Enja Lumerias
I don't have much to say, but I am a fan of the fire emblem games and so is my little brother, so I'm trying to get myself familiar with the fanbase and the other games in the franchise, as well as the romhacks...because in the future, I intend to make a youtube channel with him and shall plan them ALL. So, until that day comes, please teach me. Or at least point me to where I can learn things that aren't outright explained...such as, does having strength on a mage mean they can use heavy tomes without penalty? Sorry if it's a silly question but I would very much like to know the less talked about details.
Ycine
Welcome to the Forest, Enja Lumerias! I don't recall that Strenght is use in the calculation for weight penalty. As far as I remember only the Constitution of your character plays a role in it. I may be wrong. But I'm pretty sure someone will answer you with the correct answer in no time. And to learn things, there is no better way but to play! Of course, since you're here, feel free to ask questions! Have a nice day and enjoy your stay! I don't suppose there is a way to increase a character's aid is there? Not many people discuss that either. It's nice to be here. Which one would you recommend playing with? I've played path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn?
Ycine
Welp. I did some research and in FE9 (Path of Radiance), FE10 (Radiant Dawn) and FE11 (Shadow Dragon) Strength is truly used for Speed calculation. Before those it's Constitution as Strenght and after Speed is just Speed. To increase someone's aid? What do you mean? Like make it a better rescuer? So as for what I recommend. You can go for the GBA series : FE6 , FE7 and FE8 Or the 3DS series : FE13 and FE14 It's up to you.
SpacelessZarius
Hello and welcome to the forums, pretty sure only constitution affects weight, but I would recommend the GBA titles before the 3DS titles, i love the 3DS titles but i think the GBAs are better and are offering the challenge you might be after. Deviddo
Welcome aboard, Enja Lumerias. I personally don't know much about the weight and constitution stats of the older games, when I played Blazing Sword I never really noticed it affecting me much. Ahhh, thank you very much. I'm Told Sacred Stones isn't very good but I'm eager to play all the others. I'm aware that some are quite a bit different than one another...and fire emblem: gaiden was the first to have tier zero units?

I was reading conflicting information so I wasn't sure which to believe. So it's only for those three games. Thank you very much for helping me. Yes, Aid isn't often talked about, but it seems to be one of the more underused stats. Increasing Con decreases Aid, so then perhaps there is a way to increase aid as well? I hear it can surpass 20 for some units. Also mounted units have much higher aid. That you very much! I'll see if I can find roms for those three. My laptop's not really capable of handling 3ds games, much less playing and recording them at the same time.
