Each pair has characters representing different series! Find the pair you like, and stick with it.By pressing R+ZR, you can switch to the partner character, if they still have any HP. Pressing R+A, B, or X allows your partner character to use an assist attack. They are vulnerable when doing this, so be wary of opponents taking the opportunity to whack both of your characters. Some moves are even Switch-Cancellable, allowing you to cut endlag by tagging in your partner character with R.From the reaches of Archanea...Marth and Shiida! While the Hero-King is a relatively melee-focused and all-around character with his Falchion and Fire Emblem, Shiida embodies the swiftness of her pegasus mount, darting in and out with her Wing Spear! The tips of their attacks deal more damage.These two royals won't stand for being shunted into a side story!Alm and Celica! Both wield impressive long-range and close-range attacks, but aren't as quick as Marth and Shiida. Celica loses HP when using some of her specials, so be sure to keep your distance when using them!This generation will be one for the books!Seliph and Leif! Seliph shares many traits with Marth, but is able to charge right into enemies. Meanwhile, Leif uses the moves and specials of the other characters, making him a mean grab bag of awesome. Use their versatility and speed to keep your opponents guessing!Pick this duo up, and you wouldn't want to let them down!Roy and Ephraim! something something spacing and aggressionTwo big guys? Two bigger swords!Ike and the BLAAACCCCK KNIIIIGGGHHHTT! Two heavy-weights? Two heavyweights with big swords, and even bigger hurtboxes! While they hardly have any Switch-Cancellable moves, some of their specials create a wave effect, but don't rely on that for long-range sniping!Who said only swordsmen could do the heavy lifting?Micaiah and Sothe! Faster attacks, and faster deaths! Micaiah can use Sacrifice to keep the Sothe train going, at the cost of her own HP!The Grand Master of All Women and the Time-Travelling Princess come to reawaken a dying franchise!Robin and Lucina! probably something about both being really averageThese two hostages have decided their fates!Kamui and Azura! While Kamui has some rather odd ranges for his attacks, execute them right, and you'll be raking in damage. Azura's attacks causes notes to play.
