  1. Best: Map positioning (Aka being able to accurately chose where certain units are positioned on maps.) Worst: Shoving
  2. Do support him with Fir and give him Killers. You'd be surprised. The problem with that is that going on the Bartre route means passing up an opportunity to buy Killer Axes until late in the game. Also, Bartre's Bow rank starts at D. Not to mention gimping Gonzales. And I heard that the Bartre route is harder than the Echidna route... In all fairness though, Echidna is one of the hardest characters to recruit out of all the FE's. She generally dies the first turn she shows up on, and there's nothing you can do about it. Also, FE7 Bartre isn't all that bad. He generally turns out pretty good when I use him. Though that's some personal experience on my part.
  3. You know, it's sometimes hard to take what you're saying seriously when you always end your posts with "In my opinion". At least it feels that way to me (Lol I just did it) Anyway, I mentioned Paragon for Jill because she is arguably one of the best users of it due to what it helps her accomplish, but it can generally be understood that all DB units might need a chapter or two of Paragon if they want to be used in part 4 even if I don't mention it. Yeah, I should stop doing that. Maybe. Yeah..... Anyway, like I was saying it saying something like that may be delving too much into favoritism. Given what you said, I can then say the same for Aran. If I give Aran paragon, he'll level much faster and then will cap str, skl, and def faster allowing for me to use bxp to raise his spd, luk, res, or hp. This is what I did when I played hard mode, and it kind of made chapter 3-13 pretty easy (I essentially just used him, Tauroneo, and Laura. Leonardo helped me kill bird Laguz though. Oh and I also used the NPC characters.) I was even able to bring Aran into the final chapter..... I think he was around lvl 7-8, 10 at most by 3-13, but I believe it was most likely 8. See, the problem with Aran in HM is that there isn't nearly enough BEXP to get his lower stats up to respectable levels, even if he gets Paragon. Jill's growths are fairly even, so all she needs is natural leveling, making Paragon great for her. Also, it was mentioned for part 4, not part 3. Besides, it's not like I'd assume she gets it for free. Then what about someone like Nolan :o

  5. FE 1/FE 3 book 1/ FE11 : Camus FE 2: No one..... FE 3 Book 2: Wolf FE 4: Areone FE 5: No one..... FE 6: Gale FE 7: Lloyd, Linus, and Fargus FE 8: Glen FE 9: Nedeta FE 10: Levail, Zelgius
  6. If you're going to mention Jill getting paragon, then mention it for everyone else too. Otherwise it's just favoritism. Well in my opinion anyway.
  7. Well, I've finally started to work on editing the text. It took me pretty much all day to do so, but I finished all of what is now the chapter 6 text. Like I said before, I had to add in another part of the game for event reasons. This part of the game is six chapters long including the prologue, so the first chapter of part 2 is chapter 6, which will also be the first chapter of the demo. In honor of finishing the chapter 6 text, I finally have some screen shots. Enjoy! Just to say, the first image's background will be different in the actual demo. Don't ask why it's different at the moment.
  8. I can't tell if this is being sarcastic, or serious, but I suppose I'll explain anyways in detail as to why Geese has problems. 9 base speed, 10 con with a heavy weapon type, +1 speed on promotion, only 10 levels to be had beforehand with a 40% growth, which would equal 12 before promotion (40%=2 points every 5 levels). By the time he hits promotion, 13 speed is not enough to double pegasi in Ilia, which is about as bad as you can get (I'll put it this way, you could train and promote Geese, Garret would STILL be doing better). I mean, why does Geese have the worse start and worse promotion gains? You would have absolutely no reason to not use Gonzo over this guy. Speaking of berserkers, bandits and pirates though, waterwalk sucks. Lately in newer FEs, waterwalk has been 1 space for 2 move, while in the GBA games it ust reduces you to 1 move. Fix that, so waterwalk isn't utterly useless. Mountain walk is fine, because a mountain is an utterly powerful terrain type. I wasn't being sarcastic. I've honestly never had any problems with Geese before as a unit. Personally, I think he's one of the best characters in the game. And I generally use both him and Gonzales since they seem to be the only axe users worth using besides Bartre and Dieck. Also, I was able to get the Rogue animation in, but the Assassin animation doesn't seem to want to work in FE6 and I don't want to bother trying to figure out what's wrong. Just tell me what type of patch you need and I'll send it.
  9. What type of patch do you want though? IPS or UPS? EDIT: I'm going away today so I'll post the patch when I get back since I won't have internet.
  10. Geese has trouble doubling? Weird. Never noticed that before. I have experience with adding animations. Just tell me what needs to be done and I'll do it (NOTE: I'm not making anything from scratch. If you want to use an existing FE animation, I'll do that, but anything else would just be annoying.) I'd take me like, half an hour at most? Plus I'd take the liberty of adding the classes in too, since you don't have experience with inserting animations. Thieves would promote using the Hero crest I'd imagine then correct? I don't think I'd be able to get Rouge's to have unlimited lock picking though. Same would go for assassin's having Lethality.
  11. About Volug, I don't think he is deserving of a higher score than Sothe. They're both really useful in part 1, but Volug can't steal, gains bad exp, and suffers from the laguz transformation gauge. Even if he does have a monopoly on olivi grass, it still seems to risky for my tastes and ineffective for my tastes. Also, is Volug really one rounding everything in hard mode? I seem to recall him acting similar to Sothe in that they would just weaken enemies allowing people like Aran, Nolan, Jill, etc. to get kills. Personally, the fact that he doesn't one round is better than him one rounding in my opinion. That's just my opinion though.
  12. If that was meant to be directed towards me, then I still stand bye what I said. I won't try to persuade you, but some would disagree. Those growths are terrible, even for a Thracia 776 character. They're also the growths that are easiest to fix since you get the scrolls for them so early. Oh and speed ring on chapter 3.
  13. ? Technically it is. Not in America, but in chunks of Asia and Africa. Yep, Africa. Ironic, ne? I've read that it does actually still exist in some parts of America, particularly in the south-west (The Arizona, Colorado, and Utah area for those who are geographically retarded). What happens is that companies hire immigrants (I think it was mostly Mexicans and African's but there could have been more) and then essentially treat them like slaves.
  14. If that was meant to be directed towards me, then I still stand bye what I said.
  15. Including the characters in "Lyn's route" aka part one, the hack now has 60 playable characters (for those wondering, you can only have a max of 63 playable characters in the GBA games, that's why I have mandatory death characters). Part one has 15 playable characters, three of which are mandatory death characters. Of the 15, four of them are playable in part two (aka the present), one of whom is a mandatory death character and the other 11 join you again in part three (the future part 2) two of which are mandatory death characters. So yeah, they all become recruitable again, but most of them don't rejoin you until part three, and you are forced to kill off three of the 15 at certain points in the game.
  16. Define what would happen. That's to general for me to give a definite answer. And the only reason I haven't released any screen shots is because I haven't edited any text or battle palettes yet. Same with inserting mugs too. I was going to do that this weekend and start posting screens. I could post images that prove I have been working on editing events, but I thought that would be boring/uninteresting.
  17. Most: Nolan (Honorable mention to FEDS Merric) Least: Marty
  18. Last I checked, you can't do the above with nightmare. Also, you should make Gonzales be the same level in both routes. And lower Karel's level so he can get more benefits from his godly growthes
  19. As some of you may or may not know, recently I came across a problem that made it so that I could only have one Lord character or something along those lines and such...... Yeah. Long story short, I was having trouble making the game work so that if certain characters died, the player got a game over. Well I found a way around this problem, but at a cost. To some, this may annoy you and to others it may not, but the game now needs to be split up into "three parts" since I need to include "Lyn's tale." "Lyn's tale" will essentially act as a prologue to the actual game and will take place in the future, allowing the player to get an idea of what the future world of Jugdral looks like before actually going there to save the future. This part of the game will be similar to Lyn's original story in that it involves the last remaining humans trying to find people they believe to be their last hope of survival after the demons stole their time machine from them. These "rebel forces" are in search of two people: The fabled last magic user and last crusader. Magic is extinct in the future for the most part, and the last magic user is said to be the last living human who can use magic. Although he is rumored to be very old, he is extraordinarily powerful, and it is rumored that he himself is the sole reason why a small area of Silesia has been able to hold off the demons attacks (The remaining humans have been forced to take refuge in a small area of Issac, though there are some very small settlements spread through Grandbell, but they are quickly being routed). No one has seen this powerful sage as of late though..... The last crusader is said to be the last human alive with any holy blood in them at all. She is rumored to be the descendant of the last King of Issac, Shanan, as Shanan's only son left the kingdom of Issac only to never be seen or heard from again ending the Issac Major holy blood lineage. Should she still live, or even exist, she would only have minor Odo blood though. During this part of the game, you will mostly have control over future classes (future soldiers, scientists, future warriors) along with olden day classes Thieves, bandits, berserkers, thief fighters, and assassins. You will mostly be fighting said olden day classes along with fighting actual demons. Due to how the events for this part of the game seem to need to work (well for me anyway) the prologue and chapter 10 of the game will remain unchanged. Personally, I saw this as enough of a necessary update to make so I made it. This will in no way effect the release of the demo. It's just that the demo is not going to be the starting location of the final version of the game. The only thing about the demo that this effects is the fact that Dawn, whose death will now result in a game over, will not trigger anything in the demo. She is only playable in the final chapter of the demo anyway :o Any feedback on this change would be nice. Also, sorry for posting four times in a row.....
  20. Generally, the only way anyone from the dawn brigade will reach ??/10 is if you give them paragon.
  21. I'm really only bringing this up since you mentioned that Nolan has the second best durability, but if Aran doesn't have the best durability of the DB, then who does?
  22. Based on how the list is working so far, are there going to be any characters who despite being low on the tier list are going to get a good ranking? For example, Lehran is pretty low on the tier list, but he could still get a 10 ranking in theory correct?
  23. At Last! The demo is nearing completion! All I have to do is edit the text, make the chapter 2 events, and put everything together. As of right now, I am hoping it will be released before the second week of December at the latest. I have to work for most of this weekend and next week, so don't expect any updates for a while. The only other update I will have between now and the demo is some screen shots showing the edited text and some edited battle palettes. What the demo will include: - It will go from the prolouge to chapter 2. - Only the characters, classes, and items that appear in the demo will have been edited. - It will show an example of both the mandatory death system and temp character system. Also, as one last gift, here is the character chart for the hack: It is subject to change and additions as the hack progresses. Those who are not located in a specific section are left to remain a mystery to the player for the moment. As you can see, there are 50 playable characters, 5 mandatory death characters, 3 temp characters, and 25 Villians. The reason for the small amount of villians is because demons all generally use the same mug since they are meant to be somewhat generic like that. At least they will have mugs, unlike in FE8. EDIT: Chapter 2 events done.
