If FE Characters Were Their Namesakes

Recommended Posts

Random thought- you know how many FE chars (and weapons) have their names derived from mythos, history and the like? Well what if everyone was suddenly like what their mythological basis were? Some instances:

Bors- the third holiest knight in the world, also chaste (which is dirtier than he probably is in FE6). Close friends with Perceval- the second holiest knight and now a virgin.

Xander/Marx- the former turns him into a world conqueror who dies young. The latter makes him into a social revolutionary interested in liberating Hoshidan peasants from their feudal society, though in old age he grows bitter with whats become of the movement he started.

Pelleas- comes to the Senate's side without need of the Blood Contract, just so he can steal the Ettard from Ike and sate his undying love for the sword.

Loptyr (in possession of Julius)- stays evil, but becomes very trolly in his antics.

Priam would be related to Hector rather than Ike...lol Priam's Japanese name is Paris, who was the brother of Hector's namesake. Haha.

Ike would either be an actual noble, I think, or Eisenhower. XD

Ah, now this is a fun topic.

All of the Kitsune and Wolfskin in Fates would just be fabrics, or in the least, fashion designers.

Iago/Macbeth would be either the master manipulator responsible for everything evil that happens in Fates, or would secretly murder King Garon with his wife and take control of Nohr with a tyrannical hand. He would only be stopped once Corrin escapes and partners with Hoshido and unwittingly fulfills a prophecy to defeat him.

Cain would kill Abel out of envy, and be cursed to wander the world by Naga.

Odin would cut out his own eye, hang himself for nine days, and do numerous other exploits in an attempt to gain wisdom.

Lethe wouldn't be a character, she'd be a river. And Lyre would be a stringed instrument.

Hector would be similar to how he already is, only he'd have a son instead of a daughter. From what I read here, I don't see any glaring differences.

Fiora would die in a Mechon Attack?

Ephraim would lead one of 12 tribes, Joshua would collapse a wall somewhere

Sigurd would name his son Sigmund, not Seliph

Micaiah would be male and not morally ambiguous

Titania would wield Light and probably be even more broken than before. And transform into any Laguz type at will. And also have Shade and Mantle.

Mustafa would fend off Ylisse, Plegia would still lose the war, and then he would reform Plegia.

Arthur would be King of Nohr, and Guinevere would be his wife.

Greil would be part of Arthur's round table.

I believe "kanna" is an era in Japanese history and "kana" is a writing system. Hana means a flower but I have no idea, what Kazahana means. Funny thing about Hana and Kana are that their names mean "faucet" and "chicken", respectively, in Finnish. That's why prefer their original Japanese names.

Ishtar would lose Julius and most of any other lovers to some form of misfortune.

Ryoma would be just another Hoshidan civilian, since Ryoma is a regular Japanese given name.

Jugdrali Arthur would wield swords, not tomes.

Nohrian Arthur would wield swords, not axes, and probably be somewhat luckier overall.

Seliph would be a Cantabrian town in Spain or a heavenly being.

Leif might be a Norsewoman, an Irish god, or a regular Swede.

Marth and Ares would be fighting over which of them was the real war god. (Ares and Mars are the same deity in Greco-Roman mythology.)
