At the start of the battle, MegaMan receives one to five random Battle Chips which he can use with his N Special. The Custom Gauge will also begin to fill. When the Custom Gauge is full, MegaMan can receive a new set of Battle Chips. Sometimes, he receives a combination of Chips that form a Program Advance. He'll also receive a Program Advance when his Smash meter fills or when he breaks a Smash Ball. I did want to incorporate Style Changes, Double Soul, and Crosses, but I felt that would overcomplicate his moveset, so I opted to reference them through his costumes as well as his ground and air attacks, most of which involve his buster or the various charge shots he's been able to use. The following sections are WIP. Spoiler Intro: MegaMan warps in and spins, like when Lan jacks him in. Ground N: Buster - Mega Man fires a shot from his buster that doesn't flinch or launch. You can hold the button down to fire a stronger shot with more knockback, or you can tap the button to use Guts Machine Gun, a rapid-fire buster attack that racks up damage quickly. S tilt: Long Sword - MegaMan slashes in front of him with a katana. This is based on Shadow Soul's charge shot. U tilt: Wide Sword - MegaMan slashes above him with a purple beam sword. This is based on Proto Soul's charge shot. D tilt: Slide - MegaMan performs a sliding kick, based on his slide move from Network Transmission. S smash: Guts Punch - MegaMan throws a punch with a massive yellow fist. This is based on Guts Soul's charge shot. U smash: Bubble Shot - MegaMan shoots a water bubble upward. This is based on the charge shot of Aqua Style, Aqua Soul, and Aqua Cross. D smash: Flamethrower - MegaMan burns the ground on both sides of him with dual flamethrowers. This is based on the charge shot of Heat Style and Fire Soul. Dash: Wide Slash - MegaMan performs a slash attack with a claw. This is based on Slash Cross' charge shot. Aerial N: Buster F: Roll Arrow - MegaMan fires a heart-tipped arrow from a pink arm cannon bow. If this attack hits another MegaMan.EXE who has chips loaded, the chips will be destroyed. This is based on Roll Soul's charge shot. B: Wind Racket - MegaMan swings a racket behind him. This is based on Wind Soul's charge shot. U: Twister - MegaMan emits a green whirlwind above him that hits eight times. This is based on the charge shot of Wood Style and Wood Soul. D: Thunderbolt - MegaMan fires a thunderbolt downward. This is based on Elec Cross' charge shot. Grab & Throws Grab: F: B: U: Tornado Arm - Mega Man lifts the opponent above him and blows them away with a whirlwind. This is based on Gyro Soul's charge shot. D: Metal Fist - MegaMan slams a large Metal Fist down upon the foe, burying them. This is based on Metal Soul's charge shot. Specials N: Battle Chip/Program Advance - At the start of each match, MegaMan receives one to five random Battle Chips. Sometimes, MegaMan will receive a specific combination of chips that combine into a Program Advance. ProtoMan B - MegaMan summons ProtoMan.EXE, who warps to the nearest opponent in range and attacks with his Sword. Program Advances Sword + Wide Sword + Long Sword = Life Sword Fire Sword + Aqua Sword + Elec Sword + Bamboo Sword = Element Sword Custom Sword B + Variable Sword B + ProtoMan B = Deux Hero Slasher B + Custom Sword B + Variable Sword B + ProtoMan B = Double Hero S: Zap Ring - MegaMan fires an electric ring that deals damage and paralyzes the target. This is based on the charge shot of Elec Style and Thunder Soul. U: Air Shoes - MegaMan soars upward using jets in his shoes. D: Anti Damage - MegaMan enters a defensive stance. If he would be hit during that time, the damage is negated and he retaliates by throwing three shuriken at the attacker. Final Smash: Beast Out - MegaMan performs Beast Out with one of the Cybeasts and attacks. If MegaMan is on the ground, he Beasts Out with Gregar. If he's in the air, he Beasts out with Falzar. Taunts U: MegaMan pumps his fist. S: D: Victory Theme: Winner! - This song overrides the usual Results Screen theme. The main platform consists of a 6x3 grid of panels separated into red and blue halves. Two additional panels hover in the air, one on each side directly above the corresponding center panel on the main platform. The floating panels function as semisolid platforms. In the background, various NetNavis watch the battle. The Navi audience is randomized each time, though certain songs will guarantee specific NetNavis, similar to the King of Fighters Stadium stage. Almost every NetNavi seen in the Battle Network games is available. Even MegaMan himself can appear if he isn't an active fighter in the match. Priority 1: These are the Navis I'd want to include for sure, including the core cast and significant characters: Bass Colonel GutsMan Glyde MegaMan (Only appears if MegaMan isn't among the chosen fighters for the match) NumberMan ProtoMan Roll ShadowMan Priority 2: Most of these Navis were involved in Double Soul or Cross System, giving them some more significance than the Navis further down. Ring and TurboMan were playable characters in Battle Chip Challenge, so they also get included here. vanguard333 Posted December 11, 2022 Share Posted December 11, 2022 I think this is a great idea; it would be really cool to see Mega Man.EXE as a fighter in Smash Bros. Regarding the final smash, having him beast out is cool, but I think something that would be even cooler (and more representative of the character across the series) would be for him to transform into his Hub Hikari form and unleash a powerful final blow in said form like he does after a lot of the different final boss fights over the course of the series. Main reason I opted for the Cybeasts is because the current costume selection doesn't have any BN6 rep (mostly because I think the BN6 Crosses look kinda lame next to the Souls from BN4 and 5 with a few exceptions), unless you count Colonel Soul.
