By a quick count, the Duck badge outright beats 31 other character badges. Excellent. but if you added a Leif badge... maybe that would change...

To be fair, the GBA version of SMB3 added the cape from World, as well as a boomerang suit. Granted, you needed to possess a mythical e-Reader to actually use them, but still... it was a neat little bonus for them to do. So yeah, Nintendo definitely could have done something similar here with the power-up situation, though I do get the "preserving the era" argument. well that is until I see that there's no slopes ayyyyy lmao! speaking of "preserving the era", my personal disappointment with the power-ups is that they didn't include some of the big ones from each respective game. No frog suit in SMB3 for water levels? No hammer bros suit for wrecking shit? NO PENGUIN SUIT FOR PENGUIN-ING?! thank goodness they gave us that Luigi mushroom in SMB1, tho... For real, though, the game looks all right. Not a must-have to me, but I bet the sequel will be.

Off the top of my head: -Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (GBA) had the best story out of all of 'em. Not that it's saying much, but yeah... -The Phoenix Wright games' overall portrayal and presentation of law and justice is just a bit too cringe-worthy, even if it does try to hide this notion by being humorous or "satirical" about things. Godot's still kind of a bro, though. -The best Zelda games are the GB/C ones. I miss the Gary Oak/DICKFACE of Zelda: ya boy Ralph. PS2's the best console, followed by the SNES. Best handheld is the DS, not counting cross-play.

I'm definitely partial to Genealogy of the Holy War as a title. It works in its stellar, game-defining game mechanic while still sounding interesting and honestly just baller as hell. I mean... ya'll can go ahead and have your little awakening or whateva it is ya want to do... meanwhile, we'll be having our m'fin HOLY WAR up in here, and with OUR CHILDREN too, sucka! Nah, but actually Awakening's a swell title, or something... And honestly, I really don't care for Radiant Dawn as a title. Yeah, it obviously hearkens back to Path of Radiance and all--which I do really like as a title--but Radiant Dawn itself just sounds... a bit too contrived for my taste. but that's just like, my opinion, man, and also apparently only mine alone... alas... also I just call FE12 "New Mystery of the Emblem" so la la la didn't see that awful name... Oh, and I think Thracia 776 makes sense as a name from a marketing standpoint--at the time around its announcement and release, it could potentially resonate very well with those that played FE4, and blah blah blah. Maybe it hasn't held up over time very well...
