Sias
11 hours ago, XRay said: For mages, then definitely Moonbow. Eating a magic counter and then activate a Special in the first round of combat is very important. If you run Heavy Blade, then I would go with Luna. Draconic Aura is better against units with low Resistance, but units with Low Res usually do not need a strong Special (or any Special in some cases) to kill them. HP tanking is not really a thing in this game, so I would focus more on Def/Res tanks, and Luna will usually crush their Defense or Resistance. Unless there is a specific unit that you need to kill that Draconic Aura can but Luna cannot or if the calculator shows Draconice Aura having better overall results, I would go with Luna since it is a little more applicable against more units. I usually run either Heavy Blade or Quickened Pulse on the characters in question, so I don't think that Moonbow is necessarily ideal. So what I did was to run the calculations about the damage of Luna vs DA for each character one time without buffs, once at 4/4/0/0 and once at 6/6/0/0 for the horses. The results are that DA always gets more wins on Linde and S!Elise, is generally better on Roderick (equal only at 4/4/0/0) and the superior choice for Mulagir!BH!Lyn with attack buffs, but worse if she doesn't have buffs or uses a Brave Bow. Xenomata
@Ginko I'd hate to butt in, but you do realize you have the option of saying nothing, right? You can just read the response, say "whatever", and move on without provoking anyone or anything. I won't speak for @Ice Dragon, but it's not like anyone expects a response with every post they make. Dude'll probably forget how this banter even began when he wakes up in the morning. What you are doing now runs a risk of breaking forum conduct in fact, so I'd just not even bother responding if you are that bothered by it. Moonbow-Speed +3 is generally better than Luna-Heavy Blade if you do not need the scoring. Doubling is generally more important than activating a higher cool down Special. I am not sure which calculator you are using, but Luna and Draconic Aura both give the same results. I am using arcticsilverfox's calculator. Linde +Atk Aura Life and Death, Desperation Heavy Blade 4/4/0/0 Player Phase [Luna] 131:25:68 Player Phase [Draconic Aura] 131:25:68 Player Phase [Luna, Enemies +Spd with Fury overwrite] 97:36:91 Player Phase [Draconic Aura, Enemies +Spd with Fury overwrite] 97:36:91 NS!Elise +Atk Hibiscus Tome [Spd] Life and Death, Desperation Heavy Blade 4/4/0/0 Player Phase [Luna] 176:22:26 Player Phase [Draconic Aura] 176:22:26 Player Phase [Luna, Enemies +Spd with Fury overwrite] 138:33:53 Player Phase [Draconic Aura, Enemies +Spd with Fury overwrite] 138:33:53 If the enemy got Fortify Resistance buffs, then Luna will perform better by a few kills. Moonbow-Heavy Blade with Desperation active outperforms Luna/Draconic since it can be activated during every round of combat, and Moonbow also sometimes outperform both during first round of combat as since Luna/Draconic Aura-Heavy Blade will not activate the Special against enemies that cannot counter. Shiki
@Ice Dragon In the JP version of Heroes does the schedule say "New Heroes" or "Special Heroes" for the March banner? If it is the former it would mean it isn't a Seasonal banner, right? EDIT: 12 minutes ago, Thienphu said: Hi,I have a +def/-atk fallen Robin and a Hardin fodder. How good is brazen def/res on fallen Robin? And how good is bold fighter on Robin? Bold Fighter is pretty silly on Robin due to his absurdly high Atk stat. Though in your case I would rather try to capitalize on his stronger Def. Brazen Def/Res is ok but it's not necessarily optimal though since it requires him to take enough damage which in Arena can easily put him too low. There are better defensive A passives out there. AgentOlive
Hello everyone long time lurker first time poster. On my quest to plus 10 Camilla I got a random Hector on the new 4 star banner. And I decided to test my luck on the Love abounds banner and got LA Hector. Now my question is which Hector should I keep and which should I fodder to Camilla for distant counter? For reference my original Hector is plus res minus defense, and my Valentine Hector is plus speed minus attack.
XandaXiloscient
So I got "Lucky" and got 4 L!Ephraims, (I was trying to get S!Corrin to make a trio of flying mages) is there anyone that particularly wants his skills? Or should I just Merge them together and stick him on a Cavalier Emblem Team? And if the latter which iv set should I use? I have +Def/-Spd, +Spd/-Res, +HP/-Def, and +Spd/-HP. I have +Def/-Spd, +Spd/-Res, +HP/-Def, and +Spd/-HP. +Def/-Spd if you don't care with his Spd because he can perform double through his lance effect. He is more tanky with +Def boon. +Spd/-Res is also a good choice. After Hone Cavalry, he can prevent more double. -HP hurt his overall bulk on both physical and magical side. -Res is safer because most of time you won't let him tank magic anyways. +Hp/-Def is the weakest choice here. It is always better to have more units, especially during Arena Assault and Grand Hero Battles. If you really want to fodder off of one of them, I would fodder regular Hector. LA!Hector is seasonal so he is pretty limited, whereas you can always summon another Hector again down the line. 1 hour ago, XandaXiloscient said: So I got "Lucky" and got 4 L!Ephraims, (I was trying to get S!Corrin to make a trio of flying mages) is there anyone that particularly wants his skills? Enemy Phase melee units that do not need to tank ranged attacks would like Sturdy Stance. It is better than Fury since it gives you 1 more Atk/Def and 3 less Spd (often times, you want your Enemy Phase unit to be as slow as possible to activate a Special), as well as not having recoil damage. Personally, I rather just merge. I would pick [+Spd, -Res] or [+Spd, -HP]. I lean towards -Res, but -HP helps him reach Desperation range faster if you have trouble achieving 75% HP thresholds. LL!Ephraim +Spd -Res Flame Siegmund, Moonbow Fury, Desperation Heavy Blade Enemies +Spd, Fury Ovewrite Enemy Phase [Melee Enemies only] 85:23:22 Player Phase [HP=30] 190:15:19 Just make sure Ephraim does not have a lot of allies around or else Flame Siegmund does not work. Cause I was reading the effect and no where does it state that it has a phase limitation. I checked it on the calculator and it does activate during Enemy Phase. Flame Siegmund basically has Follow-Up Ring build into it, but only if Ephraim is surrounded. Edited March 3, 2018 by XRay

mcsilas
So I went thought my main account's barracks and my best Nowi seems to be +Def/-Spd (the other is +Atk/-Def which is...weird) I think +Def/-Spd is good for Steady Breath builds right? Thing is, I need more Steady Breath fodder. So should I still promote the +Def/-Spd or wait for another one? Or would Steady Stance still be okay? Although the -Spd will make her be doubled a lot and I guess without Steady Breath's cooldown effect maybe it's not as good? What would other alternatives for A slot be? Fury/TA I guess? edit: Also what's a better nature for Priscilla? +Res/-Def or +HP/-Def? Should she be focusing more on specialising her Res or just having more HP to receive attacks? mothmanex
So I have 2 extra B!Ike. Which are the best steady breath users? Is Fae better with Warding or Steady breath? Also, my highest merge units are B!Ike (+10), F!Celica (+5), Tana (+5), Ninian (+6). Which blue unit is best to focus to get +10 via feathers? Currently I'm trying to get my Soleil to +10 and Fae (going to get her to 5* today).

About Nowi, It's depend on what you want to focus. She can be speedy with +Spd boon combine with Fury and +Spd weapon forge. She can be tanky with Steady Breath and can always stay high on HP with Aether. TA will make her useful in more niche. In mean time, You can go with Fury build. It's cheap but very useful to inflate her overall stat. Pick low cooldown speacial like Moonbow,Glimmer, and Bonfire up to your preference. Personally, I'm addicted with her Fury build so I don't plan to give her Steady Breath so soon. Because her speed is high enough to survive Nino and other middle tier green units with no problem. For Priscilla, I would prefer +Res/-Def. +HP increase her overall tankiness. I assume that you want her to be magic tank.Other suggestion would be +Atk boon. It increase her healing potency if you need a strong healing coming along with her offensive prowess. Edited March 4, 2018 by Ginko

Currently I'm trying to get my Soleil to +10 and Fae (going to get her to 5* today). Steady Breath is especially strong on most of the dragons (e.g., Adult Tiki, Nowi, Fae, Myrrh w/Lightning Breath), as most are excellent enemy phase units. They have a built-in distant counter, along with a need to accelerate a special's cooldown. As for Steady Breath vs. Warding Breath on Fae, really, both are great for her, and so I'd say that's more a matter of how you want to build her and what role you want her to occupy. She's pretty flexible in that regard. Perhaps others could offer more insight on that, but there's good arguments for either. For a blue unit to +10 via feathers, I'd say Nowi is one of the strongest options right now, and has good synergy with Fae and Ninian, due to the Dragon Emblem passive skills. Dragons are quite powerful in the current meta. Reinhardt also continues to be one of the strongest units in the game as well. You could also consider Cordelia or Effie. Hope that helps!
