The art style and tone of the story delivery seem… questionably light hearted for my tastes, and that “emblems” thing scarily seems to imply the gacha part of those leaks is real too (not that I know why it wouldn’t be), but those map screenshots seem pretty neat. I feel pretty neutral about this one, since I don’t feel like we know that much. On the other hand I’m hyped for Octopath 2. A sequel isn’t 100% surprising, but it was still pretty unexpected. And some of the characters seemed really interesting, specifically the scholar, thief, dancer, and maybe merchant. Let’s see if I can resist the urge to start with the first O character in this game and go in order again… Harvestella also still seems really neat. No idea when I’ll do the demo.
