Droppable items on enemies and NPCs

If a yellow unit kills an enemy with a droppable item, does it go into your storage? What about a green unit?

It does. The Crossbow dropped by the boss of 3-P is a good example.

Thanks, I would have had to restart because an NPC stole a speed wing but it was for the best because it sent it to the base so that Haar could consume it immediately before the battle instead of it being on the Crimean Royal Knights.
