Why are most of the characters in the Tom and Jerry X Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory crossover voiced by anime characters?

I'd say, as fan of crossovers as I am... even that one makes me rise an eyebrow. Then again, at this point it barely registers as weird, just on the "not at the front of my mind".

I mean, after seeing some of the Scooby Doo ones...

Did you ever see the old "Scooby Doo meets Batman and Robin" film? I think it was a direct to disk release.

I was quite enamored with it as a child.

 

Arbitrary on topic post: Tom and Jerry also went to space and met tiny martians so it's not really that weird. By comparison.

I think I've only heard of it. When it comes to SD and Batman crossovers I'm more familiar with the ones in the Scooby Doo series that was about crossovers.

Well, yeah, but that's an original work, so it would be different standards.
