Sequitur
What characters did you like at first but have begun to dislike recently? For me, it's Percy and Laslow I really wanted to like Percy but I don't like how he's literally his father again (and I'm not a fan of Arthur) and he has never been good for me. Ever. (Though I don't think I gave him a good mother when I have used him) I loved Inigo in Awakening both in character and in gameplay. However, in Fates, I've found that he isn't as deep as he was in Awakening (Though he does have good supports with Peri and Xander) and-and this is reason I don't like him as much~his stats. He is way too slow and he just doesn't have the defense to excuse his low speed I've always found Selena to be better in basically everything except Skill, Luck, and strength (and even then Selena's strength has always been pretty good for me) Edited June 17, 2016 by DM7
Merthlock Lewoll
Sigurd in terms of stats. He pretty much breaks the game since he gets a silver sword later in the prologue. Combine that with the fact that he's a prepromote and has decent growth rates is the formula for a godlike character, which bothers me since I have other units to train up. Even though I can bench Sigurd in the castle for a while, I still need him to seize castles and recruit characters. He's a great unit, but he just breaks the first 5 chapters. I used to like him because for those reasons, but now i'm just sorta against him being a tank. All that aside, though, his personality is great.I really don't hate any other Fire Emblem character really. They're all fine with me.Except the Jagens. But if you want to talk about Fates characters specifically, for me it's Elise. In terms of personality, she's been getting annoying for me lately. I don't have anything against her stat wise but she's becoming annoying. I used to like her but not as much as now. Duff Ostrich
I haven't finished Fates yet but the more time I spend with Corrin the more I want Hans and Iago to beat him up and steal his lunch money.
Nihilon
Everyone I've chosen to marry in Fates. God, all that sappy lovey-dovey crap in My Room grates my nerves after a while. It's nice and cute the first couple times, but after hearing the same lines for the 37th time...
Moblin Major General
I don't use Silas much in my Classic Conquest even though I made him a Lodestar in my Casual run. I also don't plan on using Felicia in my Classic playthrough except as someone's mother.
Res
I usually start off disliking characters, then they grow on me... An exception is Silas; he seemed alright at first, I could dig the best friend backstory. Then I married him and his S-support and My Castle lines were bland and dull, but nothing too terrible. Definitely better suited to being a friend. Then I noticed how his story changes slightly in the different routes, and his supports with other characters are often a little harassing, and I definitely dislike how he proclaims himself to be Corrin's best friend, rather than Corrin making that decision for themselves. Thinks Their Own Way
Hana was cool at first, before I played the game, and then I started playing. Likewise with Arthur. Edit: I more I think about, what Hana does in her support with the Avatar is basically victim blaming which is a horrible thing do it. saisymbolic
I feel neutral about most characters (but that could be due to headcanon embellishing them a bit). I guess, if I were to choose, I would say: -Hana. I loved her design and quite liked her before I started doing some of her supports. Some of them just rub me the wrong way. I still can't explain why. -Niles. I don't hate him; I still like him but not as much. Most likely due to no DIO!Niles and the localization "editing" him. I don't want to say they butchered him but the way they worded some of his supports took away the character development and impact they initially had. -Camilla. It's her voice. Someone said it sounded like an old granny and, at first, I felt offended because I liked her voice. Then, I started listening and, gradually, I could only see her rocking in a rocking chair with saggy titties lmao Why couldn't it have been Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as her VA? Also, her supports with Jakob and Ryoma don't help. -Felicia. I liked her at first but her supports, man... Why couldn't Flora just be the main sister and Felicia be somewhere else? Her support with Hinata is really cute, though, so I might screw up Hisame just to have them together. -Ryoma. He called me a fool during our private time and I will never forgive him. SniperGYS
Silas was a dissapointment to me. I'm usually very cheesy for childhood friends relationships and I like the cavalier class and paladins, so I really wanted to learn more about him, but after start playing Fates, I found him annoying, creepy (I really don't like how he calls himself my best friend even if is obvious that Corrin didn't remember him that well) and he is very mean to a lot of the other girls. As a result, I can't use him again. Thanks to god his supports with Mozu where ok, because I restarted my Revelation file after see how awful he was with the characters I paired him first

CaitlynMellark
Felicia - I loved her Japanese voice because she was cute & moe-like, but in America... Her voice falls so flat, & then she's barely usuable if you're a male character because she is so weak & you have to train her. And by the time you get her as a female, it's too late to even care about her. And her personality is like a maid Sumia, which isn't special. Jakob has more of a personality & he's just a bastard. I mean, I still like her, but not as much as her Japanese counterpart Male Kana - My precious son has a voice higher than my other files' daughters. And because I married Kaden & made my Kana a nine tailed fox, his voice sounds even worse. He is adorable, & I love him, but I can't get over his voice either. It's so high. I understand he's young, but so is the other Kana & her voice is DEEPER. I will still love my precious foxy son though. Hana - I liked her a bit, but now I hate her because she outright blames you for getting kidnapped as a child. She's just a grade A bitch in my opinion. Her only redeeming quality is that she is a bachelorette & gives off the favorable samurai line to kids. Camilla - I liked her. I truly did. She was a freaking Malig Knight & I loved her. But after her being used as a porn fogure, & her being used for so many other sexual innuendos, I just don't like her anymore. The fandom ruined Camilla for me. Hinoka - I liked her in Japan. But now her voice is too deep. I understand she is the 'tomboy' of the royals, but her voice is too scratchy & deep. I like her still, but like Felicia & Male!Kana, her voice is hard to listen to. Peri - Voice. Love literally every aspect, but the voice. It hurts my ears. Kill her voice. I would've put Awakening characters, but I either loved them or hated them. Nostalgia, I guess, since Awakening was my first Fire Emblem game.
JasonMendez
Hana - I loved her so much at the start like 10/10, but her support with Corrin dropped it to about 8/10. I always use her and her nice class line helps. Rinkah - Her class line looked cool, but her supports kinda made me dislike her. Whereas I was indifferent to Beruka not wanting to interact if necessary, Rinkah just comes off as rude. I don't hate her, but I don't really like her either. Nyx - Can't say I liked her much if at all, but I did think she would be a good unit, but wow did she turn out fragile. Her backstory is nice, but constant talk of her age comes off as annoying. Odin - I liked Owain, but his design was off putting and "My aching blood" just don't feel the same. It kinda feels forced in my opinion. I do like how he matured however. Silas - I love Cavaliers and I had high hopes for Silas, but some supports are straight up awful like accusing Azura of being a spy. I don't use him much at all like I thought I would and he is really just used for Sophie one of my favorite characters.
Etrurian emperor
Odin would by my pick. I was never on the Owain love train as much as most people but I did always like him. He was funny, a decent unit and his supports were good or at least alright. But I'm not finding myself warming up to Odin nearly as much. Out of the Awakening trio he seems the least developed. The carefree Inigo is more thoughtful and the senior retainer(though that one is more due to his partner being insane) and Severa is less bratty and has learned to be unconditionally nice to some people. Both developed as characters but Odin strikes me as the exact same Owain as the one from Awakening. As a result I feel that he's less deserving of his place in Fates. His whole bombastic persona is also getting a bit old now.
Rezzy
Jakob: I liked him for his dedication to Corrin and even married him on my first playthrough. But then I saw more support convos and he's a jerk to pretty much everyone else. The nail in the coffin was him being a jerk to his own son. I know too many people in real life who kiss the ass of their bosses or people they think are peers, only to treat everyone else like scum, and it really rubs me the wrong way. Soleil: I wanted to like her, but her hyper aggressive sexual nature just makes me uncomfortable. Most of my other opinions have stayed more or less the same. Yunanuy
Like many others here, Silas was one of the characters I liked best in the beginning. I love his design; still do, but the more supports I see of him the more I get mixed feelings about him. I don't like or dislike him anymore, he just, is. In his defense though, his C-support conversation with Azura makes sense in CQ (which is the route I played first, so it didn't bother me as much in BR). And as for the proclamation of being Corrin's bff-thing, I've only seen him say Corrin is his best friend so far, not the other way around. Anyone care to point to which support he says so? Hana. I liked her design and we don't often get cool female myrmidons, but most of her supports just rub me the wrong way. I mean, she has this "me (and Sakura) against the world" mindset and it really does not work in her favour because she's just way too headstrong about it. Others that I "liked" but have grown to like less over time are Charlotte, Saizo, Kaden, Arthur, Felicia, Peri, and all the siblings. To be fair, I never liked Elise or Sakura from the start, but they've both somewhat grown on me. I don't really like them, but I don't dislike them either. fuck Xander for killing Elise and not putting his sword down though. like wth. Everyone I've chosen to marry in Fates. God, all that sappy lovey-dovey crap in My Room grates my nerves after a while. It's nice and cute the first couple times, but after hearing the same lines for the 37th time... Same. This, so much. On the other hand, people I disliked but have grown to like over time are: Azura, Mozu, Setsuna, Benny and Nyx. Also Azama. God damnit I hated that dude and wanted to stab him, but now I actually think his antics are funny. I don't know what changed..
PizzaRice
Jakob: Hes an ass for no reason. In some convos, he just attacks people out of the blue. Probably the reason i like Gunter tho. Gunter pretty much slaps him across the face, in experianced elderly fashion, in each of their support convos. Sequitur
I'm not surprised about the amount of Silas hate on here. I agree with many of the points against him though I never really liked him in the first place. I liked Sophie a lot more than I thought I would though On the other hand, I really like Hana, and I'm kinda surprised at how much she's on here but to each their own

I'm pretty sure he claims that he's Corrin's best friend in his c-support with Charlotte when she asks him if they're close, though, I could be wrong because it's been a while since I've read their supports, but I remember that was when I started to dislike Silas.Loved Hana at first, until her support with Corrin. Yikes I also loved Effie when the game came out in Japan, but that was before I actually played the game. Her constant talk of food and training got old really fast. saisymbolic
I honestly just stopped going into My Room completely. Shura, you delicious piece of middle aged ninja-turned-outlaw, I love you. Naga knows I do, but stop asking if you can stay in My Room because you don't want to go home! First of all, you don't even have a home to go back to. I am home. We are married. That means My Room is Your Room, dumbass. Ugh. Still love you, boo. I'm going to delete My Room in favor of statue space.
Hamtier
Effie the first support set i had of her were with arthur and in there she wasnt so one note(at least not annoyingly so) however every other support i have had since then are of her being incredibly of one tone and its an annoying tone at that. so i've grown to rather dislike her because of that..
