3H lords have the standard amount of options for their game though. I’d say Byleth is a better comparison with their 40~ options across genders.

Death is eternal. He is Dracula's right hand. Even if he has no story role, he is obligated to make a boss appearance.

His Symphony version is on the weaker side, 666 HP is really small for when he shows up (although, the thematic alternative would've been 4444, maybe too much). That, and buyable Potions exist.

Just don't have a final event where it's overly lovey. Problem solved. (See Devil Survivor 2. Wherein the final event is not only not lovey-dovey, it's post-climax, as it's the second to last event where the character completes their little arc.)

If your part of your concern is dating cringe, there is none. Yes the girls might each blush once at Itsuki at the end of their side quests, but no dating and no true harem. TMS#FE is not modern Persona.

Take it from me, who despises the idol genre, I found TMS to be pretty enjoyable.

Actually tbh, there's only two idols in the whole game. All the other characters are actors or hosts. So TMS is more about the entertainment industry as a whole rather than specifically idols.

Archanea and Awakening. Yeah it's a bummer. On the other hand, it made Tharja an actually good character, something I once thought impossible.

In my opinion, by keeping the focus on just two settings it allowed to incorporate characters you wouldn't see otherwise, even if their roles were still minor.

Like, can you really think Dolph and Macellan would've appeared in #FE if it wasn't limited to only Archanea/Ylisse and Valm?
