Conquest Begins.

Unless you're doing some sort of optimized Lunatic run (if it's your first time doing Conquest, DON'T DO THIS), pairings aren't super-vital. You can make something like Arthur x Nyx work (don't do this either, unless you really want Malig Knight Percy). So figure out which of the cast you like, and just run with it!

Would Corrin x Camilla work out?

or will it seem a bit of a sister brother complex?

or Flora? or..

what do u think is a good pairing for Corrin? also combat-wise for Kana.

Kana's main niche is their potential to have ridiculous Stat Modifiers if their parent was a 2nd Gen Unit. However, this really doesn't mean much in Conquest, where you flat out can't grind w/o DLC and Eternal Seals are quite the investment. So basically, Kana is just going to end up as a second Corrin with no Yato access. Depending on your Corrin's build, this can work, but they really won't be super noteworthy.

If you absolutely want to use Kana in Conquest, decide what build you wanna go with (Physical or Magical) and make sure that role has synergy with what you pick as Corrin's Talent (as they will inherit it). Corrin's spouse should (of course) compliment this role (I.E. don't have Felicia be a physical Kana's mom). Since you're going with a Male Corrin (I assume), then good choices for a Physical Kana would be Camilla, Mozu or Effie. Maybe even Azura if you can get around terrible bulk. Magic wise, Elise, Nyx and Felicia are pretty much your only options. Note that Camilla probably makes the best Mixed Kana if you want to run something like Basara, Dark Knight or Nohr Noble. Mozu also counts if Kana inherits Aptitude.

its hard to invest time and effort on Mozu in this

unless i give her "Paragon" but even then its still quite limited

like REALLY limited.

I had plenty of EXP to go around on Hard!Conquest when I gave Mozu Paragon, but Mozu doesn't really even need to be trained that much if all you want her to do is mother Kana. Literally just have her be Corrin's backpack. Sure, Kana's bases won't be quite (and I'm talking 1-2 points per stat) as good as if they were both trained, but Aptitude should kick right in to help Kana out.

Regardless, did you have a particular class you wanted Corrin/Kana to be? That's probably the best place to start when deciding Kana's Mom.

Speaking of Mozu, she's your only unpromoted bow option aside from Niles (and Anna if you have her DLC).

As for chapters, I'd be wary of 10, 12, 17 and 20, to name a few.

its quite hard.

The Chapter 10 is the one with the endless horde?

that got me down to my last 4-5 people...

Chapter 12 my main was outted too fast so im redoing it

it was all going quite well but Hazama and his Magical horde was quite brutal.

Yeah.

Azama doesn't show up in chapter 12. Like I said earlier in the thread, chapter 12 is the one with the pots.

Also, as for Paralogues, I wouldn't wait too long to do Ignatius or Forrest's paralogues if I were you.

You want to save Felicia for either going Odin, Niles, or Leo.

Try out some of these pairings:

Xander x Charlotte

Leo x Felicia

Keaton x Camilla

Niles/ Odin x Elise

Niles/ Odin x Nyx (your choice here)

Silas x Mozu

Kaze x Azura

Laslow x Selena

Jakob x Peri

Benny x Bekura

Arthur x Effie

In this setup if you are the male avatar you are going to have to marry one of the kids, Flora, or Anna (if you use the DLC).

There are a couple of ways to help Mozu out. One of them is to have Mozu become an Archer. Another way is for Mozu to become a Dread Fighter. If you plan to use Mozu, get her out of Villager once you get her.

Hmm Odin x Nyx = Ultra mage spawn

then again Niles x Elise = Really odd Couple.

@ A@ im at a dilemma here

Elise!Nina is one of the better alternatives to just having her Mother Ophelia. Nina and Dwyer are some of the only kids other than Ophelia who can use her Growths well without a lot of hoop jumping.

Jakob + Elise is way better than say Jakob + Peri, since Jakob will actually get use out of the Partner Seal when he marries Elise, whereas Peri iirc, will just pass him the Cavalier class which he already has.

Myself, I went with Nyx!Dwyer and am building him into a Malig Knight. (I love Maligs!)

He should turn out pretty beastly.

@OP: don't forget to make use of Nile's Capture ability!! It looks like you've already missed out on the game's best capturable boss in Haitaka (Ch.9 boss - hot damn does he make Ch.10 soooooo much less of a headache!!)

But you should still have a chance to nab Kumagera, the boss of Ch.14, who's another real gem. (Oni Chieftain who comes with Certain Blow + Counter-Magic, which can build in to a sweet, sweet diversionary crit monster!)

Also, Ch.14 has capturable Samurai's w/Pass, which can help make for a solid front line melee unit.

Later chapters include things like the infamous 'Rallyman', Spearmasters w/additional seal skills and/or Amateratsu for heal bots, Falco Knight w/Pass, Kinshi Knight w/Bowbreaker...

These guys can really help round out your overall party, especially if you've been horribly RNG screwed on some of your own characters.

...How to Capture?

...How to Capture?

If you have a prison set up at the castle, the Capture command is added to Niles' commands after moving. An enemy defeated with this command is sent to the prison.

You can capture basically any generic unit during the main story and/or during skirmishes (though the latter is not an option in Conquest!)

As long as the enemy are not 'specialist' units, such as Faceless or Kitsune/Wolfskin, and/or they're not labeled as "Invader" (ie: the invisible ghostie dudes), then you can attempt to capture units.

You can also capture most of the 'bosses' that show up during Museum Melee if you have that DLC map, though they tend to overall be more useful on Birthright playthroughs since most of the good ones sport Nohrian classes.
