  1. Chapter 1 (4/4): Marcus picked up Roy turn 1 and just charged ahead. Allen 2RKOd the Fighter near the bottom on PP and EP, then cleared Marcus’ path on Turn 2 and cleaned a bunch of the enemies while Marcus ran forward and dropped Roy. Roy needed a Rapier crit to not have his path blocked but it WORKED OUT. Chapter 2 (6/10): Ran forward. Wade held off the right hand side and Marcus dropped Roy on the bottom-rightmost fort on Turn 3, where Roy killed a lot of things. Allen got the bosskill because Marcus whiffed an Iron Axe hit (used EP Steel Axe + PP Iron Axe) Chapter 3 (6/16): Ran forward. Wade went and recruited Lugh. Merlinus died stalling some Soldiers. Chapter 4 (5/21): Ran forward. Fed Lugh kills where I could using SLIM LANCE MARCUS to leave enemies on low HP. WADE tradechained Roy to Allen and then Marcus. Chapter 5 (4/25): Couldn’t make the 3-turn work out because my Marcus wasn't godly enough, but Lugh got a good amount of EXP as a result so it’s fine. Chapter 6 (4/29): Ran through the middle. Lugh got a bunch of EXP from just being thrown into the middle and praying he survived. It worked out! Marcus got a super rigged level off killing Wagner (HP/Str/Spd/Def), what a god. Chapter 7 (7/36): Yep. NPC Treck/Jerrot helped a ton, Jerrot was a huge asshole though and just sort of ran up the right side towards the boss area after all the enemies were gone so Noah couldn’t recruit him until the very last turn. I used the Door Key from Chapter 4 to open the gate with Marcus so he could canto and just destroy most of the boss area reinforcements with a Hand Axe. I think I could’ve 6-turned if I played a bit more aggressively but Jerrot would’ve probably fucked it up anyways by running away. Bought a couple sets of Chest Keys and some Door Keys, and a Thunder tome for Lugh. Lugh got a couple rounds at the Arena after all the enemies were gone, he got a bunch of levels here so he’s pretty competent now. Somehow rout'd the entire map. Lugh probably saved a few turns here by just baiting all the enemies to him while he sat at 6 HP on a forest and killed everything. Wade and Merlinus got villages on the right. edit: STATS for now since Ch 8 hates my guts Unit Lv HP Pow Skl Spd Luk Def Res Wpnlvl Roy 5.51 21 9 7 10 11 6 0 D Swd Marcus 4.71 35 11 14 13 10 10 9 D Swd D Axe A Lnc Allen 10.90 29 14 8 11 7 9 1 D Swd D Lnc Wade 5.50 31 10 6 5 5 3 0 D Axe Lugh 11.07 21 10 12 13 10 4 7 C Anm Noah 7.81 27 8 7 9 6 7 1 C Swd D Lnc
  2. In order to reunite Jerrot with his wife, Carmine will have to pull a bigbrain strat. Will he do it, in the name of love?

  4. Carmine gets his favorite cleric girl, ELEN. @Carmine Sword
  5. @Carmine Sword gets the best prepromote, Garret!

  7. So I pick for Carmine, Carmine picks for Unaware, Unaware picks for Gradivus, and Gradivus picks for me. Congratulations, @Carmine Sword! You get... KAREL!
  8. Ever feel like you have too much control over whether or not you get terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad units? Boy, do I have the draft for you! Downsizing the player count to 4 so there’s no leftover units. It’s also probably more balanced than 5 players, but uh, it’s a SOYO, so... Drafting: 1. This draft is for 4 players. 2. Roy, Marcus, Merlinus, Lalum/Elphin, and Fae are free for all to use. 3. The game will be played on Normal Mode. 4. This is a SOYO (Screw Over Your Opponent) draft, meaning you will be drafting for somebody else. The drafting order will be 1-2-3-4 repeat, with no snaking. 5. You cannot give a player both Dayan and Juno, or both Echidna and Bartre. Rules: 1. Undrafted units may recruit characters, rescue undrafted units and NPCs, trade, visit Shops and Armories, and dig up items in the desert. 2. Undrafted units may not do anything not listed above, including but not limited to meatshielding, building Supports, and opening Doors or Chests. 3. Use of the Warp staff is banned. 4. All Gaiden chapters are required to be visited. Chapter 20x (either route) does not count towards the total turncount up to 20 turns taken. 5. NPCs may do as they please without penalty. 6. The game must be played out to the True Ending. Penalties: 1. Undrafted units have a 4 turn penalty per unit, per chapter. Exceptions: 1. Undrafted Thieves may be used to obtain necessary Promotion items. Participants: 1. Carmine Sword (picked by ME): Karel, Barth, Garret, Igrene, Raigh, Elen, Shin, Yuno, Chad, Saul, Lance, Jerrot *180 Turns 2. Unaware Heir (picked by Carmine): Douglas, Gonzales, Bartre, Hugh, Ogier, Bors, Clarine, Perceval, Astore, Niime, Rutger, Deke 3. Gradivus (picked by Unaware): Sophia, Cath, Fir, Dorothy, Wolt, Yodel, Lot, Zeiss, Treck, Sue, Tate, Shanna 4. Finalinsanity (picked by Gradivus): Wendy, Geese, Dayan, Lilina, Klein, Wade, Lugh, Echidna, Cecilia, Noah, Allen, Milady *169 Turns
  9. SAMSON @Gradivus. I'll probably start this run next week, been pretty unexpectedly busy to give this much focus. Might go H5 for FULL MASOCHISM like some other people have been. EDIT: giving coonrat Elice just so the drafting can be done, he hasn't been on since Monday.
  10. yeah sorry about that I should've picked up the slack on this sooner, the rando'd Tiki pick is a fine solution by me on that note @Sturm has their turn next!
  11. “Has a Sadist Draft ever been tried for a non-GBA game?”, I wondered to myself. Upon searching for other Sadist Drafts… yes, apparently! Two others, one for FE11 and one for FE12. However, the FE11 thread never got enough participants, so really, does that even count? Maybe this time, 6 years later, things will be different. In addition to banning mounted classes + the extremely small teams, I’m also banning the Gaiden units and meatshielding in general (past Chapter 3), taking a few ideas from the H4 No Meatshielding Draft, since having a ton of distractions doesn't seem to me in the spirit of “Sadist Draft”. Gaidens only account for like, 4 units anyways. Drafting: 1. This draft is for 12 players. Players will draft 4 units each. One unit will remain undrafted. 2. The 3rd round of drafting is reversed. (ex; 1-2-3-4, 4-3-2-1, 4-3-2-1, 1-2-3-4, done) 3. Marth, Jagen, and Gotoh/Nagi are free for all to use. 4. The game will be played on Hard 2 (Brutal). 5. Gaiden chapters may not be visited. The exception is 24x, which counts the same as any other chapter if visited. Rules: 1. Undrafted units may not be deployed, except to recruit drafted units or visit Secret Shops. If deployed for these reasons, they may trade and talk, but may not do anything else. This includes using Map Saves. 2. Force-deployed units (such as the Wolfguard or the Prisoner Squad) may be attacked unarmed without penalty. 3. Forging is allowed with no restrictions. 4. Drafted units may not be used in a mounted class*. 5. You are free to reclass undrafted units to whatever you want. 6. Usage of the Wi-Fi Shop, and of the Warp staff, is strictly prohibited. 7. The Boots may not be used on Marth. *Mounted Classes: Cavalier, Paladin, Peg Knight, Falcoknight, Dracoknight, Horseman Extra: 1. You may not use loaner units. 2. One undrafted unit is free for Chapter 1. 3. Wrys is free until Chapter 4. 4. Drafted units force-deployed in mounted classes are fair game for that chapter only. 5. Julian can open the door to Rickard’s cell without penalty. Penalties: 1. Using an undrafted unit is a 4 turn penalty, per unit per chapter. Undrafted SCRUBS: Participants: 1. Solvaij: Wolf, Minerva, Jeorge, Bantu 2. Sturm: Barst, Linde, Xane 3. Rute21: Midia, Gordin, Maria 4. jeigansucksexp: Wendell, Beck, Tiki 5. GeneralHorace: Ogma, Jake, Wrys 6. DarthR0xas: Sedgar, Hardin, Catria 7. TheJuk: Bord, Navarre, Roshea 8. coonrat1: Julian, Roger, Matthis 9. Carmine Sword: Merric, Darros, Astram, 10. umerol: Cain, Caeda, Radd 11. Finalinsanity: Cord, Abel, Caesar 12. Gradivus: DOGA, Castor, Lena
  12. Chapter 23 (3/176): Yep. Ran forward and had Saul heal off all the status on Turn 3. Allen ORKO’d Brunya with the Durandal. Chapter 24 (8/184): Ran forward and tried to not die horribly. Marcus had just barely enough bulk after the Dracoshield from Zephiel’s map (amazingly clutch) to be 3HKO’d by the non-boss Manaketes, it was great. Saul got the honor of killing Jahn because Allen was a doofus and missed twice. Used my last 4 Rescues. Somehow didn't break the Saint Staff. Endgame (1/185): Roy couldn’t ORKO because he’s too SLOW. No problem, he can do with a Dance an- NO FAE WHAT ARE YOU DOING ... Well, all’s well that end’s well, right?
  13. Each costs 4,000 gold with the Silver Card. Hoarding money for boots is pretty important to make the last few maps zoom by. Every boot is +2 move to a unit after all, and who doesn't love having a 14/15 move army just zoom around the map doing things super fast? Chapter 20Sx (Free/157): Wanted to train more but this map is dumb and Roy seized the first throne I checked. I still got about 12 turns of training in though, some good levels, and killed all the Druid bosses at least. Saul is almost to S staves and will probably hit it with all the staffing he’s likely to do. He doesn't need S until whatever the final turn of Ch 23 ends up being, so here's hoping? Marcus is almost to S Axes. I’ll keep a save back here in case I need to redo it for WExp on like Saul or something. Chapter 21 (6/163): Zeiss picks up Saul Turn 1, gets Danced to the Knight Crest village, and convoys it. Yodel took it out and sold it, along with his own sellable goods. Marcus goes east to fight things for Axe WEXP and hits S. Turn 2, Zeiss drops Saul so on Turn 3, he can Rescue Allen (given Roy by Shin) down, and he charges straight for Murdock, dropping Roy just below the leftmost Knight on Turn 5 and Cantoing in front of Murdock. They hit B support at the start of the map, so Allen has an extremely reliable 3HKO at 86% displayed hit with the Armorslayer and faces like 10% hit in return. Also, I have a lot of money after selling all the extra stuff I had. 134,001G to be exact. After the Knight Crest and Members Card get sold, I have 141,001G. With it, Zeiss buys: 31 Boots 1 Speedwing 2 Energy Rings 3 Purge tomes Chad was worth it. The Speedwing is for Marcus, who just hit S axes. An Energy Ring is for Saul to hit his Mag cap (though he might not need it?) for Rescue range and Purging things. The other Energy Ring? A mystery. For now. Everybody used whatever boosters they could before Roy seized on Turn 6. Chapter 21x (5/168): Zeiss flew up with Saul and he Rescued Allen holding Roy on Turn 4. I opted for this over just a Zeiss ferry to make the bosskill and Roy’s survival less dumb. Everyone used lots of BOOTS. Chapter 22 (5/173): Didn’t have the manpower to make a 4 turn, I don’t think. I tried it a couple times but it just kinda didn’t work out, maybe if I hadn’t used Rescue last map. OH WELL Saul, Zeiss, Shin, Marcus, and Lalum went on the left. Roy, Allen, Fir on the right. Fae and Dorothy were there too, to collect some treasure. Roy and Fir pretty much took the charge towards the throne room all by themselves, with Allen going off to hit the switch. Roy opened the door on Turn 4 and Fir walked inside and sat on some stairs. Saul slept one of the Manaketes so it doesn’t murderize Fir, and on Turn 5, Physic’d her so she could do this; That’s 18x2 damage, so a crit + hit brings an end to Zephiel. This is why I bought an Energy Ring for a MYSTERY PERSON. Last pick mattered! Saul hit S Light and S Staves just in time for Chapter 23.
  14. Chapter 18S (2/147): Pretty easy actually. Saul got dropped on a hut on Turn 1 by Allen, surviving some stuff (1 HP, living on a prayer), and then Rescued Roy down on Turn 2. Allen got Speed on EP which meant he could quad the boss with the Brave Lance, otherwise I could’ve gone for a Killing Edge hit + crit. Chapter 19S (5/152): Roy, Allen, Zeiss, Shin, and Saul went up the right. Turn 1 Lalum danced Allen holding Saul ahead and he dropped forward. Allen and Shin Brave’d the wall down on Turn 3 and Saul Rescued Zeiss so he could fight the central enemies on EP. Zeiss got given Roy on Turn 4 and dropped him near the throne, enough enemies were dead there was no real threat to either of them, since everyone but a single Trooper targeted Zeiss anyways. He killer crit the boss on Turn 5 at 41% hit, 26% crit. Pretty bad, but it took very little time to get, so that's nice. Everyone else was focused on stealing the Elixir from the Trooper near the start and getting some easy kills. Chapter 20S (5/157): Thank god for Saul. He opens up by Silencing the Berserk dude on the right, then Silences the Bolting guys so they don’t cause problems, RIP Silence staff I guess. Not that I should need it for anything else. Allen, Shin, Marcus, and Zeiss charged through the treasure room on the right, with Allen dropping Roy off on a pillar on turn 4 just right of the boss. Bosskill was x2 Armorslayer from Allen + 1 hit from Zeiss with pretty much anything (he was left with 4 HP). Chad, Marcus, and Shin fully looted the treasure room. Deployed Sue to recruit Dayan.
  15. Chapter 14x (4/113): Allen runs ahead with Shin in tow, drops him off, and counterkills a couple dudes on EP. Marcus follows behind with Roy in tow to Give him to Allen. Both were assisted by Lalum on turns 1 and 2 respectively. Shin kills the Nosferatu Druid so he can’t attack Roy on Turn 3 EP. Chapter 15 (8/121): Kinda boring. But it was a good opportunity to feed Roy kills, he really needed the boost. Probably could've done it a turn faster if I hadn't focused on feeding Roy so much or was better about where I’d put Shin/Marcus, but I’ll take it. Chapter 16 (12/133): An effort, as usual. This felt really sloppy, and I absolutely could’ve seized faster, but I wanted to steal all of Narcian’s stuff, and it gave Allen a chance to get both the Hero and Knight Crests, so I think it was probably worth it for the money? Fir Wyrmslayer’d Narcian, Milady got dragged along to recruit Zeiss who ate both Speedwings ASAP, recruited Hugh for minimum price, the works. Chapter 16x (6/139): Shin, Allen, and Marcus charged up the right with Roy and Lalum in the saddlebags. On Turn 5, Allen had to get given Roy by Shin, and then KE crit the Sniper (yeah I could’ve Brave Lanced it instead but I gotta get that sword WExp), then get Danced by Lalum to drop Roy near the throne. Had to do a super dumb Brave Lance kill hitting 3 of 4 hits at 49% hit, but at least it wasn’t as dumb as last draft! Zeiss got kills where he could, including both Paladins, he hit Lv 10 so he’ll promote next map. Chapter 17S (6/145): Zeiss couldn’t kill the boss without an unholy and disgusting amount of rigging (Roy hitting Light Brand on EP at 41%, then a double Killer hit + 1 crit at sub-50 hit with 23% crit, gross) so I just took the extra turn for boots money and reliability. Then Zeiss got a perfect level off the bosskill so you know what, WE TAKE THOSE. Got a billion money at the Arena at least.
