off enemies by themselves in battle. It is still advised to move in groups, unless already well versed in combat.

Myrmidon

Probably one of the fastest melee units around, Myrmidons use their speed and skill to outrun their enemies and attack faster than others can block.

Thief

Thieves and Ninia make use of their stealth and speed to catch their enemies off guard. Theives and Ninjas can use their lockpicks to open even the most well locked doors. Dagger/Sword user. Thieves are much more adept at finding treasure then other classes are.

Mercenary:

Provided with a small shield, Mercenaries have a good balance of offense and defense, coupled with some decent speed. Though the shield is not very good at blocking, it can be used to avoid a few arrows. Sword user.

Fighter:

Strong and always ready for a fight, Fighters make use of raw strength to overcome their enemies. Axe user.

Brigand:

Not much of a thinker, the Brigand carries it's axe with pride, instilling fear in it's opponents. Axe user.

Pirate:

A man(or woman) of the sea, the Pirate would rather fight on top of a ship than on land. They are also known to be good swimmers, so they are the first to reach safety in case of a shipwreck. Axe user.

Archer:

Having refined their aim over the years, Archers fare better off in the back ranks of an assault than in the front lines, providing the needed backup to decimate the enemy. Bow user.

Nomad:

As if aiming was hard enough, Nomads like to do it while on top of a horse. As if that weren't impressive enough, they actually have a good record of hits versus misses, so watch out for the arrows. Bow user.

Knight:

Clad in armor, Knights have the endurance of a fortress and the strength of a siege weapon. A frontal attack against one is almost assuredly going to go badly. Lance user.

Soldier:

Unlike their armored counterparts, Soldiers prefer to give up some defense in exchange for speed. While they may not be able to take as many hits as the Knight, they sure can dish out as much damage as those do. Lance user.

Cavalier:

Cavaliers fight atop their horses, capable of wielding both swords and lances alike. Along with the extra mobility of the horse, they are truly a force to be reckoned with. Sword and Lance user.

Pegasus Knight:

Pegasi Knights are female-only warriors that ride the skies alongside their winged companions from the north. Lance user.

Wyvern Rider:

Feared by most people, Wyvern Riders have tamed the cousins of the dragons and have made them do their bidding. Able to provide support from the sky, they are welcomed allies in any battle. Lance user.

Mage:

Having specialized in the elements, Mages have made use of their knowledge to command the forces of nature. Anima user.

Acolyte:

Acolytes stand strong against even the mightiest threads using their faith, which provides them with the light to cast away the darkness. Light user.

Shaman:

The dark arts, once prohibited by the church and even the magic schools, are now at the disposition of those who want to learn how to command the darkness. Dark user.

Cleric:

A female-only class, Clerics use their staves to heal even the deepest of wounds, capable of turning the tide of a battle with ease. Staff user.

Priest:

A male-only class, the Priest has seen the light. They seek to heal the roots of all evil. Staff user.

Troubadour:

Riding across the world to provide support to those who need it, Troubadours have the speed needed to heal the warriors that lay even far away. Staff user.

Manakete:

A dragon capable of hiding his/her identity by transforming into a human, the Manakete has the strength of an army and the wisdom of Elibe. Thought to only exist in legend. Dragonstone user.

Promoted Classes:

Warriors known throughout the land due to their feats and prowess, reaching new heights. Not many even get to have a taste of such might, but those that do are even thought to have the power to slay dragons.

General

Available to: Knight

Weapons: Lance(main), Axe

With an armor even sturdier than that of Knights, a General has the power to turn the tide of a battle entirely on it's own. Their superheavy armor is meant to give the General the endurance it needs to make up for his lack of speed. Why dodge when most attacks can barely scrap the armor?

Great Knight

Available to: Knight, Cavalier

Weapons: Lance, Axe, Sword

Mount: Horse

While not quite as resistant as a General, the Great Knights are heavily armored units riding on top of horses, which gives this unit the advantage of speed over the General.

Paladin

Available to: Cavalier

Weapons: Lance, Sword

Mount: Horse

Capable of raising an army's morale like no other, the Paladin ride their horses into battle without a single regret. Wearing medium armor, the Paladin and it's horse are rarely bested when it comes to speed, only beaten by flying units and mounted archers.

Halberdier

Available to: Soldier

Weapons: Lance(main), Axe

Halberdiers add the sword to their repertoire in order to better handle opponents in close quarters where lances would be at a disadvantage, though their origins as lance specialists are generally evident. Unlike Lancers, they tend to wear medium armor, possessing superior offense and defense alike with the versatility to handle any situation, at the cost of speed or especially heavy armor. May carry a small shield as well.

Lancer

Available to: Soldier

Weapons: Lance

A lance user dedicated to the perfection of their art, Lancers eschew heavy armor and other weapons alike in the pursuit of transcendent mastery of the spear. Possessing superior speed and piercing power both in abundance, they sacrifice versatility and durability.

Berserker

Available to: Brigand, Pirate

Weapons: Axe

Taking the "macho" route, the Berserker travels the world without any armor, relying solely on the huge axe that come with the pack. Brute force is the way of life of the Berserker, but while their strikes may seem crude, don't underestimate their supreme skill with the axe.

Hero

Available to: Fighter, Mercenary

Weapons: Sword, Axe

Often carrying a shield as big as his body while wearing light to medium armor, the Hero shows that both strength and speed can coexist peacefully. A wielder of multiple weapons and master of both offense and defense, Heroes can adapt to any situation and shrug off blows that would fell lesser warriors.

Warrior

Available to: Fighter, Pirate

Weapons: Axe(main), Bow

An unlikely combination, the Warrior decided that melee combat didn't just cut it in all situations, and has taken to practicing marksmanship in order to control the distance between him and his opponent.

Assassin

Available to: Mercenary, Thief

Weapons: Sword

The silent killer. Boasts a speed on foot that is completely unsurpassed - only mounted units can outrun him. Opening locks and killing is what he does for a living.

Swordmaster

Available to: Myrmidon

Weapons: Sword

Known for his speed and skills with the blade, the Swordmaster is an opponent to be aware of. Though not as fast as an Assassin or as strong as a Berserker or with as much range as a Lancer, the Swordmaster has the perfect balance of them all to get rid of his enemies.

Yeoman

Available to: Archer, Myrmidon

Weapons: Bow, Sword

Much like the Warrior, the Yeoman decided that both melee and ranged weapons are necessary to have an advantage in all situations, and has decided to try out both.

Rogue

Available to: Thief

Weapons: Sword

Rogues are odd ones. As agile as it gets, the Rogue can even open the most well sealed door with a small trick of hand, and does not even need to use lockpicks to do so. Handy. No treasure, no matter how well hidden or how well disguised, will escape the sight of a talented Rogue.

Falco Knight

Available to: Pegasus Knight(Female)

Weapons: Lance(main), Staff

Mount: Pegasus

The Falco Knight has deemed a staff as a worthy companion, and now soars the sky with lance for offens and helps allies with staffs.

Seraph Knight

Available to: Pegasus Knight(Female)

Weapons: Lance(main), Axe

Mount: Pegasus

Being the rebel of the family, one Pegasus Knight once decided that the sword was just not for her. Instead, she went on to pick an axe as a secondary weapon. Many were to follow her after that, the class being named after the Pegasus Knight that started the trend.

Dragon Knight

Available to: Wyvern Rider

Weapons: Lance(main), Axe

Mount: Wyvern

A fearsome warrior riding an even more fearsome beast. What more is needed to inflict terror upon your enemies? A sharp axe, of course.

Wyvern Lord

Available to: Wyvern Rider

Weapons: Lance(main), Sword

Mount: Wyvern

Much like the Dragon Knight, only that the Wyvern Lord feels more comfortable with swords than with axes. Doesn't make him any less fearsome, though.

Sniper

Available to: Archer

Weapons: Bow

As precise as a Sniper Rifle, the Sniper can shoot arrows as far as a catapult can throw rocks. And amazingly, his aim lets him make contact most of the time. A great asset to any castle wall.

Nomadic Trooper

Available to: Nomad

Weapons: Bow(main), Lance

Mount: Horse

The Nomad thought that his horse and bow were all that he needed in the entire world. Until he met the lance. Now they are best friends. And for a good reason.

Bow Knight

Available to: Nomad

Weapons: Bow, Sword

Mount: Horse

Wielding both bows and swords, bow knights are outright deadly for foes close and afar. You just can't get away from them.

Mage Knight

Available to: Mage, Priest(Male), Troubadour

Weapons: Anima, Staff

Mount: Horse

A mounted mage of doom. Literally. Able to heal his allies in combat as well as burn his enemies alive, all while on top of a horse. Does it need further explanation?

Sage

Available to: Mage, Acolyte

Weapons: Anima, Light, Staff(only two of these*)

Having mastered the forces of magic, the Sage can use his soul and faith to devastate his enemies, just as he can relieve the burden on his allies.

Bishop

Available to: Cleric(Female), Acolyte, Priest(Male)

Weapons: Light, Staff

Special Skill: Slayer(deals massive damage to undead beings)

His faith keeps him going, no matter the hazard in front of him. Faith in what, you ask? That is up to the Bishop.

Druid

Available to: Shaman,

Weapons: Dark, Staff

Master of both realms, Druids wield terrifying control over the worlds of the living and the doomed alike. Their connection to Elibe allows the use of elemental magic that none but a Sage can rival, while their mastery of the Nether is rivaled only by Seers.

Seer

Available to: Shaman

Weapons: Dark, Sword

Mount: Horse

The Seer has total control over the power of darknes. But for those not good enough to be finished with magic, they bring doom to with swords. Not something you see everyday. When you do, though, it might be the last thing you see.

Valkyrie

Available to: Cleric(Female), Troubadour(Female)

Weapons: Light, Staff

Mount: Horse

Not happy with just being able to heal, the Valkyrie has now command over light and has taken to the battlefield along with her comrades.

.

Paralouge

If you have an awesome story idea, and you want to implent this in the rp during castle time, then you are more than welcome to start one. To create one, you need to write dow the main idea of plot, characters you might want involved in your story, and any important objects involved. Once that's done, submit the rp idea here, or directly to me through the PMs if you want it nto be a surprise. Then I will either reject, or accept the idea, and if the latter occurs, you may start the paralouge. Remember, when running a paralouge, the story enviroment is controled by you, and you may have some of the same privilages as the GM (but you are stilk bound to the ruless though). Keep in mind that you only control your paralouges, NOT the main storyline.

Magic

The magic system is based on the GBA titles as mentioned before. Here, Light magic beats dark magic, dark beats anima (or elemental) and anima beats light. Magic in this world is a power that can only be wielded by specific beings, but they are all born with their power, and have to learn how to unleash

You are allowed to use any magic tome or staff from The GBA titles or the Tellius saga. When you first start out, you will begin with a basic tome (example a starting acolyte would get light, starting shamans get Flux. Magic Lords being an exception, as long as they don't start with a legendary tome like excalibur). However, magic does come at a price, and if used too much at one place, the user's life force would be drained and they would die (this is actually canon for those who do not know).

The way magic grows is like how a normal fighter's strength does. The more you practice with your magic, the stronger it becomes, and the more easily you can handle more powerful magic. With that said, magic isn't very hard to understand, just as long as you don't become all god-like with it.

Name: Firxis

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Age: 21

Appearence: Firxis stands at 6 foot even, with short, brown hair and light blue eyes. He wears blue armor, like a soldiers, but with a red cape, like one a noble wears. When not fighting, he wears robes a noble usually wears, also the color blue.

Class: Soldier

Weapon: Iron Lance

Personality: Firxis is a kind and caring person, who listens to people's problems, and prefers to use reasoning rather than force, unless the situation absolutely calls for it. He is however, somewhat gullible, and can be tricked easily, if on his own, without his retainers. He is usually nice to people, but can be stern in the midst of battle if needed.

Backstory: Firxis grew up as a noble, so while he was not born of the common folk, he often disguised himself and pretended to not be a noble, so he could get to know the common folk better without them knowing who he was. He met two of his most faithful retainers that way, as well. However, recently his father came down with a mysterious illness, and Firxis has had to take command while his father is sick.

Role: Lord

Talents: As a fighter, Firxis is an all-round warrior, so he doesn't have any strong or weak points. However, he is somewhat of a skilled diplomat, and can be very convincing.

Skills:

Fun Fact: He once was able to convince a blacksmith to let him work under him for a short time, without the blacksmith knowing who he really was.

I'll get the retainer's profiles up soon, if this one turns out acceptable.

Looks good, except you forgot to fill in the gender space :p. Accepted.

I fixed the problem, here's the retainers.

[spoiler=Retainer no. 1]Name: Neiva

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Age: 20

Appearance: Neiva stands at 5 foot 6, with long purple hair, and brown eyes. She wears a blue version of cleric robes, and wears a gold necklace with a violet gem in it.

Class: Cleric

Weapon: None, but carries a heal staff.

Personality: Neiva is a friendly person, who cares about others. However, she is somewhat shy, and easily startled. She also doesn't talk unless spoken to usually, as she prefers peace and quiet. She does love nature however, and seems to have a way with animals.

Backstory: Neiva was born into a very poor family, and was sent off to work at a church when she was pretty young, to earn her family much needed money. At the church, she learnt how to use magic, mainly with staves. In her free time, she'd relax outside, where she obtained her love of nature. When she was older, she went into town to do errands for the church, where she met Firxis, who was currently just the son of the ruling noble at the time. Unlike most people, she caught on to Firxis's act, and he soon told her the truth of how he was actually a noble, and not a common person. However, this did not change what Neiva thought about him, and saw him the same way she did before learning it. When Firxis father took ill, Firxis asked Neiva to help him temporarily rule she accepted, and Firxis decided to use some of his personal income to support her family.

Role: Retainer

Talents: Neiva great with magic, well, using staves at least, not so much with tomes at the moment. She is quick on her feet though, so she is good at dodging any blows to come her way.

Skills:

Fun Fact: She had a garden at the church she worked at, for a while, secretly, as she thought it would be plucked out of the ground if the head of the church found out, but they allowed her to keep it, even when it was discovered. She now has on at Firxis's base/castle.

[spoiler=Retainer No. 2]Name: Kazin.

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Age: 21

Appearance: Kazin stands at 6 foot 1, with short, yellow hair, and red eyes. He often wears regular archer armor, though lightened up a bit to allow extra movement. What armored parts that are on his outfit are blue, with the symbol of Firxis's family on the shoulder pad on his left shoulder.

Class: Archer

Weapon: Iron Bow

Personality: Kazin is easygoing and lax, but has a short temper and can be easily annoyed. He also has a habit of not holding his tounge, and often speaks his mind without much thought. He however, is not one to be tricked easily.

Backstory: Kazin was born in the middle class, often not liking the fact he thought he was just the "Monkey in the middle." His family were hunters, and that was often how they made money, with giving people archery lessons and hunting lessons. He met Firxis when they both were just children, them becoming good friends quickly. He also become good friends with Neiva, as the three would often meet. Like her, Kazin was not tricked by Firxis's act, and learnt of Firxis's nobility. He did not however, tell anybody about it, so Firxis's secret stayed safe. When Firxis became the temporary head of his family, Kazin was asked to be one of his retainers, due to his nature of not being tricked easily being able to help Firxis's gullibility.

Role:Retainer.

Talents: Kazin is an excellent shot, and rarely misses an arrow. He also has good tracking skills, and can find anything hiding with some ease, or at least, easier than a regular person could.

Skills:.

Fun Fact:I can't think of one right now, but I'll try to add one later.

Both retainers are accetped.

I also will add a few things, mounts and personal skills. The former is self explainatory. All classes can have their own mounts, but only the traditional "mounted units" can actually fight on them. Mounts are optional though of course. Personal Skills are basically skills that are unique to a single character, usually involving their personality or physical traits.

Anyway, here is my lord's profile, with the additional options I mentioned.

Lord

Name: Korval

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Age: 25

Appearence: Korval has fair skin, golden blond hair, dark green eyes, a cleft chin, and a stubble. He is 6' 6", has broad shoulders, large feet and hands, and an overall muscular build. He has silver colored shoulder pads, breast plate, boots, and gauntlets with gold colored trimmings.

Class: Hero

Weapon: Steel Blade, Steel Axe

Personality: Korval has a very direct manner of speech, and will point out anything he does not like or what seems very obvious to him, obviously not caring what other people would think of it (Ex: If a person is a jerk, he'll tell it to their face). He also is slightly hot headed, though he is aware of this, and tries his best to keep it under his control. Dispite his gruff appearence, he is actually very kind hearted, charsmatic, and is quite a gentle giant. He is also very nurturing towards his friends and siblings, and protective of them, as well as being very humble and selfless, as he puts others lives ahead of his own.

None of this, however, means he would hold back on the battlefield. He actually wants the exact opposite in that case. The heat of battle really fires up his blood, and he always wants his opponents to fight as hard as possible (regardless of who they are, whether it is a real battle or just a sparring match).

Backstory: TBA

Role: Lord

Talents: He is known to be an excellent swordfighter, combining his skills with his exceptional strength. He is also a great survivor in the outdoors, and also is trained to deal with harsh conditions.

Mount: Horse

Skills: Smite

Personal Skill: Crushing Stike: Deals a heavy blow that ignores half of the target's defense

Fun Fact: Breaks pencil tips the most.

Will add retainers later.

I'm new to the site, so forgive anything unprofessional I might leave.

Name: Noel
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Appearance: Noel is fairly short for his age, standing at around 5' 6". He has light blue hair, lightly curly. It's long enough to reach down to the middle of his neck, but he ties it in a small ponytail. White skin. He has your typical blue Lord eyes, along with a circlet (?) not unlike the one Eliwood wears. Although it is uniform for him to wear noble attire in public, he would still manage to be told off for not doing so often, and instead wearing lighter clothing (A Purple Mage cloak, a black long-sleeved shirt, and purple pants.)
Class: Sage
Weapon: Elwind Tome and Fire Tome. Favors the former.
Personality: While Noel may try to appear positive, he possesses a realistic, or, more fittingly, a pessimistic outlook. Although sparring is a hobby of his, he has a general dislike for genuine danger. He also is the type of person to fantasize about happy friends hopping through a field of sunflowers or something of that nature. He would also be a crybaby, even for the most ridiculous reasons, if he didn't hold it back so much. Loyal, motherly and melancholic. Noel also ponders over confusing topics that come out of seemingly nowhere.
Backstory: Noel was born under a well-liked marquess, and being the only child, Noel is the next marquess in line. Noel has considered the future of becoming a ruler a dreadful thing, since he so desires a world without negativity, even though he knows a coin cannot have one side. This weight has made him quite mellow, even as a young child. He is particularly close with his parents, although nowadays his father has been very busy, likewise with his mother. Clarice, one of his earliest childhood friends, remains by his side to this day. Most of Noel's friends of grown less fond of him day after day, even though he is a prince, and he is generally considered boring by other kids. He cherishes Clarice since he is afraid of losing her. Recently, however, when Clarice introduced him to her friend, Rudolph, he provided him (without his parents knowing) and his family with a hut and money.
Role: Lord
Talents: Noel is possesses high dexterity, which may help him with drawing, one of the hobbies of his. He is also incredibly patient, able to stay level-headed around even the loudest of children.
Fun Fact: Noel says he is not cut out for physical weapons. This stems from the memory of him as a young child, crying because he was afraid to get hurt using a safe training sword, just a year before he took up magical arts. He doesn't acknowledge this memory, unlike his parents.

Ah, I've posted two... Is there any way to delete just one post? I've only just joined today, so I'm quite unfamiliar with this site, and forums in general. Is there a guide for someone like me to use forums? Because if anyone needs it, it's probably me.

Blackzero

In the case of personal skills (one per a character), it's to your imagination, just as long as it wouldn't be too OP in an actual game. Normal skills are the ones from the games.

A Ghost

Don't worry about that, I am pretty new too. I don't think there is a way to delete posts though, try asking a mod.

As for the SU, it is mostly fine, except you need to be more specific on the weapons area other than just "Fire Tomes" and sepcify what kinds he has (Fire, Elfire, Arcfire, etc) If you just get that fixed and add the retainers profiles, you'll be 100% accepted.

Goodbye, Azar, meet Rosa!

Name: Rosa

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Appearance: A young woman at around 5' 3". Her hair is a bright pink, reaching past her shoulders. When in noble gear, she wears a dark red dress with golden lining. When in a casual setting or in battle, she changes to a white short-sleeved shirt under a leather chestplate, a light green cape, and long, thigh-high dark red boots under a pink skirt.

Weapon: Her own personal lance, called Rose Thorn (Steel Lance with low weight).

Personality: Rosa is an big bundle of energy and optimism. She believes that everyone has the potential to be great. Her biggest dream is to travel the world. However, she can be very stubborn, to the point that she refuses to change her beliefs no matter what. She also has a tendency to get into long-lasting arguments, and only cools down when she is proven wrong or her opponent simply gives up trying. She prioritizes everything and everyone else ahead of her own safety and health, usual leaving her very exhausted by the end of the day, just like her uncle. This worries Rosa's retainers, but she assures them she can handle this and it is just a part of her duty to the people.

Backstory: The only daughter of the rulers of a small nation, Rosa's parents died of an assassination when she was just a small child, so she never got to know them. Until she is of the appropriate age of succession, her uncle has taken over. She feels that she cannot become a good ruler cooped up in her castle, and decided to fulfill her dream of traveling around the world while understanding how it worked. However, her sense of direction is about as good as a blind man's. While in a nearby town, she was being harassed by a group of drunkards, unsure of what to do. Thankfully, she was rescued by the woman who would become her second retainer, refusing to accept anyone else as his second retainer since they helped her. Rosa's first one was assigned to her to act as the father she never had, and was taught the way of the lance by him. One day, she sneaked out with Rayen, her second retainer, to a nearby town, and found an injured Pegasus on the way. She befriended the creature, and decided to become a Peg. knight with her skills.

Role: Lord

Talents: Rosa is the skillful one of her group, able to dodge with ease whether on Shooter or not and strike critical points. She has a very sharp eye when up in the sky.

I'm new to the site, so forgive anything unprofessional I might leave.

Name: Clarice
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Appearance: Clarice wears an orange dress down to her knees and black leggings. She also wears orange dress shoes. She has long, black hair that is tied in a braid. She also wears a bright white hairpin and earrings. When practicing bow shooting, she wears black wrist guards. Her eyes are green. She stands at 5' 7". White skin. Her horse, Huey, is a black horse with an orange saddle.
Class: Nomad
Weapon: Iron Bow and Short Bow.
Personality: Clarice is a formal, straightforward lady. She is very organized and responsible, often scolding others for not being as such. She is not one to waste even a second doing nothing. Toward her horse, Huey, she treats him like a friend and is often more concerned about him getting hurt than herself. Clarice also appears standoffish to her peers and even authority figures, but if she becomes familiar with anyone, she'll act like a teacher to them, but still be reliable and talk like a friend. She is also very sympathetic, but denies the fact that she is when someone says so. She dislikes using any sort of foul language herself (although when she becomes angry, she doesn't hold them back). Clarice is also afraid of large bugs.
Backstory: Clarice, the youngest of three older sisters, is closer to her mother than her father. Ever since she laid eyes on a Paladin, she nagged her parents into getting her a horse, to which she named Huey. Clarice would brag about Huey a lot at school and got her a lot of attention, but few were close friends. After the years, the only friend who stayed by her side since then was Noel. Clarice took up bow training not too long after finding out about Noel training in magical arts. She quickly became adept at using bows and decided to practice on horseback, which proved to be of no challenge to her. Ever since, she would spar with Noel and others. Recently, while strolling in the town, Clarice noticed a suspicious young man holding something under his cloak. This sent her in pursuit, to which the young man did not ignore, but even after trying to lose her on his tail, he is stopped by Clarice. She accused him of stealing what happened to be two mangos and returned them to the store. He then escaped from her without a trace. A day or so after that, Clarice notices the same man lying in the back of a bakery as she was on her way to practice, and, without a second thought, bought a loaf of bread for him. After that, she introduced him to Noel, who gave the man named Rudolph a place to stay.
Role Retainer
Talents: Clarice, as mentioned above, is very organized; she can manage a cluttered inventory with ease. She is also pretty good at sewing.
Skills: Prescient Victory
Fun Fact: Although it's been years since Clarice's parents read her a bedtime story, she continues to read the same books that were read to her before going to bed.

Name: Rudolph

Gender: Male
Age: 18
Appearance: Rudolph is thin but strong, and stands at around 5' 10". He sports neat, flat, light brown hair, with bangs hanging just over his right eye. He has dark blue eyes. His skin is tan and has a few burn marks on his right arm. He wears a comfortable red cloak that can conceal his sleeveless white top. He also wears cut-short red pants and black boots. Rudolph also sports black gloves and a black sweatband.
Class: Thief
Weapon: Slim Sword, Iron Sword.
Personality: Rudolph, although a thief, is a goodie-two-shoes otherwise. He is sworn to following rules and will never cross someone else, which doesn't mean he takes advantage of a loophole when there is one. He is a lighthearted, outspoken, and a master of dancing around subjects. Rudolph is a pretty fun guy to have around. Although he is not really notorious for it, he pranks others quite a lot. As a thief, he feels he only steals when he needs to, so he never passes up an opportunity.
Backstory: Rudolph was born into a very low-class family with five siblings, none sent to school, him being the second to oldest. His mother managed to teach the kids on her own, and his father had left her around six years ago. He and his family always had problems, be it food, shelter, water, anything of the sort. Rudolph resorted to stealing for his family so they could manage. When she would ask, he would tell his mother that he worked for it. She was too busy to make sure and just accepted it. One week, they had it especially rough, having to ration bread crumbs and apple cores. It was during this week when Clarice noticed him stealing mangos, and before he had a chance to explain himself, he was already about to be reported, so he bailed. During the next two days, the shopkeepers were being especially watchful, watchful enough to where Rudolph couldn't steal anything unnoticed, so he gave up and was waiting in the back of the bakery to catch something that may be thrown out. After Clarice buys him a loaf of bread, he explained his cause, and Clarice not only bought him more bread and fruit, but she had her friend Noel find a place for him and his family to stay. Rudolph promptly stated that he owed his life to both of them (to Noel's discomfort) and began sparring with them.
Role: Retainer
Talents: Rudolph is a great dancer, and can make anything seem elegant if he dances hard enough.
Skills: Acrobat
Fun Fact: Despite being a great dancer, Rudolph hates dancing with shoes on. He says he needs bare feet to have the soul of a true dancer.

The retainers:

Name: Lamorak

Gender: Male

Age: 32

Appearance: Short, military style black hair, and about 6'3". He is almost always seen in his silver-colored armor, and wears a simple grey long-sleeve shirt and brown trousers the rare days he is out of it. His steed is a brown with with a dark blue saddle.

Class: Cavalier, and his horse is named Tor.

Weapon: Steel Lance, Iron Sword

Personality: A man with very firm beliefs, he is a very stern, no non-sense individual. He despises those without a care in the world. His loyalty goes out to Rosa and Rosa alone, and thinks of the young woman as his own daughter. This leads Lamorak to be rather protective sometimes, which makes Rosa and her other retainer wish he would calm down just a little (or a lot) and let Rosa do what she pleases (even if she gets in trouble). Loves to spar with his liege.

Backstory: Ever since he was young, Lamarok had the dream of becoming a knight. Once he was old enough, Lamarok joined the knighthood and became a squire. However, he almost let go of his dream the day he met the love of his life, a woman by the name of Artuia. The two quickly fell and love and got married. He almost decided to abandon the knighthood in order to get a more stable and safe job for his future family. Sadly, there was a raid on the village where the two lived, and Artuia was dealt a fatal blow along with their unborn child. Before she let out her last breath, Artuia asked Lamarok to forgive her, and become strong enough so that such a tragedy would never happen again. He became resolved to join the knighthood once more, and eventually got assigned as Rosa's protector.

Role: Retainer

Talents: The iron wall of Rosa's retainers, he prides in his defense and ability to counter his foes attacks. However, without his horse, he's about as slow as a snail.

Skills: Defender

Fun Fact: He is a master at fishing, one of his favorite pastimes.

Name: Rayen

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Appearance: She has long, red hair usually in a ponytail and around 5'7". Typically wears a red short-sleeved shirt under a leather chestplate, blue wrist guards, a navy blue tights and black boots. There is a small golden earring on her right ear. Multiple scars are shown along her arms and hands.

Class: Myrmidon

Weapon: Iron Sword, Slim Sword

Personality: She contains a fiery spirit that cannot be diminished even during the toughest of times. Her head is full of tales of her travels around the world, and loves telling a story or two to those that listen. Rosa is a constant listener of her tales. Unfortunately, she takes great pleasure in making fun of her allies, having a great laugh whenever she sees them red with embarrassment. The only person she refuses to mess with is Rosa, for she feels she is too good for that (and does not want to incur Lamorak's wrath). When excited she tends to slip into her old pirate ways.

Backstory: An orphan, Rayen does not have a single memory of her parents, nor does she care. Eventually, she became a pirate for a ship called the Azure Sailer, she spent a majority of her life riding the seas with her crewmates, who were like her family. There, she was taught how to use a sword and fight. However, that life was cut short during a particularly rough storm, destroying the vessel. Only a few survived, but Rayen has long stopped searching for them. Taking a meager job at a local pub, she was forced to correct her pirate accent and was miserable. The day she met Rosa, she saw her being terrorized by various drunkards. After scaring them off, she offered to give the girl a meal. While they were having a fun time, Rosa accidentally let it slip that she was actually a noble who left home. After returning her, the young woman begged her to stay and become her retainer after seeing her fight.

Role: Retainer

Talents: The strength and speed to Lamorak's sturdiness. While she can't take a hit, she can surely make up for it. She is also able to read the seas like the back of her hand.

Skills: Vantage

Fun Fact: She has memorized over 35 sea shanties to heart.

Name: Orland
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 24
Appearence: 24qtsmc.jpg
Orland is around 6 feet long. Though he may look slim at first glance, he is actually very fit, as he appears when shirtless. He has light brown hairs long past shoulder length and dark purple eyes. He usually wears a simple brown attire with leather boots (which is comfortable, but admittedly not very appropriate for a noble) and, when needed, pieces of plate armor.
Class: mercenary
Weapon: Longsword
Personality: Orland may seem harsh, stubborn or even conceited, and sometimes that's actually true, but the truth is that most of the time he just doesn't care. He doesn't care about what happens around him, or about most of the people he meets. In fact, one could say that Orland lives searching for things or people that can catch his interest. He greatly enjoys fighting, as he sees it as a demonstration and contest of skill that also has the convenient benefit to work as a special language when words are not enough. He is, of course, fluid in such language. All in all, however, he isn't a bad guy, and he never willingly harmed someone.
Backstory: first male son and thus heir of a marquess, Orland never really cared for the role that he is expected to take. In fact, he outright hates formal meetings and the likes, not because he dislikes politics, but because most nobles he has to interact with are, as he says, "just a bunch of old farts, if not in appearance, in mind".
He frequently visited towns and villages, as he finds life at the palace too boring for his tastes. Sometimes during his travels, he found himself defending someone from wrongdoers, other times he started brawls in taverns.
Basically, he lived all of his life from day to day until recently: his father fell ill, and everybody thought the sickness would have claimed his life. The marquess recovered, but the experience made him decide to give Orland more duties, both to lighten his burden and to better prepare his son to succeed him.
Role: Lord
Talents: Outside of combat, Orland doesn't have any special skills. He is however quite fond of his common sense, that so many other people seem to lack.
Skills: Vigilance
Fun Fact: Though Orland is left-handed, his fencing tutor taught him how to use two handed swords as a right-handed. This makes Orland's attacks stronger but less accurate, as the main hand is usually the one controlling the direction of the weapon, with the other hand applying the strength. (this is actually true)

[spoiler=Random rants]I would like a halberdier character, just...
I noticed they use lances and swords, but wouldn't make more sense that they gain axes on promotion? So that they can use, you know... Halberds?
Also, cavaliers lose swords upon promotion to great knights and soldiers lose lances upon promotion to holy knight.
Moreover, since there are magic/physical units, shouldn't make more sense for the seraph knight to gain staves instead of axes? Can't there be a sage with swords (in the place of knives)?
You know what? To simplify, you could handle classes just like skills and make everyone use whatever they like, as long as it's one from the games or, if unique, not broken.

I made a few changes to the classes.

As for the SU, just one thing. All of the Lords are supposed to be sons/daughters of marquesses like in FE6&7. If you just change that, you'll be accepted.

So should I change mine? Since my lord's father/the marquesse of his area died and he had to take over, or just leave it as it is?

Well, you can just have this as a recent event and have him about to become a marquess during the events of the story if you don't want to change it (it could be pretty interesting.)
