  1. Just because summer ends and Autumn begins doesn't mean my home, Arizona, will fully cool off on-the-snap. Until mid-October, it will stay above 100 degrees Fahrenheit(or above 37.77... degrees Celsius) and humid, which is summer-like conditions elsewhere in the United States, and we don't even get snow during the daytime hours, and even if we do, it would come early-morning and melt by sunrise, so I think in some places(like my hometown), Summer isn't officially over just yet. To prove my point, I will tell you this: Most of Arizona has a different season structure than most of you guys here that don't necessarily live in Glendale, Arizona, or anywhere else in the Valley of the Sun(aka, Maricopa County): Spring, First Dry Summer, Wet Summer, Last Dry Summer, Autumn, and Wenter(or winter without snow, but rather, rain), and right now, we're getting to the Last Dry Summer stage in which the weather is hot but progressing out of triple-digit average high temps and into high-double-digit average high temps. By the time mid-October comes, Autumn will finally arrive here in Maricopa County, AZ, but in this case, it won't involve leaf droppings, but rather, mid-to-high 90-degree high temps, and it will last until the holiday season, when we will see high-80s in terms of average high temps. And I'm not complaining about that when I don't want to show my displeasure in bad circumstances. If I did that, I'll most likely get in trouble, and you know I don't want that! Just posting that to tell you that the Autumn equinox date means nothing to the weather in most of Arizona, as the weather won't change drastically, unlike the rest of the US, until October at the least...
  2. A forged longbow's damage to Pal! with maxed SPD and STR: 18(Mt)+24(Str)-30(opp.Def.) = 12 DMG per hit *2 attacks(AS of max stat sniper is 4 or more than Pal!, so after the Pal! moves, sniper get to attack a second time) =24 DMG per round A forged brave axe's damage to max def. Pal! w/ max STR: 30(STR)+19(Mt)-30(opp.Def)= 19 damage per hit * 2 attacks(Brave Axe)= 38 DMG per round. Anyway, that's off-topic, so allow me to get back on-topic... I remember a battle with a hacker that I don't know the actual name of, but I do know that his team is called LOLZ, he has a Tomas with a torch and all his units have 98-use weapons, and I lost to him in both of the two times I battled him... So, in short: Name : Cant remember Units: Can't remember exactly, but: Hero Sniper(?)Tomas Level: Medium Why: An item in his possession isn't legally obtainable in this game, 98-use weapons, can't remember any more reasons why...
  3. would you like my all-maxed HM!Draug? fc: look here
  4. ...And it's official: I doubt I'd be willing to look at MC again for FE:NM's weekly sales, as on Week 8 of its run, according to the only data given right now(top 20), FE:NM's sales are semi-officially drying up. I mean, less than 5,518 copies(amount of copies sold for a competitor game by the name of "Portable Hakuouki Essays", which is at the no. 20 spot)??! Oh, Nintendo, what are waiting for to announce a US release date for this game? The 3DS? This is getting worrisome!!! At this rate, provided they're not panicking about a Thanksgiving 3DS release in the US or something similar that might force them to port or hurry up, given that the 3DS is a true successor to the DSi XL(nothing's official though, but we might still get FE:NM on DSi, although the signs don't look promising in my opinion, which include a sign of a contrast to 5-6 years ago, when the DS1 was released, as it wasn't officially declared to be a successor to the GBA, so games still came to the GBA despite the DS1's release(including FE:TSS), but as time wore on, the DS handheld sales went up, and people realized the potential and went away from the GBA, paving the way for the DS to become the successor of the aforementioned GBA),but regardless, I'd say that the only obvious solution that would finally cancel out this game's slide on these charts is finding a way to releasing the game to the States, preferably before Ninty's Japanese division starts to lose money on the game(don't worry, not overall, just individual product-wise) by its lack of sales. But will it have to come down to that just to rejuvenate sales?: Proof of chart: Sales chart ^ :( EDIT: Even worse, vgchartz says 3,866 sold for FE:NM for the week ending on 9/4(drop of one percentage point more than 30% from last week). I wonder if Ninty waited a little bit too long to at least announce a date, if only to stop its bad slide. The best we can hope for now is either a date for American and/or Europe release, or official confirmation that FE:NM is Japanese-only.. :(
  5. By growth, I mean growths after DGs. So in this case: Level growth 6 90 7 90*1.1 =99 8 90 * 1.2 = 108 9 108 - (100 - 90)* 2 = 88(?) So, the second-to-last level's growth rate(after calculations), mentioned above, explains how the topic creator's Navarre's hp stat went up by 2 upon reaching lv. 9: The DGs impacted it!
  6. Well, it's not necessarily screwage... I was clock abusing, and discovered, at least on my account, that if the growth rate is over 100, the guaranteed 1 is added to the stat, then after 100 is subtracted from the growth rate to begin the check for the +2, another RN is used to check for the +2 using the same procedure it used to check for the +1, only that the growth rate the RN is compared to is the growth rate after the subtraction of 100 from where the guaranteed stat growth of +1 comes from, provided my account is accurate, and if the second RN is greater than the growth rate after the subtraction of the hundred, then the change in the stat stays as +1, but if it's less instead of greater, THAT is where the +2 comes from. So, you got lucky there... ;)
  7. well, it appears that vgcharts agrees with you, as the difference of sales between last week and this one amounts to almost 500 copies in the negative, with the word "negative" meaning it sold less than it did last week... If it sold just 14 copies less than it really did, I'd be really disappointed...
  8. ^ And for the week ending 8/29, according to MC, FE12 is at... ...spot no. #24 with less than 6,142 copies sold for the week, with the exact figures for those below the top 20 yet to come! How disappointing... :( ^ Well, there's always next week, don't you think so, Pineapple?
  9. Thank you for the relief. I was puzzled when I saw the #14 spot on MC being FE12, and I thought that since it was a down month for gaming, I thought FE12 sunk below 5,000-7,500 for the week reported yesterday. It got me wondering if FE12's English/American release might be in the trash for some reason. Well, I'm not worried about that anymore, as that thought is now proven premature. However, my fears on some parts might still be reasonable, do you think so? I mean, there may be a trademark issue regarding some minor parts of FE12 such as the BS chapters, as mentioned on my previous post, but FE12 in the States is still on for release(regardless of whether or not Japan buys it now and contributes to the charts), which will most likely occur next year...
  10. sales chart for this week ^ I wonder if the absence of fe12 in the above top 10 charts in Japan, combined with the recent holiday release schedule for upcoming Nintendo games in the US(shown here), as well as the silence from Nintendo of Europe's holiday release schedule(with an semi-official confirmation on that claim here), made this message to us from Nintendo possible: "Fire Emblem 12 is not holiday-season-worthy, so you're not going to get it on Christmas, but maybe after Christmas"... :( ^ I wonder if we have to wait until the games get slapped with the additional labeling of "Also compatible with 3DS" on the back side of the game package, just like they did with FE:TSS when the NDS first came out, before we ever get word of an official game title translation, adjusted price, and release date for FE12... Makes me wonder if they might go with the "Japan-only" stance, which they showed from FEs 1-6 back in the Famicom/Super Famicom days, for FE12... I hope that's not the case, given we already got FE:SD, so why aren't we getting word about an English version of FE12? Is it due to the sales? ^ Off-topic, but might be a factor in terms of English version status: I wonder if one of Akaneia Saga's trademarks is the reason why they are waiting to give us the information, and that if they don't find a way to make an agreement with WOWOW(which formally held St. GIGA, which is one of the co-makers for Akaneia Saga, before St. GIGA went out of business) on filing for a US trademark, we might either not get this game outside of Japan due to trademark issues, or the Akaneia Saga chapters will be taken out of all non-Japanese versions of FE12. This is a similar scenario to what happened to DK64, due to the Jetpac inclusion, as Jetpac is trademarked by Rare, Rare was bought by Microsoft after completion of DK64, and now DK64 cannot be remade due to that little detail called Jetpac. I hope a similar scenario does not happen to FE12 outside of Japan due to the little details, and, if it is released, I hope the BS chapters will not have to be taken out of the English version... :( ^ I apologize for the off-topic comments, but due to the poor FE12 sales this week compared to the previous 4 weeks, it made me wonder if Nintendo is contemplating second thoughts about whether to bring FE12 here, and whether the Japanese sales are a factor at all in such FE12 decision-making... I thought it was doing well, until today's report. I know that it's not selling as good as its older SNES brother in its time, but sinking below the top 10 to the bottom two of the top 15 after being present in the top 10 for 1 month, with that one month being a down month for the gaming industry overall? I hope they release it here in some form, and I don't want to wait too long for information on when they will do so. I'm not impatient, but I believe that if there's not an issue with any part of this game, then they should release the title for its next release country soon, but I guess it's up to them to decide when to do so...
  11. ^ Wrong? I think you get light orb w/ the starsphere as well. While I don't have FE:NM yet, and I live in the states, I can see and learn about it by reading about it via the original's page, as I know it's a remake. However, since I don't know whether that means he won't give you light orb if you don't have all 12 star orb shards, or if he gives you the light orb anyway, star orb or no, can anyone confirm for me?
  12. They are reset to the base weapon rank of the new class, in this case, catria gets a E-rank in bows, with any exp gained in the new class's weapon area w/o increasing its weapon rank added to it, and when reclassing later to same class as before, it goes back to the base weapon rank for that class, w/ any additional weapon exp. w/o increasing weapon rank added as well, or in this case, any weapon exp. in lances will be added to catria's e-rank in lances...
  13. Answer depends on difficulty... I believe arena in H5 is as rock-hard as SNES return of the jedi's final level: as border-on-impossible any game element can ever be w/o turning the game into a game no one can beat. And in this case, rather than encouraging controller-throwing(as the arena is only a minor part of the game, rather than a major part like the death star level on Return of the Jedi), it merely forces you to abuse bosses and make do with the gold the main story naturally gives you, rather than lose it all, along with your characters, in an arena in which the cpu always creams you. Good thing it's not that way in normal/H1-H3... :) Because of the "depends on difficulty", I will not choose between yes or no. If there was a third, in-the-middle option, then I might choose that, but... :(
  14. August 2nd-8th sales chart ^ Whoo! :D The new fire emblem's now at more than 210,000 sold! Can't wait until it comes to the States, provided Nintendo doesn't spoil the party like it did to the first 6 FEs. But now I bet you're proud that FE12 is a hit in Japan, too! Now, Nintendo, rather than letting speculation do the work for you, announce a window for release of this hit to the States already!!! I know it's too soon to announce an accurate date, but now I think it's nearing the time for the announcement of a Quarter window for release to the States, don't you, readers?
  15. Is it because you have 5 snipers? ^ I looked at the archers available legitimately in FE:NM, found out that you may have one or two snipers too many, judging from the picture... ^ Did the problem occur because of that? ^ If it did, maybe you need to check your reclass screen for significant excess of snipers, and see if that's why it occured... ^ Other than that, is there an Aum staff in this game that allows a one unit excess after its purpose has been fulfilled revival of one and only one unit? If so, then maybe you have to have two snipers too many if it occured because of that... edit: I apologize. I thought there were 3 archers in the game...
  16. I'm back from my test, and willing to respond to your PMs, if any!

  17. going out 4 test. Don't expect me to reply to your PMs until I return.

  18. name: greg fc: 0173-6768-9587 pm me with your fc and confirm that you added me if you want to battle(which I'm currently not open for as my team's not perfected yet) or if you want a share of the units I clock abused for stats, with more details on that here. ^ ok, time 4 bed. Remember this: I won't be open tomorrow afternoon due to a summer session test, but I'll try to make progress on team perfection in the morning, and who knows if I'll have time for wi-fi communication with anyone who PMs me for any reason... edit: My team's in link battle testing phases now. If it does well, it will be finally ready for battle, meaning I will truly start taking battle PMs. Anytime now...
  19. 7-8 days away from 30-day territory, and yet I decide to post this. :) offering(Clock Abused stats): (Key: class char[level: hp, str, mag, skill, speed, luck, def, res]) sniper wrys[9: 51, 19, 2, 25, 29, 24, 23, 20] horseman draug[10: 39, 17, 17, 28, 29, 24, 17, 19] berserker barst[11: 51, 21, 4, 24, 28, 22, 18, 19] swordmaster cain[10: 52, 24, 6, 29, 30, 28, 12, 23] sage merric[11: 54, 3, 28, 28, 25, 30, 12, 25] If you want to loan me your units: I don't care what you decide to loan me, as long as those units are NOT the characters whose names belong to the ones I loaned you, in case you decide to take them for your 1-player campaign, which is the best you can do, due to the unfortunate inability to use them in multiplayer battles... :( ^ Just thought I'd share my CA'ed goodness with others... edit w/ fc: 0173-6768-9587
  20. Epic win: Caeda takes on a knight in the arena that has 23-25 hp and 72-75 hit. Caeda does 2 damage. knight misses. Caeda doubles to deal 4 more damage to knight. knight misses 4 more times, with caeda doing 4 damage each round. On the 6th round, after caeda did 2 damage, the knight finally hit caeda once before dying on the next caeda hit or two.
  21. It's a DS multipurpose game copier, or a device used to store and use/play a licensed developer's work-in-progress images, homebrew video games, or downloaded commercial games. By the way, do you wait to execute any of the things I mentioned? Or did you do it too quickly? Maybe you need execute the steps to the process faster, or slower?
  22. Then are you using R4 or something similar that doesn't use the system clock?
  23. I'm not Groner, but I can tell you that it works with a DSi, contrary to what you just said. But it doesn't automatically turn off when you get out of the settings screen, which is the only difference from clock abuse on DS/DS Lite to DSi, and since the trick doesn't work unless the power's turned off after the settings are changed, you'll have to manually do the power off. But there's a way to "fool" the game into thinking the power's off after a settings change, and do it successfully: When the "Time Set" screen begins to scroll up, and the system tries to go back to the settings menu, but before the time screen has fully disappeared, I press, but not hold, the POWER button to go back to the DSi menu. Then, I control pad to the right quickly to select the game, then I quickly press A to start the game's boot sequence. Then I quickly press A to get past the title screen, and get to the game menu. Then I continue my game from there. ^ Outside of the aforementioned method above, I don't know if clock abuse will work on a DSi...
  24. I wonder if you mean Lunatic in reverse mode... If no unlockables exist on lunatic: v. 1(non-reverse), then I wonder if that's rough proof that when and if this game comes to my native country(USA), lunatic: v. 1 won't be in the version I will be getting: the US version... Why, oh why, Nintendo: We got FESD:H5, you gave people a chance to figure out ways to beat it, but if the no Lunatic unlockables is a sign, then you will be getting disappointed looks from those people that figured out H5 and want a further challenge via Lunatic, but don't understand Japanese to give them a lifeline should the US version does not have what they desire... ^ Although I'm not one of the "beat H5 without too much difficulty" crowd, I feel pity for those that are in that crowd...
  25. Remember my last post in the clock abuse thread?

Well, now my test results are confirmed.

    The outcome?

You're right on your answer. Growth rates don't go below the rate a character starts with/winds up with after reclassing, even if the dynamic growth rate is negative.

Proof: My level 9 marth with 7 resistance due to 1 level up, not from rng a...
