My CD Collection (Or, How I Spent My Time Immediately After Getting Home from Texas)

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone!  So I just got back from Texas today.  While I was over there I picked up a couple of new albums on CD, namely Devo's Freedom of Choice and Steely Dan's Aja.  As I was getting settled back into my own room, I figured the shelf where I keep my books, CDs and DVDs was starting to get cluttered, so I thought it would be a good idea to organize my CDs alphabetically by artist, then by release year (with studio albums at the top and other types at the bottom).

Some of these CDs are originals, while others are copies made by my dad from his own collection.  The originals were easy to organize, but the copied ones were tougher due to some inaccurate labeling.  Some of them, like the Starship, Meat Loaf, and various artists CDs, necessitated a lot of digging around online just to find their correct titles.

Below are a couple spreadsheets I made to help with the organizing process:

...Oh, who am I kidding.  The truth is I just wanted an excuse to show off my CD collection.  Which is why this is in Far from the Forest...
