  1. Jericho kept his distance, not out of fear but a general respect for others who were interested and already going inside. He of course would have loved to be able to look into such a wealth of knowledge, but it seemed there would be an impractically small amount of time to really glean anything from what he'd want to know, as he would have had to know before hand of what he wanted to look at but that's neither here nor there. "Did you have anything in there you wanted to check out?" He looked to Zach, gave a shrug, and eventually decided that yeah, maybe he should see what's up here. "If nothing else, there's sure to be a show here..."
  2. Ohio agrees with this reenactment
  3. Sitting by her lonesome with a piece of paper in front of her, ready to keep on writing that letter, Aneda smiled. Maybe this will get help me vent and deal with all this crap going around in my mind. she thought, detailing what she could of her adventures since she met Fyodor. Unfortunately, she couldn't get into very much detail given she wasn't going to be telling him in person and some sensitive stuff was in there, mostly just describing places she'd seen and how she was feeling at the moment, remembering to keep a positive spin on it all the same. She ended her letter, speaking the last bit to herself, "Sorry I haven't written until now, I've been all kinds of stressed but I hope you're okay with me writing to you still..."
  4. Pretty much dude. Take a beanbag and relaxificate.
  5. "Aaaaand your overt sexual tendencies haven't really done much for other people here in the meantime, so your'e both sitting at zero while he's actually been trying to be productive." Jericho shot at Angelica, getting annoyed with the hostilities at this point more than the practices themselves. He could see the appeal of certain activities, but they had a time and place for them. Like the shaman said, in a grand cathedral though? Awkward. Turning back to Zach, keeping his voice down a bit, "I mean, I'd be for it and I'll certainly suggest it to at least Veronika but yeah..." He absentmindedly had his hand on his chin at this point.
  6. I"m 95% it wasn't you dude, don't worry about it. Pretty sure peeps are quite ok with ya.
  7. "Scary is definitely a word i'd use. I honestly hate the hell out of it but in recent years I've dialed it back because, well, what the fuck can one guy do to friggin nature?" The answer was probably a lot, especially if he was in an area with flammable objects but those details weren't really relevant to his point. "As far as my sanity goes, I think everyone snaps at some point in life. Like you say, relatively speaking, I enjoy that sort of honesty among anyone really." Jericho was still staring at the door, a mere glance over towards Angelica and gang for a moment before he returned his gaze towards the door. "Only so much one can do, but hey, a single person can still make ripples, and if more people ripple, we can eventually make some changes."
  8. "I'm noticing that all too much in the single day I've been near her..." Jericho admitted, sounding a little defeated. "Zach, got it. The name's Jericho. Honestly... you can call me whatever, just so long as it isn't some form of derogatory slur towards me specifically. Beyond that, I'm good." Looking over at the door, he frowned, still not sure what he was even supposed or allowed to do at this rate, "Man... I don't even fucking get magic half the time. What even the hell is it? Just... What."
  9. "Yeah, yeah I can do that." He said, nodding and applying what healing magic he had to the wound. He almost asked what it felt like but then he realized it's a goddamn sword, what else would it feel like? "Any idea what the fuck that all was...?" He decided to actually ask, still confused on the fog and... whatever the hell those things were, and it only made him feel awkward knowing that there were still many around them.
  10. Well... I should probably be able to help out now, right? Jericho questioned, a bit uneasy about the room still. He eventually steeled up and went over to help mend up Zach who appeared to be in a bit of pain still but nothing fatal from first glance. "You ok?" he asked, more to hopefully break his silence than really trying to get a conversation going but the latter would be alright all the same. Though in retrospect, one look at the guy would've told Jericho all he needed to know, but still.
  11. Maybe it'd be something even we didn't know about ourselves? Or maybe she's bluffing. Man, I gotta stop expecting that, even if I still think it's completely rational. Jericho thought, not quite sure what to do about the events that just transpired. "I don't know." he said out loud, if only to actually show he was listening. "But I like to think I got nothing to hide? Still though..."
  12. Yay victory! it's like Christmas all over again!
  13. "Yeah that's totally what I said..." Jericho mumbled in as sarcastic a way as he could, shrugging and shaking his head. He likely would have thrown out some form of insults, in fact had he not talked with Veronika about that specifically, he would have been perfectly OK with it, but he wanted to just drop it and let things go at this rate. Maybe afterwards? Doubt that'll change anything, people rarely want to hear they're in the wrong or not doing things right, ever, really.
  14. "Yeah..." Oh wow, so it's not just me? Amazing! Perhaps my assholish nature will still eek out a bit too much regardless. "Just focus on not dying, have fun when fun is a thing to be had. As for you," Jericho pointed at Lumi, just sort of staring for a moment, "I ain't gonna sit here and debate how to fight, but predictions far outweigh reactions. Reactions are good and well enough to have, but being in control of the fight is much better than simply reacting. You do... what you want." He finished with a sigh, making more mental notes about the group.
  15. "Hmm." Jericho grunted, wondering what's exactly waiting for them at this point. If we can't assume anything, that leaves too many options, but then again, I'm going to just assume she's scoffing at the 'only two' part of that. he thought, obviously trying to figure out what was said. Well, to him it seemed a bit obvious, but then again, he wasn't dead set on this assumption and so he left it open to only himself. He wasn't even sure he was willing to deal with guards at this point, but hey, he could at least stand by... maybe.
  16. Jericho looked at each person when they spoke up, not having any real input on the situation since Veronika already voiced his response. Instead he just kept on observing, wondering what was underneath that lady's extremely un-enthused exterior. Hopefully it was just a front, or at least just the current side he was seeing and that there was reason to believe this person was in charge. All things considered though, nothing hinged on if Jericho believed who has authority or not, and he fortunately knew that. Well... at least I don't actually owe that money. He thought to himself, a mental high five ensuing.
  17. "Apparently she's off taking a nap?" Jericho said, a bit confused on why such a, in his eyes, revered person would be so flippant in duties, but then again he had no other basis for this beyond ideals. "Either way, apparently that guy is gonna go get her, hopefully." Looking back towards the leaving acolyte, thinking to himself, Ten gold says he doesn't actually try to wake her up...
  18. "I second that." Jericho spoke up in a straightforward and genuine tone. "If you don't trust us to walk in freely, fine, but you'd probably trust one of your own confirming it, right?" It seemed straightforward to him, but the redhead figured this acolyte person would worm his way out of it with some annoying words. Jericho would hold his tongue as long as he could, It would suck to give off such a terrible first or second impression to his employer, depending on how much she actually payed attention of course. Waking with a start, Mushirah found herself asleep at a table, one she knew perfectly. Right off the bat, she knew something was up, some form of trick or hallucination, especially when she saw her parents in the room with her. "Mom? Dad?" she said, eagerness and a hint of childlike wonder seeping in. There was no response beyond casual glances back at her, smiling as they went back to doing what they were doing, she couldn't make much out since she was still trying to piece together what exactly was going on. That moment subsided as suddenly a plate of hot fish and potatoes was placed in front of her, her mom smiling at her, "You need to keep your strength up, dear, you've only just come back! And to think, you had to go and get hurt like that just to learn your lesson..." "What? Mom, i'm fine, really, it's... no big deal..." Mushirah replied, losing all her steam as she spoke up, wiggling her stump in a futile attempt that unfortunately made her point seem nonexistent. "It's... look it's fine, it's not the end of the world, right? I can still, like... use magic, and walk and read and I guess I can try to relearn drawing and stuff, but-" she was cut off by her dad this time, "Now now, take one step at a time here, don't need to go breaking everything else now, right? You only just got back, relax." confidence draining, Mushirah didn't really want to argue with her parents, not even bothering wondering why she was at home at this point. Unfortunately, or perhaps quite fortunately, her dream seemed to lose its focus as she slept soundly, in reality, on a super friggin comfy bed. Hell yeah.
  19. Jericho scratched his head, following somewhat behind Raquel and her friends, making no mention of things until Raquel pointed at some guy who decided to exeunt. He noted that the other girl asked Raquel a question, but he didn't feel like he was imposing too much when he asked, "Do you know the guy...?" I mean, I certainly don't, maybe that'll make a difference in what goes on here though?
  20. With people gone, Aneda had nothing else to do really, minding her own business whilst tending to Hannah idly. Nothing too interesting going on with her, really, as she was still going over her options, only slightly miffed at how conflicted she'd been feeling as of late. Jericho got out of the wagon with some of the other people at the cathedral, overhearing a variety of things but nothing in particular stood out as conversations he had to join in. He was honestly more curious as to when he'd actually get a chance to talk to Raquel in person more than anything else. He did, however, take note of the knights that a certain Shadrak had indicated, unfortunately not quite getting what was so special about them from a mere glance, but hey, looks weren't everything.
  21. "Well, certainly not now with a bunch of things happening, but I've never been on a hunting escapade, it could be fun." Jericho said, almost as if he was thinking out loud, but still being considerate and acknowledging the woman. "Sure, but also, come ask me if you want to as well. I may forget since I've never really been accustomed to it, you'd have a better idea of when and how to do it and what not." And with a nod, he did continue, "Is there anything else you wanted to talk about while we're still here?"
  22. "Well, I have no knowledge of what he's said to you so I'll take your word at that. If my saying it really ruffles you this much, I apologize." Jericho said, a grin creeping onto his face, "And if spontaneous chatting isn't your style, we can just sort of call it off, if you want I guess." he finished with a shrug.
  23. What stuck out to Jericho the most was the repetitive use of the word cute in Robin's response more than anything else, prompting a head tilt from him. "Um... yeah. I mean, you seem to be doing a fine job of expressing yourself here, unless you're hiding something from me altogether, which, if you are, is perfectly fine. I'm only here to listen, not to pry. But besides that, I'm getting a pretty clear picture from what you've been relaying to me."
  24. "The thing is, you're right. If people could just start feeling better about themselves, we'd most likely see a marked improvement in productivity." Jericho replied, nodding at Robin. "And as far as what I think of you, does it matter? I already said I think you're kinda cute, but really I don't know much about you other than you've got a lot of pent up stuff and you're wanting to go and help out your family, which is admittedly admirable."
  25. "Hold on." Jericho said before actually getting into anything. "If you want to ultimately go, I'd honestly encourage you to do that if that's what you feel is gonna be in your best interest. As far as everyone being special or having a reason to be here? Superficial at best. Self fulfilling and selfish. I sincerely doubt that there's a single person here who's actually here due to a completely altruistic outlook on life and not doing this for either money or some form of moral gain. I mean, I'm only here so I can drag my brother away from this gang Raquel's group seems hellbent on pursuing, and if Veronika is correct, murdering too or at least bringing them to justice." Smiling and shaking his head as he thought about it, "And having what seems like an out of place skill? I don't know about you but being able to do something, even if it's so outlandish, not that making your own weapons is outlandish, that others normally wouldn't is something to be proud of. Means you're different, at the very least, nothing wrong with being different." Hand on his chin, he had to really think about what he was saying. Was he being placating for ease's sake, or was what he was saying going to actually help her out? "Hmm... Well, like I said, all I can do is listen, and in return give my opinion. I personally don't believe you're as invisible or as much of a nobody as you think you are, but I have a feeling that nothing I say will change that. I could say I think you're pretty cute, for example, but in the end you get to choose how you feel about all these things. You're only as bad as you feel." He thought to try and end his rebuttal on a high note, wondering if she'd take any of this well or not. "... So she's able to warp about now? The hell is this?" Aneda exclaimed, or said anyway, it wasn't really any sort of yelling so much as a surprised surmising to herself. Well, if she got a chance, she's actually go and talk to Raquel about her leaving, at least try to get out on good terms as opposed to a 'oh by the way I'm gone' sort of thing.
