Jack Hillis
Okay so I was thinking about the children on Awakening and the reicarnations. And I thought of this crazy theory that might not make sense. Okay so what if more than just Owain, Severa, and Inigo came to Fates. We know that through the invisible truths DLC the kids didnt come from awakening straight away. And they cane from Valm not Ylisse where the outrealm gate is, so it would have taken at least one week to get to Valm from Ylisse. So what if I told you that maybe more than three of the children came from Ylisse. I know it sounds crazy but what if Gaius, Tharja, and Cordelia also came. But the children in Fates aren't them because of the hair color options. But what if they went to Hoshido instead of Nohr. And what if Tharja gave birth to Hayato, Cordelia game birth to Subaki or an anscestor of him, and Gaius maybe became Saizo the first. And the Fates characters thinking that the kids looked like their ancestors, named them an anagram of the ancestors (with the exception of Asugi) I dont really have much proof I just had a though and wanted to see what you guys thought? Daniel Santos
It's a good theory and it does make sense (if not for the fact that Tharja, Gaius and Cordelia have no reason the leave to other realms) but I highly doubt it is the case. The expys, along with the child mechanic, are only in the game purely for fanservice without them giving too much thought. You are giving the writers too much credit. Jack Hillis
Yeah I just kind of had that moment where you think of one thing then 100 different ideas happen too. But to explain why they left maybe Cordelia wanted to save other kids from the same fate as her daughter since she is so perfect, Tharja maybe wanted to find the avatar or learn more spells. And Gaius could want to find some exotic candy to try.
GoXDS
but they'd be abandoning their children yet again. so they'd almost never leave for other realms
FlameheadSavvy
Eh, beats my theory that the entirety of Fates is a fever dream that Morgan has while trying to recover what little of their memories they can.
