I personally think that FE7 is the most balanced of them all: very few bad units, axes are not as inaccurate, reasonably strong enemies, etc.

You see, I would have voted Fates, but only Conquest. Birthright becomes Ryoma solo the second you get him, and Revelations is best summed up by Royal fest accompanied by a fuckton of shit units.

Since Fates is all versions combined in the poll, I voted FE7

FE3, since FE7 is very unbalanced in favor of the player. The same can kinda be said about FE3, but it's not as egregious. (Plus imbalance in the player's favor is not as big a deal as imbalance between the player's choices)

I agree with Conquest though and would probably vote for it if it were an option on its own.

There aren't really any outright awful units in FE7, compared to other games that show us such things as Sophia, Wendy, Fiona, Tomas, etc.

In terms of weapon balance, FE10 for having readily available 2-range swords and giving Marksmen more of a niche with the perma-3 range.

I'd say Gaiden. All classes are distinct from each other and have their use. Armored Knights work as intended for once, priests are valuable due to the absence of healing items and both priests and mages have a varied array of spells that they can call upon. Even the archers are valuable thanks to their 1-5 range.

Fire Emblem 8 is the most balanced FE game of all time.

Seriously though, I think that Fates(Conquest specially) is the most balanced one. I can tell that they put a lot of work into tweaking things that were broken in Awakening as well as other things like the revision of the weapon triangle to include bows, or how javelins aren't as overpowered. But if all versions of Fates count as one vote then I'm picking FE7.

Blazing Sword is probably the most balanced. Binding Blade and Radiant Dawn's balance is not so great, Genealogy of the Holy War is heavily favored towards mounted units, Awakening can be completely broken, and Shadow Dragon and New Mystery of the Emblem have several units that have to be HEAVILY favored to make usable. Sacred Stones and Path of Radiance are pretty balanced, though.

I'm not sure... This question seems like it should be simple, but it just isn't. That said, I think FE3 because there's nothing egregious that stands out in terms of balance issues (*coughConhack*), though I'll give honorable mention to Fates for tweaking a lot of the stuff that was broken in Awakening.

Weapon Rank being a stat already skews characters such as Caeda and Roshea above the others in Book 1 (They can use Silver Weapons at base), along with Marth being fairly good. Then you have characters like Palla in Book 2, sure you have star shards to buff everyone to how you want, but there are clear super good units in comparison to others.

Theres also tons of characters in FE3, that skews the balance by itself, also to those saying FE7 is balanced, my counter to you all is Marcus and Pent exist, while characters like Wil and Dorcas also exist, that is Not balance. A better comparison is that you get Nino a Level 5 Mage after you get Sage god Pent. Unless you like Nino (like trust me I like her as a character) or are a fan of the Est type of units, there is literally no optimal reason to use her.

FE has no balance, nor will it ever. The closest we've probably gotten was Conquest but even then you have stuff like Camilla and weaklings like Odin, and Birthright outside of Ryoma is ok about it, but Revelations is FE12 tier of unit balance meanwhile. Combining them into one choice isn't a good idea.

None of them are even close to being balanced.

I agree with this, but I still voted FE7 because I have a harder time breaking it than most other FEs. Tho if Fates Conquest was a separate poll choice, I'd change my vote in an instant.

Personally, I find PoR to be the mos balanced from the ones I have played (I only have not played 1 and 2 so...). All units are usable, enemies are never to difficult or too easy (Well except the Black Knight in those two chapters he appears in before his final battle), and unlike RD, there are no super OP Royal Laguz that make all of your training at the end f the game completely redundant.

Though I do agree with Jedi in that there is no balanced FE game since all of them have moments where they can be broken to be in favour of the player or are just Lunatic (+) from FEA.

I'm not sure Blazing Sword is the most balanced out of all of the games. I find Shadow Dragon to be a bit more balanced and Awakening more balanced yet. So yeah I'd probably say that Awakening is the most balanced game. Most unbalanced game should definitely be Binding Blade.

I'd consider calling Shadow Dragon "balanced" questionable, tbf.
